I stayed here while participating in a conference nearby. It seems like a very old-school, even quaint hotel, but that is really a plus with a great vibe and wonderful atmosphere. Like the whole town, the Begijnjof is very relaxed and peaceful, and the rooms are very pleasant with a modern decor. Very clean and quiet. The staff were so friendly, and the garden in the back is a delight.

We stayed at the Begijnhof Hotel in Leuven for about two weeks, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere calm and welcoming. The best part was the peaceful setting, offering quiet and relaxation just steps away from the bustle of town. A perfect balance, we’d happily stay again.

We had a very nice stay. The hotel was clean and well cared for. The breakfast offered a good variety. The hotel is in a very nice location with a beautiful garden right on the edge of downtown. The only weird thing is the shower offered very little privacy if you are in a double room for couples. The curtain sink area where the shower is can only be partly closed.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Begijnhof Hotel in Leuven. It's a Scandinavian-inspired hotel in a beautiful Flemish setting. It has a lovely garden with contemporary and traditional sculptures, with a background of old Flemish architecture. The staff are super friendly and super helpful too.

I believe the hotel is overpriced for the services provided. The location is not central (for the size of Leuven).|The bathroom is inside the room, which might lead to smell of sewage.|No drinking water available. Only little bottles from the minibar for 3 eur each. |No slippers provided. No restaurant service available in the evening. Only crisp, again for 3 eur per bag. |The only nice thing was the breakfast, which is rich with nice products. The veggys were really tasty. Coffee is terribile though. I could hardly finish my cup. I would reccomend changing the brand.

This is an outstanding hotel! The quality of the room was exceptional and provided for maximum comfort. The facility itself; breakfast room, surrounding grounds, etc. has great historical charm and is very accommodating. The staff were also very efficient and helpful when needed.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, and the room was very clean – no complaints there. However, my experience with the receptionist completely ruined my stay, and I will never return.|I’m a smoker and signed the smoker policy upon arrival. I asked where I could smoke, and the receptionist told me not in front of the hotel, which was fine. The next morning, I made a coffee to go in my room and went outside to smoke. Since there were no trash cans nearby, I didn’t want to litter, so I put the cigarette butts in my coffee cup and threw it in my room’s trash can.|Later that evening, I went to reception to check out early because I had to leave early the next day. When I gave my room number, the receptionist raised her voice and accused me of smoking in the room. I explained several times that I smoked outside and only disposed of the butts in my room’s trash because there were no bins outside. She showed me the “evidence” – the cup with the cigarette butts – and still insisted. I reminded her that I’m a customer and she should listen before pointing fingers. She eventually apologized, but the damage was done.|She then insisted on checking the room with me. Of course, it didn’t smell of smoke. Plus, the room has a smoke detector – if I had smoked inside, the alarm would have gone off. She also asked why I hadn’t stopped by reception earlier because there was a letter in my room (I’ll attach a photo of it). I told her I’d been in meetings all day. Honestly, I don’t know why that was necessary.|Overall, the hotel itself is fine, but the attitude and behavior of the receptionist were unacceptable. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. Never staying here again.|The letter itself is perfectly fine and a decent and civilised discussion would have been highly appreciated, instead of just raising her voice at a customer without even hearing the customer's story.

A smaller hotel with a nice atmosphere. Very friendly and service minded staff. The room was of the smaller size. In my case the price was a bit too high, but I booked late.
