Coming from America I have a certain expectation for what a steakhouse should serve and that's not what The Beef Club is about. The Beef Club is different. It's like an "affordable" steakhouse. The cuts really aren't that expensive... Sure, it's more than your local brasserie's steak frites but by American standards it's bizarrely affordable.
But, you do get what you pay for. It's not like the steaks are corn fed, aged for 2 months, and cooked in 1200 degree ovens. They're just normal steaks, under-seasoned, cooked somewhere in the ballpark of how you requested it. (I requested medium rare, got medium well. Others requested medium and got rare.)
In addition, they don't do fancy things like remember who ordered what. So all the steaks come out and they're yelling "who ordered this? who ordered that?" meanwhile no one remembers which of the 5 kinds of beef they decided on and it's a huge mess. Then the sides came out and they just stuck them random places. I ordered mashed potatoes and vegetables, not sure where the vegetables ended up, I never got any.
If you want a lot of steak at a low price, The Beef Club may be for you. For me, I can absolutely cook a far better steak at home. I'd rather do something else for dinner.
