Bel Ami Hotel Restaurant Normandie

A very comfortable and peaceful hotel with the river running alongside. A good base to visit Monets Garden in Giverny and also Vernon. Ample car parking. Food good both at breakfast and dinner. Room clean and bed comfortable. Would definitely return if in the area

What a wonderful little gem! My husband and I booked a night at the Bel Ami on our way back to the UK. We arrived late in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. Our room was cosy, modern and warm, with a view over the river. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant and were not disappointed. Great cocktails, some made with the local apple cider, and a fabulous menu. All in all, we would definitely recommend and will hopefully stay there again.

Stayed for one night on the way back from further south but also it’s near to Giverny for us to visit Monet gardens and house. We were greeted at reception by friendly staff who were very helpful. The room was nice, but there was some paint peeling off the walls here and there.|We ate dinner in the restaurant which was ok but expensive. Breakfast wasn’t great and also expensive.

Apart from the great location on the banks of the beautiful Eure, the warmth of the staff is what lifts this hotel into the special. From the lady in reception who walked me to the back gate to show me where to go for a run along the river, to Asma and her team on breakfast, everyone was warm and unfakeably genuine. The bedroom and bathroom all unimpeachably clean and comfortable, we slept well and were glad of our choice.

Reception very friendly and helpful, carried our baggage to our lovely room. Balcony overlooking river, very picturesque. Shower was not the best but adequate. Bed very comfortable and good linen. Parking was secure. Great location.|We were disappointed with the restaurant, service excellent but food was precocious, we had carre d’angeau which was good but vegetable were not good, tough piece of aubergine and piece of braised chicory, a few new potatoes would have enhanced it. Desert was good but felt food very overpriced. Would stay here again but find another restaurant in the town. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic location. With lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Just beware if you are allergic to dogs, they have been in some of the rooms. Saturday night and it was very noisy until 1am so very difficult to get any sleep.

Birthday dinner for two on the terrace. Wonderful location by the water, nice view. Kind and attentive team. Menu however was average and rather pricy.

Hotel room was beautiful, well equipped, large, and we were allowed to have the dog with us. Receptionist on check-in was surly and unhelpful. Food was pretty good, service also pretty good, but not consistent given the price and the high-end aim. Cocktails overpriced.
