I think most people are attracted to the ambience of this place - really nice decor and setup. Plus, there's room for large groups. The service is fairly good here and the food comes timely. We had a group of 7 (mostly guys) and they sat us down at one of the semicircle booths, which we discovered comfortably fit 5, so we just moved to the tables. You'd think that they'd know it doesn't fit more than 6 people (maybe all girls?)
So we moved to a different table, and 3 of the plates were noticebly dirty (could see ketchup stains on them). No big, asked for new plates.
They obviously have a huge variety of drinks and beer selection. In terms of cocktails/lighter drinks, I've had their light paddle in the past, which was pretty good. The somer daiquiri I had last night was pretty good as well.
They have an interesting menu, with poutine, burgers, schnitzel, big salads, tacos, etc. I've had the pork belly poutine on one occasion and thought it was very good. They also have a spinach & avocado dip appetizer that was decent, although the dip was too thick to my liking (hard to scoop with flimsy nachos). They used old lettuce in my pork belly tacos last night, though. I took a giant bite into my taco and I started tasting something very bitter. I thought it was the cilantro, so I removed it. Turned out it was the lettuce. Yeah, gross. The pork belly itself wasn't that great either. I've had their fish tacos in the best which were much better (and didn't have old lettuce).
Was disappointed by that part of the experience, but overall, I tend to have a good time here.
