The service provided at this hostel was a high standard. The room was clean and well tended. You are given clean bedding and towels on arrival and the towels can be changed for fresh as often as you choose. I stayed in a private loft room. One negative I would say is the bed is high up, as is the hot air and the AC is directly below the bed so the air never circulated to the sleeping area so it was always quite warm. ||The staff were reluctantly helpful to give directions and advice. ||I booked a tour of the wall through the hostel and come the morning of my trip I waited for a driver that never showed up. This was my last day in Beijing so it meant I couldn't go and see the wall, one of my main reasons for going to Beijing. This did ruin my trip for me, but the hostel were determined to compensate me in some way and were very apologetic. One thing I would say is, don't use them for tours as the company they use is clearly incompetent. ||If you are allergic to cats, this hostel also isn't for you. There are cats living in the lobby. They are well cared for and mostly locked in large cages but my bedding did have a small wiff of cat so if you're allergic, this might be promblematic for you. ||The location is fantastic, it's very near metro lines 2 and 8 and you're in a good location to just wander around and check out some good bars and restaurants.

1) Budget traveler in great location.||2) Location is near Guloudajie metro station on Line 2 or 8, if you go from airport, take metro to dongzimen, then take metro line 2 or 8, get off at Guloudajie station, go to exit gate G, turn left about 200m. ||3) Right by all the great hutongs (南锣鼓巷) , delicious restaurants, cafés, and eating options (including an excellent chinese restaurant right next door 馅老满饺子餐厅), McDonalds is about 50 meters away (limited seat), 24 hour convenient store, supermarket nearby||4) No lifts, so u will have to carry ur luggage; not convenient when u have heavy luggage;||5) The receptionists doesn't have a friendly attitude, at least recepcionists must have some good manners to welcome, probably they need some training; ||6) I don't think the staff speaks much English though. There was one guy who I was able to communicate with easily. The girls there seem to have very limited English;||4) Wifi was poor; but good in the common cafe area attached with the hostel; ||5) The daily room service/cleaning was not properly tidy up and clean the toilet (toilet tile still dusty);||7) The Bed (double room) was a little bit hard.

· It was bright, white, clean and modern. It had a hotel look and feel. Rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Location good. Close to metro. Good craft beer place about 50m down the road.|| · Staff not that friendly, little English. There was one girl we came across who was friendly. Laundry service was price per machine load at 50 RMB!!!!! The most expensive I’ve experienced in China. The most we have paid before was 8 RMB.

We stayed in a private double room at this hostel for 3 nights in September. The room itself was huge, good bathroom facilities, decent air con, bottled water provided by the hostel which was a nice touch. Main bonus is the location - a few mins walk from Guloudajie metro station, which is so convenient for exploring the city. Lots of little shops and a couple of restaurants nearby - can definitely recommend the one next door to the hostel!||Drawbacks? Limited road noise (we were 4th floor) but we did have to ask some fellow residents to be quiet in the corridor outside (not the hostels fault). Breakfast was good, but is only served from 8am, and when we arrived for breakfast at 8.10am, the cleaners woke the chef up who had been sleeping on the sofa in the bar! No lift (a good workout if you have lots of luggage) and we weren't able to check in early, despite the hostel not seeming too busy.||All in all - a good value, clean, no frills, well located hostel from which to explore Beijing

Stayed there for three nights (traveling alone). Book room for single person with shower. |Rooms is ok: just enough space for one person to sleep (i am 187 cm). |Location is just amazing: 2 minutes working to the nearest metro station, lots of place to eat and drink around and if you would like to walk a little - amazing hutong with local food. |Staff is very helpful even their english is limited (google translate will always help you). They also allowed me to store my luggage when i arrived at 7am|What i dont like: There is no window in this room (fair enough for this price) but it means u will always need to use A/C - which will blow cold air just in you for the whole night :(|Also they took 10 RMB just to call a taxi for me. Its not big money but still .. just to call a normal city taxi they charging you :(

Pros:||- Hot water showers||- Quiet||- Staff was willing to communicate via Google Translate and answer questions||- Super close to Metro Station (location was great)||- Safe||- Fairly clean (bathroom could get some extra loving)||- Hot water maker||- Reliable AC||- Internet available||- No smoking ||||Cons ||- I chose to stay in a hostel because you get a different experience, but this felt more like a hotel experience than a hostel experience. Examples:|| - No kitchen to use || - Laundry was super expensive|| - Staff didn't speak much English so getting local knowledge was hard (usually this is the biggest perk to staying in a hostel)||- No elevator - which generally isn't a big deal to me, but it got tiresome ||-Directions weren't clear. I ended up having to get a Chinese person to call and translate for me.

This place is really nice and cheap. It's near to downtown, so if you want to get to Tiananmen square it will take about 30-40 minutes. There is also metro station near it.||Very comfortable rooms, nice staff, wi-fi is also normal.
