The heats been driving us out to dine and so since we haven't been here in at least a decade, stopped in on this Saturday lunch hour to order a burger and a beer. Everyone has different expectations on service, food and atmosphere. The cheeseburger at 8 ounces topped with fresh L, T, O, hot peppers was satisfying, cooked well but needed a bun substantial to the big burger. The bun fell apart in five different places and so, had to bite it in segments. It was not seasoned enough for my taste but I'd rather have it less salty than too salty. The fries were fresh cut and nice accompaniment.
Although the main bar interior looks like the inside of a cooper barrel, the cook and grill are situated over in widest end of bar, front and center.
I read reviews about new management and people commented the old owners used to serve better food but you have to consider new management equals new debt and something has to suffer, FOOD! It's a bar, so that side brings in a nice profit.
Oh, and to mention service, SUZANNE , was sure and steady.
Also, asked her to split the $$ tip between her and the cook. The cooks are hardest workers in eatery and receive least recognition. Good job.
