Amazing hotel located in a lively part of Beirut.
Rooms
- Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated
- There is air conditioning
- Rooms have their own private bathrooms but it's completely open concept (i.e., no door or even curtain covering the shower or toilet). No issue at all if you're travelling alone, but something you may want to consider if you're sharing a room with someone you're not THAT close with.
- There isn't much in the way of soundproofing, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs and a white noise machine
WiFi
- Good, stable 24/7 connection throughout the hotel
Staff
- Incredibly friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to provide excellent service. They speak English as well.
- The hotel is also responsive through email and WhatsApp
Breakfast
- Amazing. They serve traditional food and the pita is made fresh on site. Seriously delicious.
Location
- The hotel is located in a lively part of the city, with several bars and restaurants within walking distance
Check-in/Check-out
- Very easy. I did have a slight issue with their system not showing that I had already paid, but this was quickly and easily resolved when I produced proof of payment.
- Credit cards are accepted
- Front desk is not staffed 24/7. I didn't find this to be an issue, but something to bear in mind if it's important for you.
Other:
- The hotel can easily arrange for a taxi - including airport drop-off/pick-up. For airport pickup, just email them a few days before your arrival and they can make the arrangement
- There didn't seem to be a lift, but that was never an issue as there's almost always someone around to help you with your luggage
- They have a rooftop bar! The food and drink are amazing
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Beit Toureef and would definitely stay here again.
