On the Grid : Belgrade Design District

"In the past it was the first Shopping Mall in the city, today a little district full of designers, studios, galleries, etc... Come to take a look to the new designs by Serbian artist, to see what they are doing and to buy, very specials things for a very competitive price. !psi5 ![pSI (2)](/assets/pSI (2).jpg) !psi4 !pSI ![pSI-(3)](/assets/pSI-(3).jpg) From the first time when I visited this city I was coming... always changes, always surprising. Vidimo se!" - David Pujado

A great space! Very stylish and atmospheric. There are many shops with handmade products.

The best shopping. All the designers have off the rack options but they will also custom make things if you have time. Plus ceramics, skincare, etc all beautiful artisan goods.

Sounds like it's amazing - but it's only ok ;) looked like something you might find interesting in California with the only difference being that the buildings are a bit more atmospheric in Belgrade

Great creative space with unique pieces of clothing and items. Even if you do not buy anything, it is interesting to window shop a little.

Here you may find hand made gifts and clothes by Serbian young designers. You shouldnt miss this place if you are seeking Berlin vibes in Belgrade. Check out store named 1250 for lovely hand made pottery, especially if you want to buy something likr rakija glasses as souvenirs.

Very funky location across multiple floors. Not all the shops are worth it, but especially the ones on the ground floor selling art and products made locally by Serbian producers and artists are beautiful. Definitely worth a visit and great when looking for gifts.

Unfortunately it was close at this weekend when I was there bit all the diverse shops fill u up with another good energy different from the whole city. You can more or less imagine that here is a good and lovely atmosphere. many arty shops galleries designer tailors and closing as sushi bars pubs and a hostel is close by.

I was hoping to find some handmade, unique, modern items for gifts and souvenirs on my recent trip to Belgrade, and the Belgrade Design District delivered! It was wonderful to see this crumbling 1990's shopping mall start to blossom with small, local handcraft businesses. I puchased some lovely soaps, children's items, ceramics, and handwoven/ knitted clothing. Not all storefronts were occupied, and sadly many shops are closed as their owners are also the craftspeople so the hours are limited. I will look forward to returning on my next visit to Belgrade to see what treasures I will find here! If you are in Belgrade, I highly reccomend stopping in and supporting these makers.
