Bella Hotel

The room condition was very good, but the overall service was not. When we arrived at the breakfast restaurant, it was closed. The host didn’t reply to any of our messages. After waiting for more than half an hour, we gave up. The host only replied an hour later saying the restaurant was fixed, but we had already left.

Among 6 three-star hotels I lived in Iceland, it was the worst. First, there is just one lift. And it is OUT OF SERVICE that day, and our family has to carry our heavy luggage upstairs by our own!!!!!!!!! (which takes us a lot of time and energy😕😕😕） Second, the breakfast is equally poor, there is just VERY few choices, not what you would expect. Third, there is just one staff you can find around(which is inside the restaurant). Thus, it would be very hard to find any help.

The service was the worst I encountered. We had a lock issue. The room door couldn’t be locked so it was not safe to live in at all. We called the customer service line for help. One representative said there was only one room available from tomorrow; another representative (who answered just five minutes later) said no room would be available for the next two days and immediately hanged up on me - unbelievable! 0 star for service.

Very poor communication and lack of cooperation from the hotel. They were unable to provide a simple confirmation needed to resolve an issue with my reservation, which caused unnecessary problems. Not a professional experience.

This is still near the city/commercial area so I think the price is still quite ok. Remember that Iceland is expensive as it is, a normal room/apartment normally ranges 200-300 USD. Breakfast is included with bread, cereals, fruits, jams, coffee, juice, ham. With elevator. This is a self checkin apartment so make sure you receive an email from them prior to arriving for the door code and room assignment. |The room has only a very small window which made it a little bit stuffy if the weather is not too cold. | Outside (look left) and you will see KFC nearby about 3 min walk.

Rooms are outdated and smelly, especially because of the dirty carpets. You only get two towels and pieces of toilet paper and need to “ask” for more although there’s no one from the hotel present. They don’t clean your room in between nights. Extremely overpriced, it feels like a hostel.

Need to make sure your door closed properly. No extra lock on inside.:( all-in-one type of shampoo-shower gel.:( No human service staff. Self service number code entry to Apartment and Room. Hmmm... as long as e-system are not faulty.

Ok we found the hotel very impersonal, by meaning no one to talk to, good or bad, self check inn and I mean no one. ||Cleanliness over all just below average, reason been arrived all very clean but going into day two room had not been touched or change of towels that carried on into day three of our stay||Restraunt, well can't say anything, on the Saturday night after a day's sightseeing arrived back at the hotel about 7.15 pm went got a shower change ect went down to eat about 8.15pm and the place was shut, even though there was a sign outside the restaurant say closes 9 pm???||Plus sides WiFi, parking great. And the location I could not have asked for better, easy access to golden circle area and south of the country.
