On the Grid : Beer Kitchen

"The name says it all. Beer Kitchen honors its namesake by offering up ice-cold brews & mouthwatering dishes. Their tap list is impressive, with everything from wild ales to Czech pilsners. It's a great atmosphere for lunch & dinner, but brunch at Beer Kitchen hits the spot– the drunken donuts paired with a tall mimosa (or three) will leave you buzzed & satisfied. The atmosphere is cheery & celebrates all things beer: bottle caps plug the walls & tap handles dangle from the lights strung below the ceiling. Prost, salut & cheers!" - Cat Coquillette

Our server was excellent and the food was great! The burger with burnt ends and a side of parmesan fries is definitely recommended. Also, if you want something a little less heavy but still delicious, get a salad with grilled chicken. The chicken that they add to the salads has a nice charcoal flavor. Fantastic beer selection!

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Their burgers are really tasty and so are their salads. You have to get the fries and try some of their sauces - so good! They have a very wide assortment of beers as well as a cocktail and non alcoholic menu. Beer Kitchen does a nice job of catering to gluten free diners. They have a whole gluten free food and beer/cider menu!

We were seated quickly, service was perfect! We were surprised to be seated quickly it was pride parade weekend and it was definitely lively and loud, not the normal atmosphere but we didn't mind. Enjoyed a few of our favorites. We brought our out of town family to enjoy the local fair.

The food was awesome! There were so many cool beer options. They had a good selection on tap, a good variety of cans and bottles, and even had some really cool imported options from overseas.

Popped in for a bite to eat and stayed for music bingo. Ordered chicken and waffle along with sweet potato fries. Both were delicious! Excellent service!

I’m a body builder and had this as my cheat meal. This was so unbelievably delicious I cannot fathom it. One of the best burgers of my entire life and their sauces for the fries are outstanding. Get the truffle fries too they are great.

Google
The corn queso dip was delicious. The salad was okay, I expected a little more, but still not bad. I’d probably get something else next time. My husband got the sliders and he said they were good. Great beer selection, I couldn’t decide! Great music and even better atmosphere. Very much a feeling of inclusivity, which we very much enjoyed. Our waitress (short green hair) was fantastic. Always came to the table with a smile and offered recommendations as well. If we’re ever in KC again, we’d love to stop by again!

After a long Friday night, waking up Saturday to find the beer kitchen serving brunch was an absolute delight. My waiter, Paul, was excellent. He had the best ghost pin up tattoo, and recommended a great place to visit for ink. He was attentive, and friendly. The breakfast casserole is mouthwatering and very good sized portion. The mimosa was perfect, and overall this place gets the praise it deserves. I will be returning here all the time for brunch.

Yelp
What do we do before a game if we're not tailgating? Well, you will always find us here at Beer Kitchen Best dinning experience in KC. It's like home on a plate. The service is always amazing and I will tell you, Angel is our go to waitress EVERY time! Great service, great drink menu, and the BEST food. Hard to beat for the price. It's a must visit before the game or just when you're visiting KC.

Yelp
The food is delicious here.... Waiting for the burnt mayo to come through, it was the best condiment in KC and would love to see it at Beer Kitchen now that Mickeys is closed. Staff are kind and prompt. The ambiance is amazing

Yelp
This was my first time at Beer Kitchen. My wife came here back in 2018 before we even lived in Kansas City. She had a chicken and waffles and said it was very good. Tonight, I had a work group meeting here. It was very nice. Joe was our server and he was amazing and handled our table of eight people easily. No one wanted for anything. I highly recommend grabbing Joe if you're there. He was kind enough to tell me about the sliders happy hour special 10 minutes before that deal expired. I got two sliders and they were so good. I got two more and the side salad and that was my dinner. I also had a delicious kombucha. I am excited to return here soon.

Yelp
Great beer selection. Service was prompt. Happy hour had some great deals. The chicken taco was amazing. It was like a spicy banh mi. My veggie burger was super tasty. Our server was very mindful of food restrictions.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and all the beers you could ask for. But also, you absolutely come for the burgers. So many options, all delicious and you can't go wrong! Also a huge fan of their Mac and cheese. Service was great and they can give you recommendations on which beers to try. Honestly all good vibes and no complaints and hope to make it back here soon

Yelp
Amazing experience at Beer Kitchen. Food, drinks and service (thanks Paul) were excellent!! Have been here before and this one of our favorite KC places. We will return again!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were looking for last minute dinner in Westport but we also had our 18 mo old with us so it was a bit tricky being that it's a lot of bars. We saw Beer Kitchen had a Steak Frites special so we decided to try it out. They did end up having high chairs and a kids menu! My husband and I both got the steak frites and it was very good. It was a chill night since it was a week night and the staff was very accommodating to us and sweet to my baby. Though maybe it's not a perfect place for a baby on say a weekend night, it ended up working for us and we got to enjoy a nice meal with a beer while our baby was happy with a grilled cheese! Will have to come back for a mom and dad date night.

Yelp
First visit so I went with a classic BK burger. Cooked as requested, seasoned well and assembled carefully so it wasn't lopsided. I like that it was a reasonable size that could finish in 1 meal. Fries on the side were good. I chose the roasted garlic sauce. Angel was a good server and checked in throughout. I would recommend!

Yelp
While in town, we had time before our flight to enjoy brunch at Beer Kitchen and had a fantastic experience. To secure a table, we made reservations for the first seating at 9am and were the first to arrive, snagging a cozy corner spot. The restaurant's decor is retro with a rustic charm. Our server, despite being in training, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and helpful. We kicked off brunch with a carafe of mimosas, perfectly balanced with just a splash of orange juice, and a Wake & Bake Mary, which my husband declared one of the best Bloody Marys he's had (second only to mine!). For starters, we enjoyed Baby Donuts with cereal milk anglaise and fresh raspberry jam--highly recommended. Our main dishes included the Crabacado Benny (5-stars), the Bacon Cheddar Omelette (a bit too salty), and the Brioche French Toast. Beer Kitchen is situated in the vibrant, up-and-coming Westport neighborhood. We're eager to return and try out lunch or dinner next time we're in Kansas City.

Yelp
We stopped in here for Happy Hour and we were indeed happy with our decision! The place is clean and has a cool vibe. We sat at the bar and our bartender was friendly. They have a nice selection of apps and drinks for $4-$6. We chose to try a couple of their tacos, my husband had an IPA and I had a peach hard cider. The Thai chicken tacos was great, but the green chile carnitas was spectacular. We will absolutely be hitting up Beer Kitchen for happy hour again soon!

Yelp
Everything we ordered was AMAZING! The service was great! We ordered the chicken and waffles, Nashville chicken sandwich, a burger, and build-your-own mac n cheese. All were AMAZING. The "regular" fries were on the salty side, and the sweet potato fries were a little soggy. Still delicious, but that's the only negative we saw. 10/10 Will return!

Yelp
Beer Kictchen has evolved over its course of residence in the ever changing Westport landscape. For as long as I can remember, Beer Kitchen has remained a staple for hipsters as well as home-towners alike, making it a unique local destination for good grub. It used to market itself as a gastro-pub, but that's far too pretentious for what Beer Kitchen is, which consists of a casual bar restaurant that has a kick butt beer selection (though a tad overpriced) and even better food. When reviewing Beer Kitchen, I'm taking into account my countless visits. However, I must dwell for a moment on restaurant week. This year, I felt as though they could have done better with the timing and accommodations because I was visiting on a Saturday at 11:30am and was told only the brunch menu was being offered even though the dishes on the lunch menu were regular dishes on the everyday menu. So, I went with the burger I originally wanted, one I had tried many times before but I couldn't order it as the restaurant week special, which was a bummer. This time around, only one person out of four in our party went with the $20 restaurant week brunch special... which is quite sad. Their pick was the mini doughnuts, which we all shared, and they were quite delicious. But, my meal was from the traditional menu and is a tried a true, the Smokestack Burger. All in all, I do highly regard Beer Kitchen as one of the better restaurants that has lasted in Westport however, I will not be going during restaurant week again because I didn't think the menu was that creative or a good value.

Yelp
Visited my family for a wedding in Kansas City and this was one of the most recommended places and it delivered! You can build your own Mac & cheese and of course in true KC bbq style I ordered it with burnt ends. The drinks were lovely as well.

Yelp
Lobster roll with truffle parmesan is amazing but a bit expensive. Large variety of beers. Service is friendly. Atmosphere is great!

Yelp
We stopped into Beer Kitchen and decided to stay for a meal. We started with some fresh on tap beer. I really enjoyed the cream ale. For appetizers we ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts and the spicy papas....amazing, the papa are not too spicy and great flavor. I ordered the BK Burger, medium and it was cooked to perfection. The flavor is amazing, so far this is my favorite place for a burger and a beer. The service is great, Craig I'm assuming the manager checked on our table along with our waitress. The atmosphere is great! Nice room between tables and clean! I normally say I highly recommend, however I'm saying this is a " must do."

Yelp
The burgers was so good and very delicious. Other food were excellent with nice options. This place was highly recommend and the menu was great. Everything was well-cooked and super amazing food. I love the Chicken and waffles, good texture and pleasant flavor. The restaurant was really cool and you cant get a reservation too. The staff was friendly. A bit pricey but reasonable.

Yelp
Food. Delicious. Drink specials. Perfect. Atmosphere. Chill. I ordered the nachos and they were so flavorful. Burnt tip, red peppers, melted cheese, avocado, creme, and pork beans! A flavor burst. And the service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
First time here and already planning to come back for lunch next week...and then brunch after. Tiffany was amazing, definitely asking for her again! We started with a French onion soup that could have been a bucket and I would have devoured it. My bf has the everything melt - it was delicious and perfectly cooked. I had the turkey turkey sandwich with pork bacon and it loved it. I have a low tolerance for spicy so I was sweating but I finished it. We split jumbo fries that were so good. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Oh boy, let me tell you about the Beer Kitchen restaurant and bar. This place is the bee's knees, the cat's meow, and the dog's bark all rolled into one! First off, the beer selection is out of this world. They have more types of beer than you can shake a stick at. I mean, I didn't even know there were that many kinds of beer in existence. And they have them all here! From IPAs to stouts to lagers, they have something for everyone. It's like a beer lover's paradise. But the best part? The food. Oh my goodness, the food. It's like they took all of my favorite things and put them on a plate. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the fries are crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the wings are so good they'll make you want to slap your mama (but don't actually do that, it's not nice). And let's not forget about the atmosphere. The Beer Kitchen has a cozy, laid-back vibe that makes you feel right at home. It's the perfect place to unwind after a long day, catch up with friends, or just hang out and enjoy some great food and drinks. Overall, I would give the Beer Kitchen restaurant and bar two enthusiastic thumbs up. If you're a beer lover, a foodie, or just someone who likes to have a good time, this place is a must-visit. So what are you waiting for? Get yourself down to the Beer Kitchen and let the good times roll!

Yelp
The first thing I noticed about this place was the cool atmosphere. The restaurant is in a cool location and had great options for food and drinks. We sat at the bar and checked out the drinks which had a wide selection. Our bartender even gave us some beer samples so we could decide what we wanted. She also recommended a couple different menu items, but honestly everything sounded good. I ended up going with the Brickhouse Burger which was incredible. The combination of the bacon, cheese, red onion jam, and pub chips was something I hadn't experienced before but will for sure be ordering again. My brother got the Smokestack Burger which he also absolutely loved. Both burgers were cooked to perfection and came out very quick. We also tried the Belgian style fries and truffle Parmesan fries which had great taste and came in a good portion size. Overall I found this to be a great local spot and I'll definitely be back!!

Yelp
Stopped in with a group while in town for work. The server was on it - quick and helpful.. he never left us waiting when we needed something. We started with the Pub Chips and Brussels Sprouts. Both were really good - loved the fries and it came with a variety of choices for dipping sauces (garlic was my favorite) and some great ketchup options on the table. Burgers are my thing so of of course I had to get one...BK Classic with extra cheese. It was a solid burger - nothing extra special but was overall hit the spot for a classic burger. Great bun and cooked a perfect medium-rare. I'd definitely get one again. The folks I was with all enjoyed their meals - a variety of mac and cheese, pastrami sandwich, possible burger and something I can't quite remember. A couple did mention their disappointment that their favorite dishes had been removed from the menu. All in all - a great option if you're in the Westport area. I wish they had some basic drafts because I'm not a fancy beer person but at least there were tall boy options.

Yelp
Came here because we tried and loved beef on weck while traveling in Western New York, so was excited to see a place in KC put it on their menu. I came here with my wife and 1 year old daughter, and getting a table was a little bit of an ordeal- the hostess put us in a booth without asking what would work best and having lots of tables that would work with high chairs available. We didn't notice until we sat down that the booth tables were too high to work with a high chair. It then took quite a while to get our server's attention to ask if we could possibly switch tables to one that worked better for a high chair. But once we were able to do that, the rest of our dining experience was smooth sailing. The mini beef on weck sliders were good but not great. I didn't expect something comparable to western NY so I was fine with this and enjoyed the au jus for dipping particularly. But in the future, more seasoning on the rolls, rarer beef, and some horseradish sauce and this could be a top tier beef on weck. We came at happy hour and the $5 beer that would normally be $8 and the $5 fries that would normally be $8 as well were both great- I enjoyed the Westport wheat beer I had. Will definitely come back for happy hour again sometime!

Yelp
Great place to go with a group. Excellent service. I had the salmon bowl. It had salmon, rice and vegetables. Very tasty. I had hot tea after my meal and the tea service was excellent with a nice tray that had a tea cup with a small pot of hot water. The server brought over a box with various teas to choose from. I chose an organic black currant tea that was a perfect end to a great meal.

Yelp
Preface this, I've had some great meals here. Tonight ruined it, but I am willing to try again. Drunk / high bartender really ruined it. Menus disappeared when I went to bathroom..no big deal...request menus. They arrive. Sweet! She spilled my water trying to refill it. Observe a lot of other coordination issues consistent with someone very altered. It's apparent to other patrons she's altered. I waited 30-40 minutes for tacos based on Google Maps' arrival time compared to an hour when I ask if she could find out about how long for my tacos. She says, "whenever" in a very dismissive tone. Doesn't offer to pretend to check with kitchen. I acknowledge I went to the bathroom and had a pony pour before ordering food. She then attempts to bring me mini corn dogs, wandering around the bar confused. Me..those aren't my tacos. Her - what? tacos? Oh... carnitas tacos? Me - no, chicken tacos. She goes and messes with POS system. (I suspect she forgot to ring them in) I get my food. The part I ate was excellent. I go to the bathroom to pee (about 2 minutes or less). I return, and she threw away my food. Me...wtf? I go pee, and someone threw away my food. Patrons tell me the bartender is very intoxicated. Her...what's the issue? I was trying to clean up... Me...um you threw away my food. You're clearly altered. I need a manager. Explain this to the manager. The manager offers to comp food. I'm thinking it over but really wanted a sincere apology and owning bartender being altered. The manager initially says they will only comp food they threw away. I had 2-3 pony pours of craft beer. It was not a big expense, but I was lacking a sincere apology, I felt full comp warranted. Bartender comes back with an attitude, are you paying? Me - haven't decided yet. Wait a while debating leaving a review and trying to calm down. I never raised my voice and chose words to be as factual and calm as possible. Manager comes back and says I offered to comp your food. Me - I'm really livid over the unprofessional behavior...I'm trying to calm down. The manager says, "I will notate that" for my complaints. I'm sitting there trying to calm down, Bartender comes up, did you get it figured out? Me - Not yet. I'm still sitting there trying to calm down. Bartender comes up asking what's wrong. I recount the evening. The manager comes up and says you're upsetting my bartender. Do you still need to be here? Well I was waiting to see how you would handle this. Comped? I've never left a tab unpaid, but this was a very unprofessional service experience. Bartender - do you have any service work experience? Heh Manager -We would like you to leave.. This has never been asked of me at any establishment. I was going to hold off on the review after a sincere apology Ok. I'm glad to know management is cool with drunk/high bartender and backs them even when other patrons clearly also came to the same conclusion she's extremely inebriated.

Yelp
Maaaan, I love this place. It's a perfect balance of great food, great drinks, great atmosphere and great service. The drinks can be kind of pricey, but the food was amazing. I got a burger and it was heaven. One of the best I've ever had. Our luck with KC restaurants has been hit and miss, but this one is a keeper.

Yelp
Great gourmet style burgers and plenty of drink options. Service was friendly and the server gave great suggestions. They had amazing fries here too but the spicy papas were even better.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
Delicious food, great beers (according to hubs) pretzel twists app, mac n cheese, parmesan truffle fries, everything melt. It was all fantastic. Not too crazy busy on a friday night either! Location is great, lots of walkable places around.

Yelp
Loved getting to come try this out during restaurant week - but also a chiefs game. As the evening went on - the atmosphere was fantastic. Service was great starting off - however started failing terribly near the last 30-45 minutes. We tried the spicy papas - crispy potatoes that were delicious and just the right amount of kick to them. I got the burnt end burger - and honestly - the burger patty was a little too thick for me but it was a good burger with the perfect amount of toppings and sauce. Hubby got the chicken sandwich and the chicken was tough and over cooked and way too much mayo on it. The bread pudding definitely stole the show - as it was amazing!!!!! Glad we stopped in and were able to try this out.

Yelp
One of my favorite stops in Kansas City and my overall top spot in Westport. A great atmosphere and energy with excellent decoration and lighting sets the mood and helps to creat a cozy but not too tight bar and restaurant area for people to sit, drink, and break bread. Service is never bad and all the people I've interacted with there have been incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Food top to bottom is great and if you're ever hot in the summer then getting one of their Radlers off the menu is a must.

Yelp
Last week I tried Beer Kitchen for the first time and I'm now a fan for several reasons. It was Saturday night and Happy Hour was until 6, which honestly is practically unheard of, so that's cool (as of now, happy hour is everyday from 3-6). There are also a lot of veggie options - I tried the hummus plate, which was delicious, but I was also scoping out the butternut squash tacos, a veggie burger, the kale crunch salad, and some other items. I mean, what a delightful little surprise, when you hear "Beer Kitchen" you don't think you're going to be able to order 'Cashew Hummus' topped with green chickpeas and served with za'atar sesame naan and harissa. But on top of all that, great service and ambiance... Excited to return and try something new.

Yelp
Beer Kitchen is presently one of only three full restaurants in the central Westport area. For some reason, there is a lot of turnover of restaurants in this area. I'm glad that Beer Kitchen has been able to remain a staple in this area. Beer Kitchen definitely gives off family vibes, which was a little surprising. We were there in the evening and there were multiple groups with kids. We sat at the bar and had a lovely, attentive bartender. We managed to get there right before 6pm, allowing us to take advantage of the happy hour menu, which includes both drinks and food. This was a huge cost savings, because the food menu is sort of expensive, and we each spent probably $10 less than we would've otherwise. I walked out of there having 1.5 appetizers and 1 drink for under $20. The hummus was excellent, served with an additional spicy sauce for a kick, and ample pita and vegetables. The fries came with our choice of 2 fancier dips of our choice. My favorite was the 2 cheeseburger sliders. The buns on them were soft and delicious. The location is great for dinner if you're looking to spend some time in Westport in the evening. Many bars and entertainment options are within walking distance.

Yelp
Was in KC for an overnight on our way south. Found Beer Kitchen on Yelp. Had the Monday night special; Muscles Monday and fries. Amazing and reasonably priced. Maybe the best muscles I've ever eaten including places on the coasts.

Yelp
I visited Beer Kitchen with a friend who recommended I try it and I had a great time and enjoyed my food. I went with the Smokestack burger which I liked overall but found it had a wang to it that caught me a bit off-guard. The highlight of the meal was the fry sauce though, the bacon sauce in particular! While we were eating they started playing musical bingo and it was really fun! We came in for a quick bite and ended up staying for the entirety of bingo. We added some bread pudding to the meal and it was well worth it! The service was fine, I wish the check got to me a little quicker but I wasn't in a hurry. Overall I'd go again

Yelp
My lower life form and I were in town for the esports national high school championship. My champion had asked for waffles the day before, so I took my child to Denver Biscuit Company, also reviewed, which does not have waffles but does have waffle fries. Using Yelp, I find Beer Kitchen, which does have waffles. Beer Kitchen was a pleasant spring day walk from our beautiful Kansas City hotel. There appears to be parking, but it wasn't a concern as I took in the gorgeous Kansas City landscape. There were a few other patrons in Beer Kitchen when my winner and I walked in. We were allowed to sit where we wished and see a charming window with a clever and well-placed glass bottle sculpture. Beer Kitchen's menu is clear, and their tables are clean. Our waiter was polite in a very genuine way, as we experienced all Kansas City restaurants to be... ...Beer Kitchen only raised that bar of passion, product, presentation, and above all... ...the aspect of food that transcends all else: humanity. At Beer Kitchen, you are part of history. The food arrived hot, the aroma... ...our eyes feasted first. My Street Fighter ordered a strawberry waffle which they loved. Order the Chicken and Waffles, the only authentic post-colonialism American dish. The Belgium waffle searches to sponge flavor from the animal's butter or the tree's syrup... ...and the flesh of a bird, battered, deep-fried. ...the blood, the sacrifice. Alone, either is good... but together, incredible. I first cut my super smash brother a bite, who usually isn't very quickly impressed. By now, we had become spoiled... expecting this excellence, and Beer Kitchen delivered. Soon I learned what was worth ranting and raving over. Just days before this experience, I had lied to my girlfriend and told her she made the best chicken I ever had. Truth is... ...My friend Devron's grandma, made the best chicken. My girlfriend and that old lady would likely not read this review. Let me fully disclose that the chicken Beer Kitchen served me was hands down the best chicken I ever had. My girlfriend and that grandma are a distant second. Once I tasted it, I regretted sharing it with my son. Yes, that good. Give them awards! Beer Kitchen is a national treasure. You get the picture. The price was agreeable. I felt like my family, and I had gotten the Beer Kitchen family discount. I am deeply grateful for the experience provided to make breakfast a two-player game. Thank you, owner(s), management, and staff, for the best Kansas City offers... ...becoming a cooperative would make you something to aspire to. Until then, you will continue inspiring 5-star reviews. With the best love, -Rojo Bb X

Yelp
Super tasty! I was thrilled with my butternut squash tacos and the beer list was extensive and well rounded. I had a stout that tasted like dessert and the butternut had the perfect texture and spice level. I'd definitely come back for happy hour to try more appetizers!

Yelp
The food is great here! Great place for a burger! I ordered the brickhouse burger and fries. They make their own ketchup, which I enjoyed. The portion sizes are reasonable and the service was quick! We made reservations to make sure we got a seat. It was t crowded that day, but I would recommend you make a reservation if you have more than four people.

Yelp
service was great. ambiance was exactly what I was looking for. the smokestack burger was the best burger i've ever had. first time in KC but this has to be top of the list when I come back.

Yelp
I went here because it was close to Uptown Theater and I was going to a concert there. I'm so glad I did. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had! I had to dissect it when I was halfway done because it's a Lotta burger! Make sure you're hungry if you get one of these. I was starving. Great atmosphere. I loved all the beer taps hanging from the ceiling. I'll definitely come here again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Brunch is a must! I love the chicken and waffles. The best I've had in KC. French toast is solid and comes with 2 tasty pieces of bacon. Not a big fan of the bourbon syrup it comes with but they do have regular syrup. Brunch potatoes are seasoned and taste the best with their chipotle ketchup! Great service and walked right in at 10:30am on a Sunday. Prices are great around $15 a plate.

Yelp
It's in the name, but the beer selection here is great - I especially enjoyed the Stone Buenaveza salt & lime, and stem pear apple cider. Plus, the food here has never disappointed. You've gotta try the pretzel twists, fries, or any of the burgers. Service has been equally as great each visit. The bar itself, has always appeared well-kept and clean. A casual, laidback spot for a beer and tasty lunch.

Yelp
Beer kitchen is my go-to when friends come into town. Great food, great bustling ambiance, and service never lets me down. Try the lobster roll!

Yelp
The food was tasty. The pickles were good paired on the Nashville Chicken. Service was quick. The inside dimmed the lights as it turned night, which was odd but didn't feel uncomfortably dark. There are a few tvs. All showing something different, kinda surprising since the draft was happening in their city and it was only playing on one of the tvs.

Yelp
I just moved here and was craving sweet potato fries from my favorite restaurant out of state. I looked up the best in KC - it brought me to Beer Kitchen! I got the smoked chipotle, smoked bacon, and sweet Thai chili sauces. They were all sooo good! I also got the Hogtied sandwich which was awesome and a fun mix of different foods! The restaurant was so nice inside. A great spot to hit if you are in Westport!

Yelp
Delicious, casual place to go to for some alcohol and food! We got some of the burnt end fried and some drinks during happy hour. The fries were to die for, and my sangria was refreshing and tasty. I would love to come back to try their burgers sometime!

Yelp
Beer Kitchen is my favorite brunch in Westport so far!! I love living within walking distance of this place! PARKING: parking is always a challenge in Westport if you're trying to go during peak hours for brunch or weekend dinner. Beer Kitchen is really close to the little lot off of Pennsylvania, but if it's busy, you'll have to hope for street parking or head to the Westport parking garage or surrounding lots. FOOD: - the baby donuts are a must! Get this sweet treat to share with the table while you wait for the rest of your food! - the deviled egg toast is also really tasty - we loved the everything bagel toast and the pickles! - the savory Dutch babies were really popular throughout the restaurant, and I really enjoyed the applewood bacon one that I ordered! - my sister got the potato chip omelet, and it was definitely French onion soup omelet vibes! VIBES: Fun and casual! Lots of beers on draft. Super fun places to hang out and grab a drink or brunch!

Yelp
Waitress was awesome, very friendly, helpful and prompt! Food was good too! Cajun Bloody Mary had a kick but not crazy spicy!

Yelp
I am honestly a little mad at myself for not reviewing Beer Kitchen sooner. This place has been around for probably well over a decade, and I have been eating (and ordering from) here since it opened. It has been consistently good the entire time! The donuts have been on the menu forever (so nice to have other fried donuts options at night, aside from Chinese restaurants), and my favorite thing right now are the crispy chicken thighs - SO good. Their comeback sauce tastes like remoulade to me, but I love it! It reminds me of eating tons of spicy fried crawfish in Houston. Never once had a less than great experience eating in, or ordering from here.

Yelp
Well the Beer Kitchen is hereby awarded my favorite dinner stop in 2022. Why? Unlike many craft brew gastropubs, BK has imagination on their menu. Interesting apps like the Deviled Egg on seasoned toast and delicious burgers which challenge your decision making abilities. I had the aforementioned app along with the Smokehouse Burger and Belgian fries. All of these paired well with the KC Hefeweizen beer. Thanks for putting as much love into the food as you do to the beer.
