It would be my sixth time at the hostel, yesterday my friend and I arrived around 5 pm to check in, and they simply told us that they couldn't because they don't accept residents... so far it would be ok, their rules I respect , but in booking, there’s no information before buying, just a message after the purchase. I suggested leaving you informed on the website in the "important information" tab instead of a mere message AFTER having made the reservation. My friend came home, and I, with a suitcase and a giant backpack, went out looking for a hotel. Sad, even more to know that the 4 nights I paid, which I can't stay, will not be refunded. It's the alert so that it doesn't happen to other people.

I love this hostel! It can get noisy at times, even though they do have quiet hours — it really depends on who you’re sharing a room with. Luckily, I brought earplugs, so it didn’t ruin my stay in Miami, but I still wish guests were more respectful of each other. The staff are amazing, the location is perfect, and I really appreciated the breakfast they used to offer. If you arrive before check-in or have an early check-out, you can leave your luggage in their storage room, which is super helpful. There’s also a bar if you want a drink, and the best part — the ocean is just steps away! You can even borrow a beach towel or a chair, which is such a nice touch. Thank you so much!

I go there 2/3 times a year. Always clean and friendly. It's my Miami home :) Already miss all the energy. Now they also allow you to get a free towel for the beach, and they organize Karaokes and parties, which is a great way to connect with new friends!!

Worst ever hostel, I paid the whole amount for 2 days, they even said before that my booking is confirmed & then also they did'nt let me in after coming on the second day because first day flight was cancelled due to bad weather here. They wanted even more money for my stay + 50$ card deposit which has to be of my own & also they whole amount has to be paid through credit card. Never seen someone soo greedy & both of the 2 receptionists are seriously so rude, they dont know how to talk to tired tourists coming at their hostel for stay. Been to so many countries but first time saw a hotel with such policies & greedy staff. Didnt even want to give 1 star they deserve zero star. They should understand from others point of view. But one of their hotel staff named paul helped me a lot at midnight & found me a hotel nearby which was even cheaper & better than this hostel.

Google
You should go here if you want to buy lots of drinks, sing karaoke, and hang in Miami. You should not go here if you expect a normal hostel for budget travel. You cannot use the comfortable common space advertised any later than 9pm. You are instead explicitly encouraged to buy drinks at the bar. You cannot use the refrigerators or kitchen space. If you buy your own food, you cannot eat it in the dining area. These amenities are listed because they exist, but you will not have access to them. If you want to eat your food or find a quiet space to relax, it'll have to be outside, and it was actually pretty cold when we were there. There is no space to just be. Also, at check-in, they required proof of departure from the city of Miami -- unmentioned on their website. We were on a road trip and had no such papers. They also require passports, which we fortunately had, but a US driver's license is usually acceptable at hostels and hotels, and that requirement wasn't listed online either, so we could have easily been SOL. The person at the front desk insisted that nothing we had was proof enough of our non-residency in Miami for about 40 minutes. If we hadn't paid ahead of time, we would have left about 5 mins in. Instead, we stood there, exhausted for the better part of an hour. Everything about this place made it hard for travelers. Everything about this place pushed guests into paying money. I've been to a ton of hostels and have never experienced such transparently shitty policies.

I’ve never had such a horrible experience at a hostel. I showed my Dominican ID since I’ve just relocated, and the woman at the front desk asked me for US id or passport, which I do t carry around, I’m a US citizen. Mind you it was 1 am, I had already paid ahead of time, and I showed her my drivers license which had an outdated Miami address (I haven’t changed it yet because I just moved in May) and she denied me a bed, at 1 am in south beach, which I think is dangerous and inconsiderate for a single female traveler, because according to her they do not service locals, even though I showed her my international id. It was very inconvenient and they didn’t give me a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. First and only time this has ever happened to me. Also, no parking so if you’re driving good luck here. I love Hostel world but this was a dub. Never again

Google
They don’t tell you that you need to prove that you are not a Florida resident or that you need to produce proof of an airline ticket to leave Florida before they charge you for staying. Then it is too late. They won’t refund you. This is criminal behaviour. I’m seeking an attorney. I’m out a bunch of money due to fraud. Larceny. Also the resort fee and the 50 dollar security deposit are not mentioned. So plan on spending 100 in surprise fees. This place is a criminal enterprise.

This hostel seats at perfect location. The room eas with own bathroom which was a big plus. You will get towel for free with your stay. Only ladies room was really appreciated. I had a great stay and i would chose this accommodation again for sure.

Yelp
Great value for where it is located. So close to the beach. We rented a two-bedroom private room w ensuite and were impressed. Some areas for improvement: check-in was super SLOW, maybe have guests sign the waiver online before arrival? The bathroom in our room had a constant wet funk smell to it and most of the outlets did not work. And housekeeping only comes on request which wasn't explained to us. Otherwise, staff were friendly and helpful. And the room had AC (a must!) and lots of windows to let in the sun. Would stay again.

Yelp
Great location for walking to restaurants & shopping. There was no auto parking provided for this hostel. There is hourly on street parking & a parking building 2 blocks away. It was clean. The price for one bed in a room of 6 is low so that's the main benefit of course. You are provided a thin towel & bedding but not even soap. The bunk beds are the inexpensive, lightweight, tubular ones so whenever anyone turns over in the lower bunk bed it felt like a quake in the upper bunk. There is a bathroom with shower for the 6 roommates & a sink in the room. It's advertised as having alcoholic beverages at the bar but that wasn't open in December, 2024. The staff are nice but most don't speak English. Make sure you observe the bed number you're assigned if you're new to hostels or they charge a fee.

Yelp
Update 6/3/22: The hostel has decided to remove me from the premises as Tropical Storm Alex hits Miami, due to the below review. I am appalled at "Beds'N Drinks" hostel for this decision, and will never return, regardless of their future renovation status. It feels criminal at worst, and incredibly petty at best. The owners of this establishment should be concerned about continuing to use Equity Point Management. Luckily I have been able to book at Generator Hostel nearby. It is such a huge improvement, and I'm so glad to now be at Generator. Original Review: This was sold to me as the best solo traveler hostel, full of lively activities, but that seems to be a lie. The worthwhile events (hotdog parties, movie screenings, back patio and bar, nightclub crawls, etc) are all cancelled due to "renovations." This is not apparent on the website, or HostelWorld listing, anywhere. This fact lowers this property from a fun place to meet people and do things to a very lame place. It is close to the beach, but so is literally every other hostel in Miami Beach. Do not recommend.

Yelp
First time at a hostel. It was a great experience and recommend this place regardless of your age. Well kept premises with washer and dryer's new by the way. You pay a tiny amount for security deposit but they send it back to you after a few days.

Yelp
Ive stayed in a hostel a couple time but the sheets of this hostel smells a Clorox very strong, I've couldn't sleep in the whole night, was terrible and I found some hairs on the sheets, was disgusting

Yelp
Only beds, no drinks (the bar area was not open at all). Staying here was okay but I wouldn't do it again. That being said I don't think I would stay in any hostel again. Pros: -pretty cheap -they have beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas you can take to the beach for free -check in anytime -close to the beach Cons: -no drinks -so many of the outlets in the room didn't work -kinda gross (doesn't seem like they do deep cleans) -some of the staff clearly hated their job The free breakfast isn't great, but it's not the worst (oatmeal, yogurt, nutrigrain bar, and fruit). There are lockers in the dorms BUT YOU HAVE TO BRING YOUR OWN LOCK! (or buy one from the desk for $10). It was a fine place to stay but overall just wasn't worth it. I would rather pay a little more and stay in a hotel or airbnb

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I had a booking for 4pm, got here at 4pm waited 1hr40min on a line so the girl at reception would tell me that she couldn't find me in the system so I should wait MORE to get my room, that it wouldn't be "1 hour wait probably" even that I waited already almost 2 hours!!! I have a plane to catch at 10pm in fort lauderdale, just did the reservation to take a shower and rest. she didn't tried to help me or solve my problem, she was disrespectful laughing when I turned my back on her to wait at the lobby! I am 100% disappointed, cheap place but even cheaper service!!!! NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY! AWFUL, waiting at the lobby feeling like shit and tired af, but what can we do if the system wouldn't update right?!?!? UPDATE: 2:30 hours wait to get my room, still waiting for the manager to arrive. UPDATE: I left after waiting 3 hours for a room and for the manager to arrive, and today 17th I got charged for the room I never got!

Yelp
Note: I will like to add that this has been the only time where I had a "strong disagreement" with the staff everywhere else I stayed it was fine. So don't take this review as representative of my experience in hostels. I've stayed in other hostels for 14 days and never had any issue. You guys feel free to read my other reviews.

Yelp
Exceeded my expectations of a hostel. I've never stayed at one before, so this was a new experience for me. My boyfriend and I checked in at around 7am and checked out at 11am. We landed at MIA at 5:30am this morning, our hotel at the Henrosa was not ready until 1pm, so we needed a place to crash for the time being. The woman that checked us in was so nice and helpful! We called 3 other hostels before we called Bed N' Drinks, all the other ones denied us "check-in" at 7am because their check in time was 3pm. When the front desk woman answered at the Bed N' Drinks, she was immediate to offer a check-in at this hour with the same rules applying (a check-out at 11am). We walked over from our original Hotel and were able to get into our beds in about 5 minutes! About $33 each, which is AMAZING considering we could have paid $100+ for a regular hotel. The actual rooms are nice and neat. We were with 2 other men (co-ed dorm) so it was just the 4 of us. They were very courteous and quiet when leaving and entering the room and when they were packing. The bed was so comfy too. Only a regular blanket but that worked for us!!! would TOTALLY recommend this place. We missed the free breakfast because we were so tired, but would have loved to try it out! Check this place out!!!!!!

Yelp
As the other reviewer said, only beds, no drinks. The bar is closed and there are minimal common areas for mingling. The worst thing was that I had absolutely no reception, even when connected to the wifi. There also are not planned social events as advertised on the websites, which is what many people look for in hostels. You were pretty much left on your own to figure out what to do. It was a bit dirty and although housekeeping came around they should really do a deep clean. The free breakfast is also lame, just a granola bar, yogurt, and oatmeal packet.

Yelp
This place was okay. The rooms were clean - I had a private room. The breakfast was a hard bagel in a bag and not fresh coffee ... The staff was pretty unprofessional as they kept cursing at the front desk. It was uncomfortable. The location of this place was conveniently located near the beach. I would say that is worth the 3 stars.

Yelp
COCKROACHES wasn't even the worst thing!.....Not one amenity was provided as described. No shuttle as advertised, Breakfast consisted of Tap Water and Toast. The facility was in complete disrepair, the bar was not open and the common "kitchen" area was nonexistent. The patio was not cleaned and covered in vomit. Room 207 was infested with Cockroaches. Front Desk was "unable" to provide any service recovery without a manager. Not only was there no manager for 3 days straight, but there also has not been a manager available for the past 10 days. We checked out after the 1st night, were promised the have the 2 remaining nights refunded, They have not. They also kept the security deposit claiming we did not return our keys, we returned them when we spoke to the front desk clerk.

Yelp
Worst Hotel to stay at Not because of the location not because of the cleanliness but BECAUSE OF THE EMPLOYEES!! So rude so they do not know how to talk to paying guest the manager told me to shut my 3 year old up. I booked 2 weeks in advance and they told me I had to show proof of a flight to stay or else my stay will be canceled and my refund will be declined for the full amount I contacted the property several times and you have to call over 4 times in a row before someone rudely answers and won't even give you there name DONT STAY HERE

Ean A.

Yelp
Hi, Do not stay here. Roaches, Rats, and bed bugs are viable present. Staff on site doesn't clean or provide security, Guests had to call police to get squatters out of their rooms. No response from management Josy Miranda for a month after stay. Very, Very poor experience start to finish, awaiting contact information for EquityPoint how runs property on who to escalate this to.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time. Had the cherry hookah and pitcher of tequila and pineapple juice. The bartender was hilarious. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Met some people from Paris and London. We talked and laughed the night away. I got sleepy so I handed over my liquor and hookah to my new friends in Paris and we left. Will be returning

Yelp
I stayed in the girls dorm. The check in was painless. $10 for the key card & towel deposit. I was given a number to hang on the bed of my choosing. The room seemed fairly clean. My bed was sandy though. It was comfortable enough & I didn't get any bites. The bathroom tile looked like there is some funky growth - Hard to tell because of the color of the tiles. They don't provide locks for the locker. Be sure to bring your own or there's a large CVS down the road. Breakfast was in a box: Bagel, yoghurt & banana. Towel can only be changed after 5 days otherwise it costs $1 per change. Great location. Round the corner from Lincoln Street Mall & 10 minutes walk from Ocean Drive & the beach. Good price for the location. The shuttle service is a little expensive compared to Super Shuttle so check them out first.

Yelp
Had to wait over an hour at 3pm for check in. Tried to check in at 2:45 but was told check in was only at 3, which then took over an hour due to everyone trying to check in and the place being staffed by one person. Possibly the most inefficient place I have ever attempted to stay at. This ruined our afternoon plans and absolutely no concessions or concern about it from the employee.

Naa Adoley A.

Yelp
This was the most disgraceful place I have ever stayed in. First of all, there were 8 people in the room. This number was constant even though people were constantly leaving and coming. My group came and witnessed some food that was on a small table in the room. By the end of our stay, none of the original people were there, yet the food was still there, and it had started molding. The floors were extremely dirty, and one could not walk barefoot without the bottom of your foot turning black. The hostel was supposed to provide a cleaning serviice, but that never happened. Day in and Day out, we saw people come and leave yet no one ever changed the sheets, they merely came in and remade the bed. If you are staying here! BEWARE! Also, there was a great infestation problem. All types of bugs were in the hotel. From roaches, ant, and mosquitos. It was absolutely nasty. The hotel workers are especially rude. One worker made us bribe him so that we could claim the bed we actually booked because the hostel had been overbooked. Worst stay of my life. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS. Several people staying at the time of our stay felt the same way.

Yelp
This place has equal no of pros and cons. Pros: very close to ocean drive, small beds but good enough place to rest at night, we stayed there for two days and were in the room only for 8 to 10hrs and this is best for that reason.. you don't need to pay for fancy hotels which you might not use unless you have other plans Cons: You are not allowed to have @ hotel room except in common area which is very small only 4 ppl can fit in that tv room which is always occupied!! We dint have a place to do pre game before we left to our reserved party place!! Because of this we are forced to buy at the bar if we have to use the patio!! So you guys might need to know this!! Anyways it was a first time experience for us!!

Yelp
I have stayed in many hostels around the world. Almost all of my stays has been a positive experience until I tried to check into this pretentious and pseudo cool vibe hostel. Here, I encountered the most rude front desk people. The front desk person did not allow me to check in because he didn't like my attitude and assured me that my booking was cancelled by the hostel itself. He also said that I would not be charged. When I asked for his name, he said, "You don't need to know my name, now get out of here." To encounter such blatant disregard for someone who has been traveling all day and witness such hostility from someone in hospitality was shocking. To add insult to injury, My card was charged twice by this property after which I was finally refunded the money after I contacted the reservation team. Unfortunately a month after the booking, they are still trying to charge my card, lying to the booking.com saying I checked in and checked out. I called the hostel to resolve this, Then the manager Ana had the audacity to say I was lying, that she was there when the encounter happened. I clearly remember her being in the office when all this happened. She hung up the phone on me soon after. I can't believe people like this exist let alone work in hospitality. Dealing with this hostel has been a nightmare since day one. They are clearly very disorganized since the management team doesn't seem to have the knowledge that I was refunded the money by their own reservation team. Save yourself the headache and stay at much travel friendly and true hostels like Freehand, SoBe and Miami.
google avatar

Yelp
My first hostel experience was here at beds and drinks Miami and probaly will be my last. The place is invested with roaches.. if you don't mine that sort of thing then you'll be fine. Close to beach and night life.

Yelp
Bar: nice and stylish bar with pleasant and helpful staff! Greetings to likeable Kristina:) We had there some beers sitting in the relaxed terrace. Enjoyable guests, too. Check out their weekly events, like Club crawl, volleyball, ... I would book it next time.

Yelp
Great hostel and well priced. I have just some few complaints that I will name right away. The first one is about the towels. They are old beach towels. I also saw them using them to clean the floors when there was water from the air condition which didn't make me super comfortable. If you want to be sure, bring your own towel. The other thing is that you don't get a sheet that protects you from the blanket. Meaning the blanket has touched I don't know how many bodies before you. Could be smart to bring this too. Apart from that it was quite clean and pleasant. The people working there were friendly and helpful and always came up with solutions. The crowd staying there was a mix of early twenties until mid thirties so you had a wide range of ages. Mostly people were in their early to late twenties I would say. The location couldn't be better. Very close to all the shops, restaurants, bars and beach. The hanging areas were nice and full of people all the time so you had always someone to talk to. I would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
PROS - The location is fantastic & there's a small bar on-site with friendly bartenders. Rooms were reasonably clean. Linens, blanket, and towel provided. En suite bathrooms. A public bathroom is available free-of-charge, which is great if your room isn't yet ready & you want to hit the beaches. CONS - You have to pay to store luggage, even if only waiting for your room to be readied. Related: they are adamant about not checking in before 3pm, even if rooms are ready. Desk staff seem very apathetic (though I notice this fair is endemic to all of Miami Beach), and I have no idea what else you get with your booking because at no point did he give any spiel to that effect (I see from other reviews that they have breakfast? This is news to me). Leaving luggage means "placing it by a closet door", where on one occasion the bags were still sitting out unwatched fifteen minutes later. Owing to that the closet is unlocked & the staff aren't very attentive, I was able to walk in and get stuff from my bags without anyone asking who I was & what I was doing. In your room: lockers don't seem to have any locking mechanisms and I didn't spot anywhere to install a padlock. Room security is controlled by electronic card, which is good, but raises the question of why you must also wear taped wristbands (we were told it was for security, but I promptly took mine off -- I loathe things on my wrists -- and no one ever seemed to notice. (admittedly a minor gripe, but in such a sunloving area: these wristbands are but one more source of tanlines) Noise is a MASSIVE issue here, with what seems to be a partier culture (hence I had very noisy bro-y roommates) and you hear every sound made from the floor above. The shower was only capable of becoming lukewarm. I had to take very quick showers to avoid getting too cold within the stall. The pillows are thick, which is great for some but less so for those of us who prefer thin pillows. The beds are perhaps on-par for a typical hostel dorm, but in combination with everything else I've listed: I tossed and turned all night, and upon waking up I spent the next 3 days with a thrown-out back.

Yelp
I've traveled to 10 different countries in the world and have stayed in many different states in the US and this is probably the worst place I've ever stayed in. Main issues: 1) Not safe - People just come and go when they please. There was a guy that was following me around and there was no security to report it to. There was one girl staying in my room that was hiding from management because she hasn't paid for a couple of nights. If they let someone like that stay in the room, how can I be sure that my things don't vanish? I left one day earlier than what I paid for because I really didn't feel safe. 2) Cheap - They don't even provide napkins for breakfast and are disgruntled when guests asks for napkins. 3) Staff just don't care - One night I accidentally left my phone on the Lyft ride and they won't do anything to help me. They pointed at a drunk male guest near the reception and to ask him for help. That is so unacceptable. 4) Fraudulent - Never got my $20 deposit back even though I returned all three things (towel, room key, metal thing to mark your bed) and checked out 1 whole day early. Final verdict: Spend a few more dollars at a more reputable hostel that won't give you headaches. AVOID at all cost.

Yelp
I have now stayed at 10+ hostels from all around the world. Honestly, I don't think I've had a dreadful experience yet. Here's what you're getting with Beds N' Drinks 1) Great Value. Have you SEEN HOTEL PRICES IN SOUTH BEACH!!? If you're traveling alone or you're not with a huge group, try getting a bed for the price you get at beds n drinks. 2) Big spacious dorm rooms. Each dorm had a common area with a sink, mirror, and lockers, a shower room, AND a toilet room..and of course the room with the beds in them. That's right. Each DORM gets all of that. Not too shabby. I loved that. 3) You get a free drink! Booya! Full-time bar in the main lobby with friendly bartenders Cons? 1) Common area is just average. I've seen some crazy fancy common areas with pool tables, pianos, books, games, etc. This one is simply a lobby with a bar. Perhaps the "common area" is the front porch area.... i know when i book a hostel I like to mingle with guests (and i still did don't get me wrong). I'm just saying don't expect a crazy fancy bonding room. That's the only con I can think of? I stayed here for 1 night and I would definitely stay here again. I met a few people in the short span I was there, got a good night sleep (although 3 bro's had cell phone alarms go off at night...come on man!), had a good shower, got a free beer.... good job Beds n Drinks.

Yelp
Solid hostel. The building and rooms are really new & renovated. I stayed with friends in a 6 bed room-- they're bunk beds with a bathroom in the room. The bathroom was very new and big. We were originally staying 3 nights but asked to cancel the last night & they obliged, so points for that. Also, even though you must check out at 11am, they hold your bags until 5pm, which is really nice. There's a nice patio in the back and also one in the front where you can chill & smoke. There's a bar in the lobby. They give each person a free drink coupon which is nice. The staff is competent enough & not completely unfriendly. The location is great, it's a block and a half from the beach. There's a liquor store two blocks away and it's in walking distance to the main Lincoln Ave strip of restaurants. Good place to stay for a few nights, definitely!

Rui D.

Yelp
Hi. I have a reservation from 13 to 16 August but I have to cancel because my dog was bitten. Booling.com was willing to cancel without a fee but they called your hostel and your hostel said I had to pay the room for 3 nights anyway! This is the most inhumane thing, as I have a really sad emergency and moreover you still have time to book the room for someone else.. if you font cancel for free I will post in Twitter Facebook insta TripAdvisor, everywhere, so everyone knows how your 'cool' hostel is actually just one more inhumane machine of making money

Yelp
Horrible staff, Do not stay here! They have disgusting attitudes. Each of them are unprofessional and they were trained such horrific behavior from the unpleasantly looking overweight supervisor. I'm speaking of the soulless self hating troll look a like that is the poor excuse of a manager. She denied me service because she was having a bad day I was not rude or using foul language. I understand she is having a bad day, as living with her face I'm sure most days are difficult. I never stayed, glad I didn't I smelled urine as soon as I walked in. I also overheard people complaining about door not locking. Huge safety hazard there.

Yelp
Tried to book a room the staff was very racist and unprofessional refused to book a room for me lots of attitude and no help was very disappointed will never recommend anyone to go there for anything I'm sure my experience would have been different if I was of a different race they need fired and sent back to whatever trash can they came from they ruined my day

Yelp
We cam with the a Groupon but just happened to be during happy hour.. let me just say Jennifer is amazing!! Super friendly and cool and recommended a great taco place that delivered while we had our drinks and hookah.. definitely a spot to stop at!!

Holly P.

Yelp
We walked into this place for morning coffee, we're staying next door at Crest Hotel, and was immediately greeted by Jennifer at the cutest bar. Heard they had great coffee. Jennifer made us special drinks, with a bubbly personality and smile on her face, asking us questions and very personable!! What a great spirit. The vibe in this place is so fun and positive, that just based on this experience in 30 minutes, we've decided to come back and stay here next time!! Such a great place!!! Wish we would've stayed here last night...

Yelp
We got here and reception and the bar was amazing! Everyone is really nice, I wake up super tired very hungry and they tell me i can only grab ONE yogurt. Their breakfast is joke, otherwise this is a great place to stay at.

Yelp
Roaches in the rooms & dishonest staff. Promised a partial refund from them by email and it was never issued to this day. There are better places to stay in Miami than this.
google avatar

Ruthee G.

Yelp
Besides my shitty roommate, the shower not having a shower door, and the bathroom sink being outside of the bathroom, everything was great. The beer was probably the most inexpensive in all of Miami. The two bartenders on duty were awesome. A lot of cute guys, lol.

Mallory D.

Yelp
This place was absolutely terrible. They walked in on us multiple time while changing without knocking or receiving an answer and continued to tell us the did not do such, but I promise I know because it was my bare breasts they could see. They locked us out of the room while all of our items were inside because it was "untidy", how did they know that the room was untidy if I had a do not disturb sign on to prevent them from continuously looking at my naked body. When I complained I was told I could leave, but having already payed I was obviously now leaving. I would never recommend this place. It is literally called "bed n drink" and I was charged for holding alcohol in my personal belongings. Such a rip off, and they will charge you for every little thing, you're better off finding a hotel for $100 a night, it will end up costing the same anyway.we were also told we could pay in cash, but upon arrival there was a sign saying no cash because of covid restrictions and we were charged 5% to use a card.

Yelp
Many of these reviews are misplaced. Yes maybe you'll encounter one person stressed out at the front desk or sand in your room. But this is a hostel and the best one I've stayed at. The people who work here are super nice and helpful, and they will help you if you are too drunk. They clean the rooms often and are upfront with their policy. This place is great, and you'll meet many nice and interesting guests from all around the world. The bar is so chill that people from others hostels come here and it's popping until early morning when everywhere else is quiet. Cheers beds n drinks!

Yelp
I'm giving it four stars because they're not doing any thing more than you'd expect for a hostel. This place wins on two counts: first it's extremely low cost for the eight bed room. I was charged $21 in tax per night, which would've been a grand deal 36 years ago. Inflation obviously hasn't caught up with these guys. The second count is that it's a noticeably clean environment and well ordered. I felt that if something was going horribly wrong, that the staff would attend to it. On the downside is the TV room that's extremely small for the number of people staying there. Only about five people could comfortably watch TV anywhere inside the room. There is no computer monitor at all for rent or for use. Small goes for the kitchenette too. Refrigerators were jammed beyond capacity with no chance of being cleaned out by anyone, and there's absolutely no chance of cooking anything for too long because of the sheer number of guests staying there. The complementary coffee they have is really awful slop. I just tossed it out and use the cup for other purposes. The complementary breakfast was an orange, extremely sugary yogurt, and the tiniest package of corn flakes. They give you a half pint of milk to wash down the flakes. The guests were genuine travelers who may have been all over the world combined with some retired folks and local slackers. It's a weird mix, but overall not too dangerous.

Yelp
I booked this Hostel because of the outstanding 9 stars in hostwlworld. This rating actually reflect the conditiins in the Hostel. It just opend a few month ago and everything is just fine. The location is very good, it is in the art deco district and the beach as well as the Lincoln rd is just around the corner. You're able to connect to other people quickly and they sell Drinks, which allows you to keep connection till late. The rooms provide enough space for 6 people, beds are comfy and the bathroom is just as new like anything else in the Hostel. The only drawback is that the breackfast is served just till 9am.

Yelp
Such nice people!!! Loved the girls I shared with. And the breakfast was just enough to get your day started. Cheap but still nice. Younger people spot

Yelp
The manager Josy is rude, incompetent and disrespectful. I witnessed her yell at guest. One day she was yelling at a guest so loudly and for so long in the courtyard that I heard it from the second floor room. I had three incidents with her. One my room had no air conditioner she proceeds to yell at us and demand we leave and go to another room. She yell this is my hotel. I asked her is she the owner and she said no she is the manager. Second incident I wanted to switch my towel she told me we only get a towel every four days!!! However, the employees let you switch one whenever you need. She rolled her eyes at me. The third incident I asked for ice she rolled her eyes at me but luckily another employee got it from me. I asked her is the a problem getting ice she looked at me and rolled her eyes. I asked for the owners information twice and she refused the give it to me. She said if she felt there was a problem she would email them. I said you are the problem and she said again if I think it a problem I will email them. Like she would email them about themselves.

Yelp
Beds n Drinks was my first hostel experience and overall I am satisfied with the experience. The bathrooms were clean, and the outdoor patio area was beautiful. The beds were comfy, no top sheet provided and just a fleece blanket. My first complaint is that there was a stain on my bed and the bed above mine. It was pretty clear that it was from a spilled soda and it was pretty unfortunate the hostel didn't take care of it. My second complaint was the overall unfriendliness of the staff, it doesn't take much to be nice or at least polite but they came off extremely stand-offish. A third complaint is that the drink prices on their menu do not match the prices they charge, I was charged 11.50 for a drink the menu said was 9.00. Other than these complaints I enjoyed the experience. It is a good option if you're on a budget.

Yelp
Great location with a pay n park spot right opposite, this hostel organizes their own version of the pub crawl which in my opinion is a better deal than the ones being peddled on the street and group on. If you were to sign on for the crawl it begins with an unlimited drinking session for an hour at the bar located at the hostel.you can club the drinks and newly met friends for a game of beer pong and also ping pong.. Great ambience , super friendly staff, serves complimentary breakfast and also provides with a common refrigerator.

Yelp
To those who will ever have enough courage to stay in this place - watch your belongings and especially your money. Watch very very VERY attentively. I dare to suppose that we had our money stolen in the luggage storage room which is accessible for staff only: there we left our backpacks on the day after check out for some hours before leaving. Otherwise it could be done in our room by staff (I`m strongly sure it was staff since we lived just our party in the room). Once we noticed we missed 400$ from the wallet (some days after check out) we online requested the hostel to check cameras in case they could record something, but the hostel denied all. Two of us missed 400$ in cash each; one guy had his backpack cut obviously in attempt to steal his money as well. Very frustrating and disappointing considering that this money was planned for our wedding.

Yelp
One block from Main Street, friendly environment, and bar in front entrance. Only con are the low quality/flimsy bunk beds.

Yelp
I stayed at this hostel a few weeks ago and wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy. The staff is lazy and rude, the rooms are dirty and stink, and worst of all, there were stains on my sheets that faded easily with plain water which means the sheets were not washed prior to my arrival. At that point I had no other option immediately available to me so I had to stay put for the night. And what a night it was! Couldnt get a wink of sleep thanks to the roaches I saw on the walls. Another thing I was not happy about were the other patrons in the hostel. Lets just say that the other patrons acted as if they belonged in a drity, roach infested hovel. My advice is to spend a little more money and stay in a quality establishment that you actually feel safe in.

Yelp
I recommended this hostel to family members who were coming into town from Spain. Based on the reviews, I thought it'd be a great place for college students looking to have a great experience while not breaking the bank. WHAT A HORRIBLE MISTAKE! After five minutes of being there, they immediately called me to say it was terrible. I thought maybe they were exaggerating, but when I went to check it out for myself, I couldn't believe this place hadn't been condemned! It was disgustingly dirty, completely unhygienic, and the smell of mildew still haunts me. I wouldn't recommend entering this hostel without a hazard suit!

Yelp
Their policy is very unclear and verbose, and their "peak dates" are all too often throughout the year, making the user confused and prey to their fees, a regular user is not going to read so much into the fine print, knowing the general hostel rules. Making the regular user prey to their profits, as no one will be reading so much further into a confusing, verbose, and altogether "unprofessional" fine print. This is kind of a scam, that I would think hostelworld could monitor better, and not let their customers be presented with unprofessional presentation of information and services. Their "peak" dates need to be way up at the top, as they comprise a net of time frames. This is to be expected from an unprofessional business. When I contacted them to cancel they didn't communicate anything in terms of charging. That is fraud. When a customer cancels a legitimate business needs to communicate the potential charges, which in turn affect a customer's decision to proceed or not. They have not said anything, and charged a couple of weeks later. I will be reluctant to purchase anything of this sort.
