We came by this restaurant two times in one week with a large (30+ people) family group which included many folks with walkers and wheelchairs. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We had many folks needing vegetarian, others avoiding sugar or gluten and we were accommodated and served efficiently. The food...... terrific. The waffles were so good, including the gluten-free one. Very much recommend this place. It's also on the lakefront where you can see and feed mallard ducks and huge rainbow trout.

There wasn’t a wait since we ate close to 2pm after our boat ride. The restaurant has a fabulous view of the lake. There’s indoor and outdoor dining. Service was friendly. Our meals came out within 15-20 mins.

Google
The view is breathtaking, and the service was awesome. They know how to make waffles and eggs. The menu is extensive. It will not disappoint.

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch before we took a tour of Arrowhead lake. She had a waffle and Bacon and they were both delicious as I tested her food for her. I had an omelette that was very good as well. We were served very fast, and the service was very good. We were here on a weekday.

The Belgian Waffle Works is a gem! Their waffles are absolutely delicious, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The food is consistently excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Whether you're a local or visiting, this spot is a must-try for a delightful breakfast experience.

Nice breakfast spot on the lake! Great food with a great view.

Google
10/10 must visit!!! The Belgian scrambled eggs were fantastic. The side of the potatoes was amazing. The apple waffle with ice cream was great too. Sitting on the patio we had an excellent view of the lake and a great environment. The service was absolutely stellar! Everything was so streamlined and as a party of 2 we were quickly seated.

Google
Bacon was great! I don't expect much from restaurants when eating waterside, seems because it seems like the food is mostly subpar. Well, not here. The food is reasonable and the service was pleasant and on point. We arrived at 9am on a friday and totally beat the crowds. It made for a serene breakfast overlooking the water from the outdoor patio. Outdoor patio was clean and welcoming. Parking lot was plenty. ADA accessible. Check out our rental cabin nearby. Link is in profile.

Yelp
Came in on a Monday morning and it was slightly busy. I waited around 15-20 minutes to get a table. We had our dog with us so we sat in the patio. Despite the heat, the patio had a pretty great view of the lake. I would recommend people eat out there even if they don't have a dog. My party ordered the Strawberry-Banana Royal and I got the Belgian Scrambled for myself. The Strawberry-Banana Royal was solid, just like most of the waffles I've had in my life. The Belgian Scrambled was pretty okay, though I've had better brunch plates. I can only compare it to the second installment of the Karate Kid franchise. It wasn't a bad movie, though I know I've seen better because the first Karate Kid really set the bar. Best believe I still finished it, though. Solid place to try out. Though I would probably try the Country Breakfast next time.

Yelp
They claim to be pet friendly. You tell me it was 96 degrees my 7 year golden retriever was in need of water I asked the waitress if he could bring a paper bowl or some kind of takeout container that I could pour some of my water in for my dog. A manager returned and informed me that their policy was they could not give me anything and I could not allow my dog to eat or drink in the patio area. I informed him it was hot out and there policy was a responsible for him not to allow my dog a drink of water while we were eating. I promptly asked for my check and left. Maybe this establishment isn't dog friendly what do you think? Oh and by the way, the patty melt was dry I feed the meat to the dog. Also the Belgium waffles are definitely overcooked. dried out and crunchy.I give them 5 thumbs down on cruelty to animals with below average food. The name works better with the crunchy in front of the name, Belgium

Yelp
As waffle house this place is not worth it, I got the Belgian Waffle Monte Cristo paid $3.00 extra fot 7 grain & 2. 95 extra for Maple syrup I hardly doughty it that my waffle was 7 grain as it looked the same color as the other 3 parties in my group and it was also hard as a brick to where the butter would not melt & my knife & fork would not cot through it I ended up eating the inside plus added Tabasco Sauce for flavor, my Maple Syrup was watered down, the best part of the meal was the fresh strawberries. Sorry not returning, left disgusted & hungry. Our waitress got lost, the bus boy kept refilling my sister in laws coffee. Plenty of other choices in the Village save your hard earned monies & avoid the lousy establishment. .

Yelp
This place is a popular spot. Get here early or be prepared to wait. The outside patio is nice as well. Dogs are welcome but patio only (including service dogs). My husband and I tried the Peach Melba topped with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. We also tried the Apples Normandy which included warm apples, walnuts, cinnamon, raisins, and whipped cream. Yum to both! It's a must experience.

Yelp
This eatery is located in Arrowhead Village and has both indoor and outdoor seating, the latter right along the lake. Avoid any confusion with seating by going inside first (rather than seating yourself on the patio), where you will be asked your preference (inside or out) and will then be escorted to a table. Virginia was our waitress, handling the entire patio, and doing a superb job of taking orders, delivering food, checking on tables, and generally making every customer happy. While this is primarily a breakfast place, we came for lunch. They offer soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch. I decided on a BLT and chose to have it on rye bread along with waffle fries. We also ordered a cobb salad to share. The BLT had toasted bread and crispy bacon. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. It was delicious but nothing extraordinary - it was standard but done to perfection. The waffle fries were really good, and while they had ketchup on the table, I instead used the ranch dressing that came with the cobb salad to dip them in. Speaking of the salad, it had bits of chicken, bacon, and ham along with olives, lettuce, tomato, crumbled blue cheese, and hard boiled egg. It was quite good and we were provided with two separate plates to share it more easily. It was a filling meal and I waddled out of there more than satisfied. Other than that, I hope to return someday to actually have a Belgian Waffle at a place called the Belgian Waffle Works.

Yelp
We had such a great experience at Belgian Waffle Works!! We came in early on a Sunday morning and had the entire patio with our pup to ourselves. Not only does this place have great views of the water, but incredible breakfast! We both got the scramble, which was huge, so filling, and so yummy. We both got extra crispy potatoes and I couldn't stop talking about how good the potatoes were. We also got a side waffle - and wow. This place doesn't mess around with the waffle. It even came with a side of melted butter, which we had never seen and loved!! Service was incredible. Even though we were the only guests on the patio, they came and checked on us multiple times. We had the best breakfast here and the best time. Will definitely be back next time we visit Arrowhead.

Yelp
Belgian Waffle Works in Lake Arrowhead is a longtime local favorite, and it is easy to see why. I had the Belgian Breakfast, which came with a half waffle, and it was the perfect way to try it without fully committing to a sugar coma. The waffle was light, fluffy, and just sweet enough to feel like a treat. The lakeside setting is beautiful and makes for a peaceful, scenic meal, even if you grew up in the area like I did. The service was friendly, and the menu has a little something for everyone. It is a great spot for a casual breakfast with a view and a reminder of why this place has stuck around for so long.

Yelp
Kids menu egg breakfast: for 10 bucks you get what looks to be three eggs if you do scrambled, choice of either sausage or bacon and a good size Belgian waffle with powdered sugar and syrup on the side. Syrup comes warm and it is sticky! Went over very well with my toddler 5/5 Belgian breakfast: two eggs anyway, I got them poached, comes with sausage or bacon and Homestyle potatoes with a waffle. Also comes with a cup of warm butter and warm syrup on the side. Everything excellent! Potatoes were solid and I did not expect them to be. They really know how to do a waffle at this place. 5/5 Mud pie belgian: this is not really for adults. It was so insanely sweet. The ice cream is not fabulous quality it's just a bigsugary mess. However if I were still a kid I would have loved it! 3/5 Coffee is unlimited and they come around to fill your coffee and waterfrequently. The service is super fast and friendly. The only knock on the place is probably the ambiance since it's a little beat up on the inside, but I came here for the food and I got what I came for! You also have a nice View either from the patio or inside, where we sat.

Yelp
Belgian Waffle Works in Lake Arrowhead is a lakeside eatery with a focus on sweet and savory Belgian waffles. We had the Belgian Breakfast with eggs, sausage, country potatoes and half a waffle along with the decadent banana-strawberry royal with whipped cream. These were some excellent waffles that threaded the texture needle of crispy and fluffy perfectly. This made for a super efficient and tasty breakfast

Yelp
A no brainer brunch spot for out of towners enjoying the weekend in Lake Arrowhead. No wait and everything came out incredibly fast. The chicken and waffles were yummy but you never want to see tendies instead of good old fashioned fried chicken as part of your chicken and waffles. Biscuits and gravy were good too. Spices in the white gravy were nice and the biscuit was thick and very soft.

Yelp
Dined here today 7/24 at 11:30am. Walked in to be sat immediately. Took our drink order as she sat us. Ordered and our food was out in what seemed less than 5 minutes. I overheard the server tell the next table 'we dont split checks' and then the table opposite to me 'asked lease keep your dog on the ground' Mind you it was a 5 pound Yorkie. Both were said in a scolding tone which caused me to look each time. Maybe a polite and kind tone with nice wording would be better. One of our table fans needed new batteries. Maybe check them at opening. Great view and ambiance on the patio. They pool tips which I thought was interesting. I assume it does create a teamwork environment but there is very little customer service communication with the tables. No real engagement but I assume they are used to fast-paced turn and burn. Overheard the table next to us was a Veteran and received a discount so we snuck in and paid for their check.

Yelp
Had an AMAZING meal here in Arrowhead Village. Sat on the patio (dog-friendly!), with a nice view of the lake and bustle below. It was a busy weekend but there are plenty of tables so we were seated about 10 minutes after putting our names down on the waitlist. We ordered the strawberry-banana royal waffle (delicious, plentiful fruit), and I really enjoyed my club sandwich on sourdough (you can choose your bread) and especially the included perfectly cooked waffle fries! My dining partners both ordered the express lunch option which is a half sandwich with either a soup of the day or salad, and they enjoyed it. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting!

Yelp
Average to be honest. We love breakfast places and this place looked great. It's right next the lake. A lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff was friendly but unfortunately that's really it. The food was average if. Nothing too spectacular. It looked good but the flavor wasn't there. My potato's were cold when I ate them. And it had an overpowering seasoning that did not compliment the potato's. The waffle was ok. It lacked something more. I put butter and some syrup and it just didn't stand out. My husband's chicken and waffles was chicken tenders and waffles. Maybe their lunch is much better but for breakfast it wasn't that great.

Yelp
BOMB waffles!!!! Wow, I didn't know what to except here. I thought it was odd, a restaurant dedicated to waffles alone. But I get it now. The waffles rock! They have custom waffles, unlike any waffle I've had before. I ordered the apple Normandy Belgian waffle. It came with apples, raisins and walnuts. It was delicious! Very sweet. You gotta eat it fast otherwise the waffle gets soggy. Service was great. Our server was nice, friendly and checked on us periodically. Ambiance is a casual cafe. There's outdoor seating in the patio, that is dog friendly. We brought our chihuahua. It was a great time! 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor seating with views of the lake! The food was pretty filling, pretty standard brunch price even though it's in a very touristy spot. Overall good value. Food: Solid brunch foods! Pretty much everyone in our group got the Belgian breakfast and the portions are quite large! It comes with melted butter, which is pretty unique. I got the Benedict waffle and it was super creamy and warming. The waffle does get a bit soggy when you have it this way, but I still liked it. Not sure I love the olives, I think a different garnish would have been better. Service: Solid, always came by with coffee refills which was nice! Vibe: indoor and outdoor patio seating available! We sat outside and had a gorgeous view of the lake. It was a bit chilly but they have heaters.

Yelp
Food: My bestie found this spot first and finally took me to visit Lake Arrowhead Village. We were hungry so immediately found this place to eat on a nice weekday brunch time. We ordered belgian benedict, which was warm and decent, poached egg and hollandaise sauce were creamy yummy, but would've liked the waffles a little more cripsy and with a little more toppings. Mountain breakfast was a giant heap of carbs and gravy, which definitely satisfied a craving, but salty enough that we each took like 5 bites and were done. Peach melba was sweet and good finish, but couldn't shake the feeling that it was just ordinary slightly soggy waffle with canned peaches and some whipped cream on top. Price: belgian benedict was $14.5, peach melba was $13.5, and mountain breakfast was $13.25, which I think are pretty reasonable prices for the huge portions we received. Definitely could not finish them and had to take some for to go Ambiance: honestly, this is what makes the place 4 stars instead of 3 stars. We got to sit out in the patio area, overlooking the beautiful Lake Arrowhead, and had a great time enjoying the view and chichatting along. Definitely would come here again, not for the food, but for the vibes. Service: good, did not have issues ordering our food, getting them served, refilling out water cups, or paying for our meals, along with much needed to go boxes Parking: there is a big parking lot associated with Lake Arrowhead Village itself. Even thought it looks deceptively big, there are a lot of cars even on a weekday time, and we had to circle around a couple times before finding a spot.

Yelp
This place is just Ok. If we didn't have a window seat overlooking the lake, I'd give it 2 stars. I am a huge waffle fan and not picky. These are sub-par. We both ordered waffles with eggs. Eggs were good, waffle is not very big (I'd say it's a little over half size) and I make better at home out of the box. I ordered bacon to be crispy and it came burnt to a crisp. Nobody asked if it was okay. I can't believe they served it this way. I hardly ever complain and I very rarely do a less than great review but you need to be prepared. I drove 45 minutes from Big Bear Lake after reading their description. Great marketing.

Yelp
Nice spot for breakfast and lunch at Lake Arrowhead Village. The location can't be beat with lake view. We sat outside to enjoy the sun and the view. It was a little cold since it is still March but the heaters helped to keep us warm. The servers were friendly. I went for the waffles. It was good but I was hoping for more. I had the Brussels Belgian which Monte Cristo Sandwich. Came with strawberry and cream cheese. It was good however the bottom waffle became hard and didn't hold up. Our table also had order of the fish and chips basket and tuna melt. Both came with waffle fries which were great. The fish and chips were ok. Nothing that stood out. The tuna melt was nice on sourdough bread. It was super stuffed which a nice surprise. Over all good. They have so many waffle dishes so will be back to try them since they are more of a dessert.

Yelp
Food is whatever. This place is definitely overrated, even more so if they give you a long wait time. There's other options around the corner if you're looking for a breakfast and caffeine fix -- i.e. Tea Coffee Exchange.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
Wanted to score higher but 3 of 4 of us had issues with our order. I will only review mine. 1/2 tuna salad sandwich and a dinner salad. Bleu cheese salad dressing watery, I ordered wheat bread not toasted, I received sour dough toasted. If you are writing down the order, HOW do you get it wrong? Waitress forgot her name didn't refill my sister's coffee even once. The busboys did. Thanks guys, YOU ROCK! Waited a long time to try this place out. Hubby and my sister's meals were worse. Sorry, will not be returning. Plenty of other choices in the Village.
google avatar

Niki R.

Yelp
This place is always hopping! This was our first opportunity in years to try it out. Excellent service, very efficient. They know their waffles! Crispy on the outside, with a good chew creamy texture making it a perfect bite. Benedict Belgian breakfast, while the waffle was perfect, and the poached eggs cooked excellently, the hollandaise sauce was a little bit underwhelming. The black olives didn't really do anything to add to the breakfast. Next time I go back, I'm definitely going for the full Belgian waffle experience! Can't beat the view, Lake Arrowhead is gorgeous in all seasons.
google avatar

Kelly G.

Yelp
The two stars are only for the service. The coffee was not good, the food was terrible with a bad aftertaste. We had the Belgian breakfast. The only exception was the waffle was decent. The patio was nice view. But we left wishing we are at the McDonald's next door
google avatar

Roselia G.

Yelp
Perfect spot for breakfast at Lake Arrowhead Village. It has a great view of the lake, and they open when they say they open. It will be tough trying to make a decision on what to get, cuz everything sounds so good! It was all excellent, as was the service.
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
We ordered Tea (Cozy Chamomile), Coffee, Water, Kids Breakfast, Little Breakfast, and Fresh Orange. Our server Erika took our order quickly! Our food was served hot and very tasty. The ambiance was relatively noisy. Overall this restaurant is a great breakfast spot overlooking Lake ArrowHead
google avatar

Magda N.

Yelp
They have patio seating area and pretty much every table has a dog, but they are not friendly with dog. Upon waiting in line, they informed us that if our dog barked then we would essentially be kicked out. Pretty much all table in patio had a dog on our visit. Probably because everyone chose to dined here, as they have a covered patio to block the wind. Upon entering, other dogs barked at our dog but we were the ones reprimanded. Owner/staff kinda made a scene. To be fair they probably a had dog brawl happened in their restaurant and don't want it to repeat again. However the whole experience from beginning already left a bitter taste in our mouth so we'll take our money elsewhere.
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
The cutest breakfast place with a lake view! Can't ask for more. Also a great place to walk around before or after. Benedict Belgian - think avocado toast minus the toast. Belgian breakfast - a sample of everything! Bacon, potatoes, eggs and waffle There's usually a wait so plan accordingly. Of course I imagine it's busier on the weekend vs weekday. Big parking lot in front too.
google avatar

Audrey E.

Yelp
The breakfast here is delicious. They have delicious Belgian waffles and other delicious food. I like coming here for the food and views. The service is awesome and ambiance is great. We like to sit outside on a nice summer day. If you are visiting Lake Arrowhead definitely come here to eat and enjoy the views of the lake. They do get busy as this is a popular place at the village.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
The views and the food make a great value breakfast in a slice of heaven. We had a great meal on a Sunday morning. The staff is moving around a bunch and the food comes out fast. I'd say the waffles stole the show overall. The stuffed Monte and Caramel Apple were FANTASTIC! We were beyond happy with these meals. The scramble and chicken and waffles were both more traditional options but were exactly as advertised. Aside from all of that, the view is of course stunning and hard to beat for a breakfast.
google avatar

Jill W.

Yelp
It was a busy morning but we only waited about 10min for a table for two. The kitchen is very fast, so I think they can turn over tables quickly and handle the morning crowds. Either way, I'd arrive before the group is starving, in case the wait is longer. We got a table one back from the windows, so we could still see the lake. Our server was friendly but we didn't see him much. The place was clean and updated a bit from the traditional breakfast places. I was very happy with my food and my friend's was delicious too! I ordered the monte cristo. It had the normal meat, cheese, and jelly, but it was a waffle because it's a waffle place. It was nice it included a good portion of strawberries too. My friend got a waffle topped with apples (think apple pie filling), raisins, and walnuts. Probably the only negatives for me was how loud it was, the long restroom line (plan accordingly during the breakfast rush), and all the little plastic containers they use for syrup, jelly, etc.
google avatar

Stacy D.

Yelp
Excellent everything. My daughter got the peaches waffles & devoured it! I got the bacon, lettuce, tomato avocado, egg toasted sourdough sandwich and it was very delicious. Packed with a ton of goods.. yum! My son got the kids waffle meal and loved it with the sausage and bacon. Everything was super amazing. Great view. Will come back again. Ps) restaurant was super hard to find. Just think if you see McDonald's you're getting close. Park near there and walk around down the stairs and it's somewhere around the Deck area. You cannot find it on the street because it's right near the water.

Yelp
Food is always amazing & delicious. Service is exceptional and helpful. Ambiance is casual and clean. Living on the mountain or just a get a way visit to Lake Arrowhead - Belgian Waffle Works is a MUST !!!
google avatar

Yelp
I had the Country Breakfast with ham and a cup of gravy with an iced tea. Simple and good! The Grilled Turkey Sandwich is also really good. I was surprised on how fast the food was served! Cassandra was laid back, offered suggestions and relatable. Plenty of inside and patio seating, if you're bringing your little doggy's, you'll be seating out in the patio with a good look of the lake.
google avatar

Suzy N.

Yelp
Quint little Belgian waffle place by the water. The interior was quite cute, and fit the ferry outside. We visited during a snow storm and it was empty, but we enjoyed having the whole place to ourselves. I got the Belgian breakfast and it came with: - 1/2 waffle - two eggs - potatoes - two pieces of bacon Everything was good, but nothing mind blowing. The potato's are a bit soggy and could be a bit crispier. The prices were decent. My meal was $13.59 for breakfast.
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
Overall terrible. From service to the food we had an unpleasant experience. Felt like the food was premade in the back because food came out immediately. Second time I have tried eating here and it will be the last. My kids decided to name it awfulhouse
google avatar

Mai V.

Yelp
This was a lovely brunch spot right on Lake Arrowhead so definitely try to sit outside if you can. The view is beautiful and the service is great. They specialize in belgian waffles but all the breakfast items are all pretty good. Enjoyed my waffle, bacon, sausage and eggs with some hot apple cider while enjoying the great view. Also appreciated the table fans to ward off flies who were also attracted to the food. Can you blame them? lol
google avatar

Rafael G.

Yelp
Great place to have breakfast, beautiful view to the lake, Food is great, service is GREAT!!! Will definitely come back soon
google avatar

Sabrina A.

Yelp
Such a cute spot by Lake Arrowhead, they have both in door and outdoor seating. We sat out doors to have a close view of the lake. Service was friendly and incredibly quick, you can tell the whole staff is working well as a team. We got our food in less than 15 minutes after we ordered it! This place wasn't kidding about their waffles- it really was the BEST waffles I've ever had, light, fluffy, and crispy, it literally was perfect. Got a side of bacon and the yogurt parfait both were really great as well!

P K.

Yelp
One star for by the lake Unless you are starving for a Waffle! Food came out within 2mins after order, both waffle and fried chicken were cold . Fried chicken was chicken strip, they were premade, they were rock dried,
google avatar

Rhanee D.

Yelp
Server was attentive. The Bloody Mary was great. Of course the view was lovely. Both dishes we ordered were okay. Presentation of the dishes could be more appealing. I like to eat with my eyes first haha.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect mountain "diner" vibe! Delicious food, good service and great view (despite the crazy fog). Came here 5 years ago and I will come back every time I'm in Lake Arrowhead! Plus, check out the cool tea cup lights!
google avatar

Ariana S.

Yelp
We came in on a Sunday morning, wait time was about 30min. It was very packed. We sat outside but it was okay because they have outdoor heaters. Service was friendly and overall great! The food was okay. I enjoyed the banana cream waffles the most. I was expecting more flavor out of the house potatoes but they were okay. The kids enjoyed their food and their hot chocolate tho!
google avatar

Lily W.

Yelp
Located behind the McDonalds area in the plaza right by the lake. No frills comfort food that was just the pick me up I needed on a cold day. You will be literally right by the lake! What I liked: - Friendly and attentive staff - Waffle fries! - Generous portion sizes - Fair prices I didn't get a chance to try their belgian waffles, but I saw a table next to me get one and it was gigantic! Parking is in the shared plaza lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious waffles, excellent friendly service, and a beautiful view. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Brussels Belgian is like a Monte Cristo. Great combination of sweet and savory. Comes with a side of strawberries. Also comes as a half portion. Pricing: about $13 for an entree, very fair for the portion sizes Wait time: 8am on Sunday, group of 10 got seated immediately Parking: at 8am on a Sunday, plenty of parking. By the time we left around noon, no parking left and everyone was circling waiting
google avatar

Devin B.

Yelp
Wow there's a reason why this place has a line around the patio! The combo of unique use of waffles and the sweet savory collaborations is addicting. We stopped in for breakfast and seemed to hit the timing just right and got seated immediately but by the time we placed our order the place was packed and the line up was filling up. The breakfast menu had options that were served with ice cream !! Ice cream for breakfast a kids dream!! As well as savory options like the monte cristo style sandwich with cheese, Ham and turkey stuffed inside. The service was quick in mere minutes after ordering food was being delivered before a cup of coffee was consumed. All in all a great breakfast stop.
google avatar

Nazanin V.

Yelp
They seated us at the corner of the patio without Heather just because we had a dog. They informed us that if our dog barks, they have the right to ask us to leave.

Yelp
We are spending the weekend at arrowhead to celebrate my husband's birthday. Belgian Waffle Works not only has the best food, but they also have an amazing staff. Our server Cassandra was so attentive to our children and our service dog, she was so genuine and thoughtful. Another staff member Ivan went above and beyond to make things as comfortable as possible. We are so glad we found this spot and will come back for sure! Highly recommended.

Anon M.

Yelp
So welcoming when we fist came in! Virgina helped us today she was on point and super friendly service! Shoutout to her for killing it with the service and good time Food was sooo good too the specialty waffles were out of this world.
