Today was my second visit to Bel and The Dragon. We were served by the lovely Chanya who was attentive but not over the top. She was very helpful. The food is top quality, really special. The building has a wonderful ambience with beams and a roaring fire. It isn't cheap here but this place is special and the food was incredible. Parking can be a bit of an issue but you can park on the road.

We had a great weekend away here at this dog friendly location, the rooms were very nicely presented and clean with a comfy bed. We had breakfast and dinner both days which was excellent. The bar does get very busy in the evening but the staff are very attentive and get to you asap.

What an incredible place! The room was lovely and spotless, the bed super comfy and breakfast delicious ... but it's the extra special touches and extra special team there that takes this to another level!!||There's free drinks on arrival in your bedroom, a very comfortable residents only lounge with more complimentary drinks (see the pics). That was a huge bonus and the staff were brilliant!||We were struggling to get a taxi to Highclare Castle so the manager Darren stepped in to make sure we were able to get there and back.||The team have a strong family vibe about them and we left feeling as though we'd stayed with friends - A fabulous stay!!

A sweet place, great choice of drinks on offer and the food menu was very good indeed. I was going to have a main, but because of the choice my colleague and I ordered starters, mains and shared a dessert for two. Very chilled atmosphere. Well worth the visit.

Had lunch there. Food was terrific. Good selection of ales. Outside seating/dining area sheltered but not pretty. Dog water bowls available. Landlady was lovely and had dog treats to hand!

Brilliant little find on the way back up north from the coast; lovley menu with items you won't find in the average pub. Food was fantastic, the pork rolled roast being a total hit with me .. this would be our regular if we weren't 3hrs away ..

We both had a roast which came out and it wasn’t large, potatoes were very undercooked, there was only a tiny amount of gravy given. Horseradish was extremely hot (even for me who loves horseradish) and would benefit from a little cream. Beef was ok, overall very underwhelming so felt the cost was very steep. Music in the garden was loud and singer was out of key so could’ve been better. Roast and two pints cost us over £70 for two of us and with the meal being so poor, we left feeling disappointed.

What a fantastic place the Bel and Dragon is. Primarily it is a pub / restaurant but it also offers a number of really tastefully decorated rooms and also a separate guest lounge.|I was there for a wedding and cannot fault the tireless work of Darren, Luke and all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they really did all go the extra mile.|An extra shoutout has to go to the chefs and the kitchen team. The food was generous, delicious and very well presented. The high standard was maintained throughout the wedding breakfast, which served over 60 people.|The interior of the pub is really nicely done. There’s a great bar area and a really great rear garden space which is filled with tables and chairs and a super location to catch the afternoon sunshine.|All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable and tip top experience. |If you’re in or nearby the beautiful village of Kingsclere, you won’t go far wrong visiting or even staying here.
