Completely honest review, I seriously don't do this, like at all, but Beliveau was totally worth the money paid to stay there for the weekend and honestly, I would have paid more. I took my girlfriend there for her 31st birthday this past weekend and we stayed onsite at the Bed and Breakfast. We also did their "Dine under the Vines" dinner, hiked around the estate, and relaxed in the beautiful outdoor seating areas while drinking great wine.
First, Yvan and Joyce are literally two of the nicest people I have ever met in my life! They are generally interested in you, what you are doing there, and your interests. Yvan is hard working around estate but will always sit down with you and chat (once he is cleaned up haha). Joyce's lavender around the estate is gorgeous (although when we were there it was out of season and cut) but you could absolutely tell that it is amazing when its in full season. Joyce is also a sweetheart, hard worker around the B&B, and will chat with you just the right amount and then knows when to let you go to enjoy the winery and your day! OOOO and don't forget the old timer pup on the winery Duchess who is a fluffy farm dog and absolutely adorable although we think she can't hear and may have a sight issue (haha) but she is as happy as can be! Also, we got to meet (I believe) most of staff who are literally like a family around there and brought my girl friend and I in like we have all known each other for years! Young and fun, Derrick (the wine maker), Mikayla (the chef), Jessie, and Caroline all have a great time together!
Ok, I am by no means a wine connoisseur, I am just an average person with an average palate but literally every wine they had there was at least worth a GOOD, but majority were REALLY REALLY GOOD! We didn't really leave the estate for anything and enjoyed spending the time both inside the winery and out on the property drinking the wine and it is all reasonably priced. My favorite was Discovery, which was a fruitier wine referred to by the staff as "Adult Grape Juice" (I know all wine is adult grape juice but this was so good and a little sweeter, just FYI). My girl friend loved the Mystique which was a little dryer but still good.
Second, the B&B. It was a beautiful home, well taken care of, and super comfortable beds! Joyce and her team made AMAZING 3 course breakfasts the two mornings we were with them and you don't have to get up too early to attend with the rest of the guests. Also, if you're a little late to breakfast, they don't mind and they will bring yours out too. They have a pool table, which I love pool but didn't use it, but it was a really nice table with actual nice pool sticks. They have a beautiful open foyer area great for reading and having some coffee in the morning, and there is a community back deck for hanging out in the evenings or mornings, and I believe (at least ours did in the Tranquillite room) every room has its own back deck area with seating. The Tranquillite room was really nice with a king size bed, and was perfect for two people but I wouldn't recommend kids in this one. However, they have multiple options of room sizes for families. Joyce also had an amazing cake made from a local baker (I believe) made for my girl friend, and it was waiting for us when we arrived with plates and forks!
Third, all I can say is Dine Under the Vines is completely pintrest worthy and was absolutely worth every dollar and honestly, like the B&B, should have been MUCH more! Chef Mikayla did a phenomenal and unique job in preparing the 7 course meal! Our dinner highlighted the sunflowers that Yvan and his team planted on the estate (although they were all literally eaten by deer haha, it's still a sore subject for them :)). The "sushi" was a great spin on meats and cheeses you typically have with wine, which was really cool. The soup was super earthy and abundantly flavorful (many people thought it was the highlight). The main course of steak crusted in sunflower seeds and some other things, was cooked perfectly and super flavorful! And all the wines were paired perfectly (many of which most people would not pair with some of this food but it ABSOLUTELY worked).
Fourth, there is literally seating EVERYWHERE around the winery for your own picnic getaway or sitting in the main area with the other people enjoying the scenery. If you go to the back of the winery to the top at the wood line, it is literally the best view of the estate and is perfect for a Charcuterie platter and a couple bottles of wine. If you are a college student trying to impress a girl for the weekend, I definitely recommend this place and taking one of the distant tables for some enjoyment alone. Also, if you are hikers ( my girl friend and I are avid hikers) Yvan has cleared out hiking paths ALL across the estate for you to enjoy and you will literally get to see the winery from every single angle, which it is beautiful no matter where you see it from!
