Disappointing Experience – Unfair Treatment and No Parking as Promised
We are on a 3-week trip starting from Zagreb, covering several Balkan countries and ending with a 10-day beach holiday in Greece. For our stops, we specifically searched for hotels with parking, rooms with either tiled or parquet flooring, and a Booking.com score above 8. Based on these criteria, we chose this hotel.
However, upon arrival, the receptionist told us very clearly that there was absolutely no parking available. Just five minutes later, a Serbian family arrived and was allowed to park directly next to my car. The receptionist didn't even ask for their name or booking number—he immediately guided them to a secured parking area belonging to the hotel.
When I asked again, I was strictly told to park in a public parking area and that my car must be moved by 7 a.m. the next day. My concerns were dismissed abruptly. When I brought this issue to the manager, I realized that unless you are Serbian in this region, your voice doesn't seem to matter.
We have filed a complaint with Booking.com and are waiting to see the result.
To make matters worse, the rooms are tiny, poorly maintained, and the staff are generally unhelpful. Constant noise from internal operations (possibly plumbing or ventilation) made our stay even more unpleasant.
I do not recommend this hotel and would not return.
