My boyfriend LOVES this place, but I had never been, so on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon, we decided to check out the brand new location. It is situated in an industrial park, but there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors both onsite and nearby with picnic tables and a gazebo. It definitely fits the casual, farm-meets-diner atmosphere, and as we come out of the pandemic and into a glorious Fall, it's always nice to have some good eats with al fresco seating options!
At lunchtime, the Barn was bustling! Even though we visited maybe on day three of their "grand re-opening", loyal fans of their iconic roast beef sandwiches packed this place to the gills. No worries, though! The cheerful and friendly servers kept the line moving, and we were in and out with our brown paper bag of goodness within ten minutes. Plus, it all cost less than twenty bucks for two full meals with drinks AND fries? I'm a fan.
That being said, the drinks did leave a little bit to be desired. I am a huge Diet Coke aficionado, and unfortunately, it fell flat.. literally. No bubbles, no nuthin'. Luckily, our server replaced the offending beverage free of charge with their tasty housemade lemonade. Stick to that or their signature grape fruit punch, and you should be good. As for the food, this is a place fit for a cheat meal - so enjoy it! Their roast beef is thinly sliced and super tender.. no fatty bits here! Served the old fashioned way on butter griddled buns, their signature sandwiches satisfy all of your comfort food needs. Make sure you make it a combo with their perfectly salty fries and simple house salad topped with homemade French dressing. So yummy!
So yes, an apology to the cows.. but Beef Barn gets my seal of approval!
