Please don't stay at this guesthouse or book a tour through the owners. A very good friend of mine had a terrible experience during a jungle trekking booked through this homestay. She was the only one who signed up for the trekking and had to go alone into the jungle with a guide. Being a solo female traveller she already had her doubts about spending time alone with a male guide in the jungle, but the owner of the guesthouse repeatedly assured her that she had been working with this guide for a long time and she could completely trust him. After a long hike they got to the camp where they were gonna sleep, the guide started offering her very strong local rice wine, and pushed her to drink more when she said she didn't want anymore. She secretly throw the shots away instead of drinking, feeling very uncomfortable in this situation. Later at night the guide repeatedly groped her and even when she asked him to stop, he kept doing it. Luckily she didn't drink too much and was able to get him off her. What should have been one of the best moments of her life turned into a nightmare. The next day they came across another group in the jungle and my friend told one of the girls from that group what happened and offered to go back to the town with one of their guides. Once they got back at this homestay, where she booked the tour, there was no understanding for the situation at all. There was no compassion or apology from the owner and all she could think of was her money. I really hope people will read this review and will not book their stay or trekking at this guesthouse. This terrifying experience should have never happened and I hope that I can prevent it from happening again to other girls through this review. I have included photos of the owner of the guesthouse and the guide that went along into the jungle. Please don't trust these people and book your tour somewhere else.
