Beit Sabee Guesthouse

Great little guest house, fantastic view on the rooftop, great location, very friendly service, breakfast included in the price. They even let us rent great sturdy bikes for 3 days and we were able to go to all the sites on both the East & West Bank by bicycles, this was a real highlight of our trip. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. Bathroom could use some upgrades (picture a rustic backpacker style bathroom). We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

We stayed here for the 3rd time already and found it every bit as enchanting as we remembered. ||The guesthouse is situated in a tiny village just past Medinat Habu temple, surrounded by orchards and fields. The location is very quiet and off the beaten track. We enjoyed fantastic views from the rooftop, watching sunsets in the evenings and hot air balloons landing nearby in the mornings while we had a tasty, sumptuous breakfast. ||Staff is very attentive and likeable. The spacious rooms are colourfully and tastefully decorated with Egyptian handicrafts. There are mosquito nets on every window and we did not have any problems with mosquitoes at all.| |We would recommend Beit Sabee highly as a base to explore Luxor's West Bank; the ferry terminal to get to Luxor's East Bank is just a short taxi ride away.||Dinner is available on request, and although we did not have it this time, it looked delicious.

Incredibly sweet little guest house on the west bank with views of Medinat Habu. Lovely employees and a great breakfast with hot air balloons going past. This isn't a fancy hotel, but it is charming and calm. Recommended, especially if you're sick of the more commercial tourist hotels. And the wifi works really well.

A delightful guest house near all the sights on the West Bank for Luxor. Each day we had breakfast and dinner on the roof. The authentic Egyptian food was delicious and the chef was a wonderful host. The rooms are colorfully decorated and very comfortable. The sights and sounds of the desert were all around us. Sunrise and sunset each day was beautiful and so relaxing. The guesthouse is owned by the people who run Nour El Nil dahabiya - a luxury cruise company. We didn’t use their Dahabiya service (we used Ashranda), but what from what we could tell, it is also excellent! The staff was fantastic!

A funky and great guest house with great service. The best meal of our trip in Egypt was dinner fixed for us when we came in late from a flight from Cairo. The spicy fried fish was delicious. Great breakfast on the roof the next morning. Too bad we could not stay longer.

Spacious, chill, on the edge of the desert just below the Valley of the Queens, this place is awesome. Great rooftop area for meals (which are totally yummy) and to watch the hot air balloons in the morning, the best staff (!), clean and comfortable. Also plenty of hot water.

Rather than stay in a standard hotel in Luxor we wanted somewhere more interesting and local - the Beit Sabee guesthouse was absolutely the right choice - we had a delightful 3 night stay. Right from the start the staff were welcoming and helpful, and we loved the out of the way location and quirky feel to the place. The rooms were large and distinctive, and very comfortable. The roof terrace for breakfast and dinner was lovely- great desert views and views to the local Habu temple (which is remarkable). Try to be up on the roof terrace at sunrise and watch all the balloons going over. We had dinner at the guesthouse each evening (as well as breakfast) and the food was great. We arranged 2 days of guiding through Nour el Nil and so the guesthouse's location was perfect for the West bank day, just down the road from the Valley of the Kings. Overall it was a lovely stay and we can't recommend the Beit Sabee and its staff highly enough. It is also really convenient if you are combining with a Nour el Nil cruise - something else we cannot recommend highly enough!.

We had a great time staying at Beit Sabea. We enjoyed the quiet location and the rural setting. Our room was freshly painted, very clean and full of light and air. The bed was super comfortable with crisp white sheets and a lovely covered duvet, a real treat. The staff was very warm and helpful.|As other people have noted the bathroom has a weird and inconvenient layout in which the shower is in the middle of the room making everything wet when you shower. I wish I had flip flops to wear in the bathroom when it was wet. We had two lovely (pricey) dinners but breakfast was a bit on the spartan and boring side, some variation would have been nice.|All that said, we would definitely return next time we are in town.
