Belihuloya Rest House

Didn't stay overnight- stopped on my way to Balangoda and had a cup of tea and chinese rolls. The food is excellent and the service is absolutely stellar so would highly recommend. We also forgot something and returned to find it kept safely and returned. If you want a nice spot to watch the river, enjoy a cup of tea and short eats, would highly recommend!

we stayed in the new wing built in 1999 and the vibe is very dated. The rooms were very clean except an issue with the bathroom which was fixed immediately. The food was great and the service was remarkable. The view and sound of the river from our room balcony was breathtaking. we will definitely return.

Now this is what I call a place with character. A place where you can actually not only enjoy the food but your surroundings as well. This place is very well maintained and reminds me of the old days. I really enjoyed my stay at this place. All I needed was time, cold beer and a cigar. I spent an hour sitting veranda appreciating the place.

Great food and nice location. Reasonable prices for buffet 1990/- pp But unfortunately waiters are very very lazy. So make sure ask a coke before eating otherwise he will bring it when you are eating dessert. I had to go and ask twice to get it n force him to take n give.

As a buffet, I expected variety and flavor, but this experience was a complete letdown. The food was bland, lacking seasoning and creativity—everything tasted the same, from the pasta to the chicken. To make matters worse, the trays were often empty, and it took ages for anything to be refilled. I spent more time waiting than eating. Hot dishes were lukewarm at best, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested. For the price, I expected much better quality and service. This was easily one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Stopped for a cuppa at this beautiful location. Reasonably priced. Well kept and clean. The staff was kind, attentive and very efficient.

Buffet was not constantly filled with food, had to wait 25 mins to eat a bland fried rice. Ice cream was just as separated as the fried rice, jelly was sitting out without being cooled. Everything bad.☹️

Must visit place to enjoy the vacation. Tasty foods with such a lovely environment.
