Our family travelled a long distance to visit what looked to be a beautiful hotel based upon the photos online. Unfortunately, most of the advertised pictures are part of a separate part of the hotel reserved for group bookings, and all photos are taken with an advantageous angle hiding the parking lot/road immediately in front of the rooms and restaurant. If booking a suite, take note that it’s in a separate building that you have to walk to and which feels like a motel— abandoned bike and stroller in the entryway, seedy staircase, public restroom.. it was not at all worth the $500 we spent. Several of these rooms do not have windows that can be opened or central air. The 5-course dinner is $100/person. We were given printer paper menus in Norwegian, no English, and no one was able to translate. We left and went to the burger place across the street which was actually pretty good. They offer a standard Norwegian breakfast which was great, but you get it at nearly every hotel. I would not recommend making the trip out here if this hotel is the main attraction.

If it was accurately advertised, we would never have booked our stay here. Yes our windows opened in the room we were changed to, I mention that other rooms do not have windows that can open or central air as a precaution for potential guests because it’s factual. If the waiter spoke English, why couldn’t he tell us what was on the menu? He did not suggest the other restaurant, I told him we were going there when I notified him we were leaving. This place is resting on their laurels from days long gone.
