Bella Hotel

Nice rooms with a central location. But I am not satisfied with the service for the breakfast. The person at the desk was unfriendly and rude. My little one accidentally broke a glass cup and I received a very unfriendly reaction from the person. He instantly told me that I have to pay for it (offcourse I was willing to!) but the overall environment was not nice and my family wanted to leave the place as soon as possible. I would definitely re think of making a stay in this location.

This was probably the best place we stayed in Iceland (we were pretty low budget). The room was comfortable and the parking out front was convenient. The shower was excellent. Groceries across the street and lots of restaurants nearby. We stayed two nights and did the golden circle on our full day. The fridge could have been colder, but everything else worked fine. The capsule coffee was pretty good. We would stay again if we were in Selfoss.

Gross rooms that are so outdated. Do not be fooled at how modern the front of the hotel looks because the rooms are gross. Our hotel room had carpet stains that looked questionable. Room also smelled weird and the water in the bathroom stinks like rotten egg/sulfur. For something that cost me almost 200, I regretted it. Room did come with fridge and a safe. Don’t recommend

Bella hotel is located in the main street of Selfoss which is at the same time a part of the Route 1 - traffic road which encircles the entire island. Therefore, you might conclude it's a busy road, so getting a room on the opposite side would be good. However, that's pure luck depending on the email you'll get, as there's no one in the hotel. Like many others, this hotel is also unstaffed to cut expenses. A day before arrival you'll be emailed the code which is valid for entering the hotel and your room as well. Lobby is a small room with seating area and elevator. Room is basic - it was clean, with beds, refrigerator, small closet and fair size bathroom. That's it. Free parking in front and around the hotel. Location is good, everything in walking distance, no need for car (we left it parked). THINGS TO DO: Sundholl Selfoos public baths - 5 min walk, normal entry fee (read that review). Great place to relax after all day out. DINING: I suggest going to "Old Dairy Food Hall" - 10 min walk. Mall like live cooking restaurants with burgers, Thai, fish, Mex,.... Good value for money

Very good location for a stop heading east out of Keflavik along the south coast. Decent sized rooms, had everything we needed. Choice of places to eat nearby.

The hotel emailed us our room number and a door code. We arrive at the hotel at 9 PM. We keep trying the code to the door. It won't work. We tried for about ten minutes. Finally, a who was inside the room who had just gotten out of the shower opens the door from the inside in just a towel. The hotel put us in an unsafe and deeply humiliating situation because they gave us the wrong room number. What makes things worse is that management is refusing to respond when I complain about the situation. Completely ignoring me. Don't stay here. Stay anywhere else.

Had a hard time figuring out where to park at first but that was taken care of quickly. Concierge isn't always staffed but we didn't have too much issues getting in touch with them. The room was beautiful and clean, and pretty spacious as well. Right in the middle of town, but the area is not really walkable, and you probably have a car anyway. Overall no complaints, would stay here again.
