Beech Meadows Ski Shop

We have been using Beech Meadows for our rental needs on the mountain for over 10 years! They've made constant upgrades and improvements over the years in equipment and rental efficiency. The staff is always so welcoming, quick to answer questions about gear, getting lessons, the best places to eat or stay, & make sure we're 100% ready to hit the slopes! Who doesn't love doing business where you feel like family?! It makes our trip to Beech Mountain from Mississippi worth it and full of memories. Thanks, Beech Meadows Crew!

Our family had been repeat customers for a number of years and we loved them. However, after they moved to their new system and we were 15 minutes late to pick up our stuff (we had no idea of this new thing until we got there) and they gave it all away to other people... leaving us stranded for a major holiday weekend without rentals. The people at the time were Unapologetic about it or helpful about what to do (we don't know who they are as its been a couple years now and maybe they are gone... we left very upset and unhappy but another rental shop came to our rescue). Maybe its better, but we have moved to a different rental company on the mountain that we love working with.

Excellent service here! I own two rental Properties on beech and this is where I send my guests, as well as my kids! Friendly staff and even dog friendly! Great gear selection too! Easy parking! Easy in and out! Perfect location for Coming and going to beech!

Beech Meadows is my favorite ski shop on the mountain. Emma and Lucas are amazing and will help you out with it all! They also have demo skis at great prices, and occasionally some snowboards as well. Generally I tune my own equipment, but have had them tune it when I was not able. The shop took care of and tuned my board just as I would have/asked. All around a great shop to do business with!

If you are skiing, snowboarding or even sledding anywhere in the high country, this is a must stop shop! I’ve have multiple experiences here from renting Ski equipment, Buying goggles, Or renting sleds for my family or friends. They have a streamline and simple process that get you fitted for your gear quickly and onto the slopes. It’s conveniently located on top of Beech Mountain, which makes it easy to find. A bonus you can even walk to the Ski Beech resort from beach Meadows ski shop.

Wonderful family friendly shop. Big variety of items. Have served Beech Mountain for a long time. Almost anything you will need for your skiing needs.

My family and I just finished a Christmas week ski trip to Beech Mountain. Rather than renting our gear at the resort we called the really nice folks at Beech Meadows Ski Shop. Located just 1.2 miles from the slopes this shop is loaded with like new Head Skis and boots that fit me like basketball shoes. Literally, made several trips to the car while skiing and never had to take my boots off because they were so comfortable. The shop was full of courteous and helpful staff to fit our family of 5. The helmets we rented were new and we never once had any equipment issues while on the Mtn and paid 20% less than the cost to rent at the resort. In maybe the coldest week on record where things were closing all around us unpredictably Beech Meadows got us outfitted (we skied in -38 windchill!), warm, safe and went above and beyond in working with us through the various closures and rental days. Fantastic work!

I have been going to the ski shop for about two years to rent boots. Recently, I bought a new secondhand snowboard that unfortunately had holes drilled straight through it where the binding hole should be. Now I'm not a snowboard expert, so I didn't see an issue with this, but I decided to bring it into the shop just to get their opinion as I was already renting boots inside. They immediately told me that the board was not good and that it was not safe for me to ride. To say the least, they hooked me up. I've been going to this ski shop since I started snowboarding because it's the closest one to the mountain and is a lot cheaper than renting at the actual resort, but from now on I will continue going here because the customer service is phenomenal and everyone in there is so friendly.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and nice. I couldn't be happier with it. The prices were better here than at Beech Mt too

The staff was so so nice. We went in with 6 people needing rentals during the week of Christmas when they are super busy. They spent time with us and were so kind, helpful and accommodating. Their equipment was perfect and their prices were the best in the area. I highly recommend them.

Best ski shop around! I have been skiing for 19 years now, and this is always my first stop going to the mountain. The staff is friendly and the equipment is phenomenal. This season my skis had the tags just torn off and using brand new equipment. One of the cheapest prices on the mountain. I've bought clothing, ski gear, and rentals here, and I will definitely be coming back every year!

Super rude and unaccomodating. Very passive aggressive. I would rent your skis and buy supplies down where you live to get better rates, which is true abywhere you go.

Be extremely careful with the gear here! I don't think I've ever given a 1 star review in my life, but my experience here was truly dreadful. I rented out ski gear and found a box cutter blade in my boot. By the time I realized it was there, I had already been up and down the mountain a couple of times, while the blade burrowed its way through my ski sock and cut my toe. Fortunately, I was able to walk just fine, but God only knows what kind of infection I may have gotten as a result. I called the ski shop to give them a heads up that I needed to discuss this once I returned the gear. The shop manager was nice, but did say that he's only authorized to refund my rental fee and replace my cut-up bloody socks. Why the owner wasn't there to discuss, I will never understand. I was given her number and told she's the one I needed to speak to if I was still unsatisfied. I don't think $50 and a measly "yeah, sorry that happened to you" was good enough (maybe I'm too picky). I got on the phone with the owner and one of the first things she said to me was "how do we know you didn't put the blade in yourself?" We weren't able to resolve everything during that first phone call and after trying to contact them multiple times since then, it's been radio silence. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. Clearly they don't inspect their equipment closely enough before they sell it to you, don't take a chance if you can avoid them.

Loved the friendly, helpful service we received from everyone at Beech Meadows. We will absolutely rent from them every time we return to Beech Mountain.

I have rented skis from beech meadows for a couple of years. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. They are SO generous and SO accommodating. I wish everywhere in the country was as nice as they were. Thank you for making this part of our trip so easy!!! We will always be back =) if I could I would give 10 stars.

Amazing staff!!! Easy online reservation system for rentals where you can pick up the night before. Even during high volume times, the staff was incredibly friendly professional, and set us up with great gear.

Be very careful and inspect the equipment from this place. I rented Snow boarding gear from Beech Meadows and it fell apart after about two hours of use. When I complained about it the staff turned from country friendly to plain nasty. The manager told me there was nothing she could do and then turned around and walked away. It isn't about the money, but the complete lack of customer service and attention to equipment safety. The equipment from this place is downright dangerous. Stay Away!

I needed to grab a Beech Mountain sticker to add to my water bottle before we left. Ran in quickly, picked out a sticker and went to pay. Owner was so sweet and said it was on the house...really brightened my day!!! Will definitely rent my skis from here next time we visit!

Beech Meadows is the best ski shop in town! We came to town to ski over President's Day weekend and the rentals were all sold out at the resort! We headed to Beech Meadows and Emma was amazing! She and her husband (and beautiful pup!) manage the place and they have superb customer service with cheaper prices than on the slopes! Highly recommend to anyone that is planning on skiing at Beech Mountain.

I usually don't give 5 stars to ANY place, but these guys really are awesome. They helped me with directions and everything then the manager found out my husband was military and gave me a discount! I highly recommend them!

We went to Beech Mountain for my 50th birthday to ski and snowboard. This place had exactly what we wanted to rent when we wanted to rent it. They were friendly and accomodating. They also rent ski helmets at a reasonable price. In one instance, they went out of their way in accomodating us. Also, you can buy your ski pass from them at a discount, so the total cost of renting and skiing Beech is lower than anywhere. We will rent from them again.
