Bee Thai Kitchen

Came here more than four times and also made take-out order and I was only in town for 2 weeks and tried this place half way through my 2nd week LOL. THE BEST crab Rangoon ever, the way they make them as these little crispy treasure balls that are filled with sweetness and flavor that pops in your mouth is just such a gem. Ugh! I can’t get enough, I’m glad I don’t live here bc I would absolutely be tired of eating these the way I’d have them all the time. First time having curry and tried massaman curry and it was great, I would’ve liked the potatoes to be cooked more, it’s very much on the raw side, but otherwise all good. I’ve had the spicy basil with shrimp and that was good also, a little salty but very good. I’ll be frequenting this place until I leave Asheville. 👌🏾 Must go Thai spot in Asheville, run, don’t walk!!

I'm a relatively new patron of this charming lil' restaurant, having ordered take-out 3x so far. My only regret? That I didn't check it out sooner! =D I found their website super easy to navigate and their restaurant warm, cozy and welcoming. Order1 was Pad Thai w/shrimp - '"less spicy, extra shrimp" = absolutely delicious! FULL of flavor, shrimp cooked to perfection (in proper C-shape, nice crunch into shrimp sweetness!) and just enough of a lil' spicy kick for me. I will get at least 3 meals out of this bec the portions are generous and I don't usually eat a lot per meal. Order2 was same as above, plus spring rolls. This time my Pad Thai was way too hot for me; my palate got fried and tears streamed down my face. Yikes. =O (We all make mistakes.) Their spring rolls I found scrumptious, fresh, delicious as was the sauce for them. Order3 same as above EXCEPT this time, I ordered "not spicy" or "no spice". Man, over THE top DELICIOUS! All of it!!! My palate savored every moment of all those yummy flavors. I find their portions most generous, the food both filling and fresh and I could not be a bigger, new fan! I will be sure to try different dishes they offer but it will be hard to deviate! Bee Thai Kitchen rocks this dish and the spring rolls as well. Finally, the container the Pad Thai comes in for take-out is wonderful as well. It is sturdy, both microwavable and dishwasher safe so it's a keeper. ~Thanks Bee Thai Kitchen and thanks also for the welcoming and friendly staff!

I've been here a couple of times but the khao soi stands out. First time having it but it was delicious! Pad Thai lovers should give it a shot!

The food was very good and there was plenty! We shared Gyoza and a Crab Meat Fried Rice, the single entree of the fried rice was enough for two of us to get full and still have some leftover! Very good with adding some soy sauce on it too. There's a bar to get Utensils, to-go containers, soy sauce, water, red pepper flakes, etc. All you have to do is order and pay then sit down at a table.

Not bad for Thai in Asheville. Shrimp Taco was weird but not bad. Chicken dumpling was hearty. Spring roll was missing tofu or something, especially for the price. Drunken noodle wasn’t bad. Simple ordering at counter and seat yourself. Personally, I think if prices are over $15 for a plate, you should be served.

We stopped in for a late lunch on Wednesday and it wasn’t too busy. We were lucky to get a parking spot in front. We had the Pad Thai with chicken and yellow curry with chicken. Both were very good, and my wife says that the curry might be her new favorite. Our food was delivered quickly. The staff was pleasant and efficient. They have a good selection of draft beers as well as bottles and cans. There is a good amount of indoor seating,and there is a large outdoor seating area.

I love Bee Thai! I've seen some poo-pooing about the counter service, but I think that's a good move in such a small restaurant. It would be awkward if there were servers trying to weave through the tables! I've only ever ordered to-go, but the dining area is cute, and there are about 4 barstools as well. I also ALWAYS get the Pad Thai! One day I will try the Drunken Noodle, but what can I say -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The owner is super nice, and the staff are always friendly. It's rarely very loud, and they have a great drink selection, including Burial Surf Wax on tap! I also highly recommend the Thai Tea. Bonus points for paper straws!

I used to love this place, before it changed ownership. It has clearly gone downhill. I’ve dined in a couple of times since they reopened. Those experiences were fine. Not superb, but nothing to complain about. This review, however, is for a takeout order. I rarely write reviews, but my most recent order was abysmal. I regret not taking photos, but I was so appalled in the moment that it didn’t occur to me. Even so, I won’t do them the disservice of photographing day-old food. The order was to-go, which is likely part of the problem—although Thai food usually holds up well for takeout. I ordered green curry, spicy basil Thai stir fry, and a rice dish (can’t recall which one). The rice was more or less normal. Not exceptional, but not worth complaining about. The green curry had a grainy texture, and the liquid had separated. I understand some separation can happen as it cools, but this was greasy and oily. Unappetizing. Worst of all was the Thai basil stir fry. I ordered it with chicken, as I have many times before. The chicken is usually sliced or diced. This time it was granulated, with a texture closer to ground beef. Dining out isn’t cheap these days, but I don’t mind paying for good food. This felt like throwing money away. No one in my family could eat it. And with takeout, you can’t send it back—you’re stuck at home. There’s nothing more disappointing than getting home, excited for a meal, and having to throw it away. In this economy, it’s genuinely heartbreaking.

Yum yum yum. Ashevilles only Thai spot (worth going to) The orders we placed have come to the table wrong both times we dined there so I can't in good conscience say 5 stars. It's also a bit pricy for a counter order. But economy as it is, who's to argue. The inside is just a regular restaurant, Nothing special and nothing bad. It's cozy enough. I'll go back again for sure.

This is a great local spot that has a plethora of vegan options! I can't speak to the ambiance because I've only had takeout (several times) but I can say that the food is always great and the folks that work there are knowledgeable. My only note is that the tofu I've had has never been cooked. I really like tofu in my Thai dishes when it's even a little cooked, but this tofu has been pretty bland and overall raw. Still good though!

We truly enjoyed our overall experience at Bee Thai. My boyfriend and I both ordered the drunken noodles with chicken (lunch special) served with wonton soup. Everything came out steaming hot and fresh. You order at the register and the food was brought to our table. We also received complimentary bottles of water. Fairly priced at just $15 with sizable portions. A funky, festive vibe as well.

The lunch deal is great and all the food is amazing. This is a favorite spot on a visit to Asheville!

Awesome food! I had the pineapple fried rice and pad thai. Both were excellent! We took the food to go so no experience with the service. The food was some of the best I have had!

I've been to Bee Thai several times for lunch and the food is consistently delicious.

We chose this place because of its review. What a disappointment. Portions small and the food subpar. The Pad Prik was flavorless with overcooked vegetables in a watery sauce. The Cashew Nut dish was watery and overly swee. The spring rolls were likely from a package that I could buy in any grocery store. They came with a watered down sauce, as did the tiny crab Rangoon. They likely were a prepackaged item. Wasted my money a won't go back. This won't go down as a pleasant memory

Delicious food. I would definitely go back! Order your food at the counter when you arrive and they bring it to your table as it's ready. The people who brought out our food were very kind and helpful. There is a water station with silverware. We observed others helping themselves, and followed course. Lovely ambiance! It wasn't too busy and we were very happy with our delicious food! I got the massaman curry and my husband got green curry. Both are medium spicy, so if you prefer less spice-ask!

Best Thai food I've had in Asheville. I had the Khao Soi, best Thai food I've ever had in my life, and my wife got Panamg Curry, and it was excellent. I'll be back, for sure!

Wonderful Thai food prepared perfectly and fast for a working lunch. In and out in under an hour.

I was craving Tom yum soup so we stopped in. I like a less sweet soup, so this didn't hit the spot for me. However they were fast and friendly. We are outside and that was pleasant. It is an order at the counter type of place. It's really nice that they have deli style to go containers in the restaurant with the water and other utensils. It was also fairly good value for the price.

The vibe felt a lot like the previous Thai restaurant here, which was nice. Service was good and food came out relatively quickly. Alas, the food wasn't as good in our party's opinion. For just above-average (but solid) Thai food, we felt the price point was a bit high. Not sure we'd return, based on the value. Great spot, otherwise.

I was skeptical at first having been a regular at this location's previous Thai restaurant which served delicious and authentic Thai food. And I am happy to say that this restaurant's food did not disappoint. They have a pretty diverse menu so there is pretty much something for everyone. I had the Penang Curry and spring rolls which were both outstanding. I liked that they had little bowls of hot pepper sauce which you can add to your dish. The ambiance is pretty much the same as the previous restaurant and the service is excellent! There is still outside seating which was perfect for our dogs. We are very much looking forward to our next visit!!
