The Ming City Wall Ruins Park offers a quiet escape from the bustle of central Beijing and a rare chance to see one of the last surviving sections of the city’s ancient fortifications. Built in the early 15th century during the Ming Dynasty, the wall once encircled the capital, protecting the imperial city within. The highlight is the southeast corner watchtower, an imposing structure that showcases the scale and strength of the old defenses. It’s beautifully preserved and often hosts small exhibitions about the city’s history. Walking along the restored wall and through the landscaped gardens, you can imagine how Beijing looked centuries ago.

Excellent park to soak up some local life in Beijing - very peaceful and quiet despite the central location. The Ming Tower at the eastern end of the park has excellent views of the district, including a great view of trains arriving and departing from Beijing Railway Station. It's quite a train spotting hot spot! The tower is also immense with very few visitors.

Nice spot for a quiet walk. Overall time required here would be around 90 minutes. 10RMB entry fee gets you access to the top of the wall and the museum inside the large guardhouse. You get a nice view of the surrounds and Beijing train station. The park along the wall is lovely and is full of people exercising and doing various activities.

Great little walking park along the old Ming Dynasty City Wall. The wall's in great shape, all things considered (probably got restored recently), and the walking paths are well-maintained. Lots of families make use of it and I saw several old folks exercise groups and dance groups. Really nice for an evening walk, and for the part that's along the wall, it's free.

Healthy park in the middle of many roads around including railway and the train! Very attractive and peaceful place for tourist. Not much people on the wall and good for peeping around. If you want to have some exercise you should come here, very recommend.
