July 2025, second stay at this campsite... and we weren't wrong in our choice to go back there! A perfect location for the Snowdonia Mountains and an awesome camp. The shower block up on the hard pitches is particularly good with a nice dish washing area and laundry facilities. The staff were extra nice and helpful and to hear (and in our case, see) the little steam train chugging through the site is like the cherry on the cake 🥰

Stayed for a couple of nights in a tent, we chose a spot next to the brook. Being a Bank Holiday the site was busy but not over crowded. Toilet facilities were clean and plenty of them. Lovely little shop. Friendly staff, take away from the bakehouse was excellent. Perfect base for a snowdon climb and easy walking distance to pubs and Beddgelert, steam train stops on site beautiful views from the camping field

What a beautiful site. We have just come back from a 6 night camping break. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The site itself is clean and various areas are well sign posted. The toilet/showers are very clean. They are a little different from the conventional toilet blocks that you get on campsites. These are all in one toilet/showers. The site is set in a forest so don't expect uniformed pitches for your tent or campervan. You have trees, ferns, brambles and logs all around you. The ground on the hard standing is solid with slate chippings in certin places but it is possible to get pegs in the ground but make sure they are hard standing pegs and bring a mallet to hammer them in. The surroundings are amazing and there is a steam train that goes past a couple of times a day and there is actually a station on the campsite that you can pre-book and take the train from which is handy. We pre-ordered meals when we booked the pitch and when you get there you can choose the night and time that you want the meals which is good. The food itself is very nice and you get a decent portion. The reception/shop/cafe is well stocked (a little expensive but what camp shop isn't?) We were blown away by this site and will 100% visit again.

Another good stay here in the hard standing camping pitches. The site is based in a wood which really make it special. Check in was easy and staff were helpful. Facilities are also good quality too. My only gripe would be that I think the staff need to check pitches once and a while. Our pitch had 3 pegs still poking in the ground which had been left there. We could have easily had a puncture. There was a couple of pitches which had discarded items which were never returned to during our stay. It didn't look like someone reserving their pitch anyway. Other than that. A great stay!

Really lovely site, stayed in our van on hard standing pitch with EHU. Most pitches are level and are 1st come first served. Toilets and showers are very clean, very modern. Excellent facilities all round, really friendly staff in a well stocked site shop. Takeaway food anvailable every evening or take a short 20 min walk by road (no path) or 30 min by trail into Beddgelert. Love this site, would def recommend.

We had a lovely stay — the pitches were level and well-maintained, set in a beautiful woodland location surrounded by bluebells and wildflowers. It was incredibly peaceful, with only birdsong in the background, making it feel like a real escape into nature. The facilities were nearly immaculate — clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. The only small issue was that the shower water was quite hot, and it would be helpful to have a way to control the temperature. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. One tip: don’t forget the insect repellent! The midges can be relentless in the evening. Overall, a tranquil, scenic site with excellent amenities — we’d definitely return.

A cracking campsite, not much sun but it's a wooded site so you expect trees. Nicely laid out and sheltered on the campervan Pitches. Fantastic toilets and shower units. Very friendly and helpful staff and well stocked shop at reasonable prices. You are allowed off ground fire pits and the shop sells fire kits. A really nice half hour walk through the trees and foothills to Beddgelert, no roads to worry about. The steam train that stops at the station on the site was a bonus and great day out. Dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

This site wasn't my first choice to stay; however, I'm so very glad we went here; we couldn't fault any part of the stay. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The pitch (which you choose yourself) are all separated, so not 'over looked; they are relatively flat (needed a slight lift); the water points are available around the site. Our pitch was along side the Welsh Highland Railway, which ran a few times a day; there's a station available 'on-site' if you want to take a ride (however, you'll need a large wallet). It was very quiet at night and lots of bird song during the day. The site is dog friendly. The amenities are second to none; they are modular, such that they contain a shower (with loads of very hot water), sink & toilet and they are very modern and very clean. There is shop and a takeaway on site; the takeaway portions are far too large and would quite easily serve two people. The location is within a short walk of Beddgelert and/or a short drive to Ryd-Ddu which is the start to one of the best routes up Snowdon. Outside of the site is a bus stop, which will take you (and dogs) to various places (including the seaside).
