My experience at Belance Paddington was beyond disappointing - it made me not buy a suit I actively wanted. I made an appointment on a Saturday to buy my wedding suit; I really loved the unusual tuxedo styles on offer and the store itself is beautiful. However, I could not in good conscience purchase anything because the service was so appalling. I was not offered anything to try on other than jackets, none of which were in my size. I asked repeatedly to try on the jackets with a shirt and the salesman refused twice saying they had nothing that would fit me, before he magically found a shirt for me. He also refused again and again to provide me with a pair of pants to try on with the suit. I don't know how I was expected to make a decision on what suit I wanted without trying it on with a shirt, pants or a jacket that fitted. I was given next to no information on fabric options, the manufacturing process or pricing besides the bare minimum. The salesman also told me that he would call a week later to discuss next steps and that call never came. He made comments on the length and fit of the jacket which made it abundantly clear he had no idea how to measure a suit properly. His attitude was rude and disinterested. I have worked myself in suits for 4 years and could not imagine a worse customer experience - especially for luxury items like this. I sincerely hope most customers are not treated as I was and hope that Belance finds some better salesmen in the future. Until then, I would not recommend spending thousands of dollars on an item which will likely not fit correctly, and which you will have had to use your imagination to know whether you like it or not - because you will not be allowed to try it on.
