"The Red City’s Best Pool Passes From April onward, access to a pool is essential to your enjoyment of Marrakech—and canny entrepreneurs have ensured there’s something for every budget. The city has some mega-luxury treats within walking distance of the medina, like the poolside pavilions at the Royal Mansour’s Le Jardin and the pool that launched a thousand photo shoots at La Mamounia. Expect to spend upward of $80 just to get in. There are also plenty of accessibly priced options a little out of town. The top of our list are the ultra-deep, black-tiled, 115-foot long twin pools at the Beldi country club, where $40 gets you a pool pass, a sun lounger beneath the olive trees, and a slap-up barbecue lunch. It gets busy, though, so if you’re after something a little more serene, book a car to take you out to the Jnane Tamsna in the middle of the Palmeraie, where gloriously scented gardens and five serene turquoise pools are hidden away among the date palms. Pool access, including a three-course lunch that fuses Moroccan Mediterranean with more fiery Senegalese flavors, is about the same price. Out at the Fellah Hotel, up-close views of the mighty Atlas Mountains can be soaked up from a shabby-chic poolside terrace over lunch (not included) while rubbing shoulders with the foundation's artists in residence. Pool access costs $22."

This trip was meant to be a very special surprise from my boyfriend, who wanted to take me to one of the most magical places in Morocco. Everything looked so beautiful in the photos, and he truly believed it would be a dreamy, unforgettable experience. You can imagine his disappointment — and mine — when we arrived and found ourselves in such a strange and unsettling place. He didn’t even know what to do or where to turn. From the moment we got there, it felt like we had stepped into an abandoned world, as if a bomb had gone off and everyone had vanished. Dry, dead plants, an empty restaurant with broken furniture, and an eerie silence everywhere. During the 30 minutes we stayed, we didn’t see a single guest — only one person at reception. The garden was completely lifeless, the service we had been promised didn’t exist, and when we asked to book a table at the restaurant, we were told we had to wait for a specific shift time — yet there wasn’t a soul around. The rooms had two heavy iron bolts on the inside, which felt very unsettling and gave us the feeling we needed to lock ourselves in for safety. Even getting there was disappointing: the road was rough and dusty, going through a strange, rural area that didn’t match the luxurious image we were expecting. In the end, we paid for one night but left immediately and happily moved to the Four Seasons, where we could truly enjoy the magic of Morocco. Advice: Please read the reviews before booking so you don’t experience the same shock we did. Morocco is a beautiful, magical place — make sure to stay somewhere that truly reflects that magic.

We were very disappointed upon arrival at the hotel. The photos on the website are highly misleading and do not reflect the reality. The gardens were completely neglected, dry, and clearly lacking maintenance. The restaurant was equally underwhelming, which led us to leave before even having lunch. Fortunately, Marrakech offers many wonderful alternatives, and we quickly found a much better option. Unfortunately, the Beldi does not live up to its online presentation and was a major letdown…….I strongly recommend not to go there!!!

Really disappointed and hope owners read this and take note .. it can improve and wow guests. The grounds are amazing & delivered rest & relaxation which is what we were after. Ismay was superb and we thank him for his hospitality. However when you’re so far out of the city you expect better dining experiences. The breakfast was pre-plated & poor variety especially consecutively for 3 days. They say 2 restaurants but not open at the same time !! Poor choices & we received the wrong dish which was only acknowledged half way through. Expensive for what we received. On our last night we preferred to eat elsewhere even though that meant spending on a taxi. Although it’s nice to wander round the grounds it was particularly challenging to negotiate from one hotel to the other to find an open restaurant. On check-in this should have all been explained. Perhaps because they know this is sub par they don’t discuss it. Being the only guests (3 people) in one of the hotels was strange and even more reason to eat elsewhere for a bit of atmosphere.

Gorgeous resort, lovely setting. Staff are completely useless, expect to wait 30+ minutes for a drink or service in the restaurant. Not their fault as they’re clearly overworked (and dealing with some silly systems - a single chalkboard menu for the whole restaurant is a bad idea) but it really affected our enjoyment of an otherwise lovely setting.

Please don't go to this hotel. We paid a deposit for a wedding, which was confirmed as refundable should lockdown restrict travel nearly 5 years ago now, and we still have not received our money back. After responding the past few times in Arabic, the hotel is now completely ignoring us. Please don't trust them.

Beautiful place, however we had issues with the waiter and payments. Prepare cash when you come because they will make you pay before you even finish your coffee or your drinks. They chased us to pay when we were just moving from the table to the sun beds right next to it. The staff was suspicious and treated as if we were going to run away. Upon saying to the waiter that doing many transactions with my card was making me pay a lot of charges and I prefer to pay everything in 1 transaction, The staff was arguing with me and even started to bring God in the conversation which is not acceptable to me. I came to relax with my 4 friends and not to be treated like a thief and not to be lectured on god.

BEWARE booking online for a DAY PASS. I accidentally booked for VILLA BELDI instead of the Beldi Country Club, easy to do as they share the same logo. Apparantly I wasn't the first guest to make this mistake. What to expect from a day trip: you are actually purchasing a 1, 2 or 3 course lunch with a sun lounger offered AFTER your meal. We had 3 courses (440DHM p.p.) no service charge, tip at your own discretion. Every bite was delicious, best meal we had eaten in Marrakesh. And they serve alcohol! My advice is to have lunch as early as possible to make the most of your day. We didn't swim but 1 (of the 2 pools) was heated enough for lots of young kids to play in the water. There is at least 1 changing room/shower/toilet block for day guests near to the pool. We went back for our dessert an hour later as we were full from lunch & after a nice walk around the gardens & browsing in some beautiful designer shops, we had coffee. Lovely relaxing day away from the madness of the city about 20 minutes drive from the Medina. There is a dedicated taxi office at the exit, they arranged our ride back to the medina for DHM150. No haggling 🤗 We visited 7th March 2025.

Stunning pools and beautiful drinks. We had a great meal here and did the day pass. I would definitely recommend it although the wait for food at the restaurant was quite high (1hr!). As long as you’re prepared for a leisurely lunch you will have an incredible time.
