This was a phenomenal place to eat. The wife and I went on a date night and this made it a wonderful night! The waitress was excellent. She was attentive but not overbearing. We ordered the Truffle fries to begin the meal. Literally perfect ❤️! The aioli sauce was so good. The main course was Chicken Parmesan. They were cooked well and not too saucy! We finished everything off with the Italian Donuts and what a divine choice! They were not too doughy or heavy. When we left, the portions were so large we had enough left for a couple days meals! Bella, Keep up the great work. We will definitely be back!

We visited Bella with my family to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and everything was simply wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was truly outstanding — the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Every dish was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers to the dessert. One of the most memorable touches was the personalized birthday sign placed on our table, making the celebration even more special. It’s those thoughtful details that make Bella stand out. Even though it’s about a 40-minute drive from Knoxville, it’s absolutely worth it — and we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Bella, for making our celebration unforgettable!

I recently dined at Bella, an upscale Italian restaurant nestled in a charming part of town. The restaurant boasts a beautiful, modern ambiance with an elegant blend of rustic and contemporary design. The soft lighting, polished wood finishes create an inviting, upscale atmosphere perfect for a special lunch outing. The menu was disappointingly limited for a place of this caliber. With just a handful of choices for each course, it felt like the restaurant was more focused on quality than variety—which, in theory, is admirable. However, the dishes I tried didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by the luxurious setting. Overall, Bella has the potential to be a standout, but the limited menu and underwhelming execution left me feeling less than impressed. For an upscale experience, I would have hoped for more consistent flavors and a more substantial menu offering. The beautiful setting and attentive service are definitely there, but the food needs to catch up with the atmosphere.

We came to Bella to celebrate our 27th anniversary and had a great time here. The atmosphere was excellent and our server Samantha was amazing. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending friends and family to visit. I would recommend making reservations before you come, luckily we did because the place was very busy.

5 Stars – Elevated Italian Dining in Downtown Maryville We finally tried Bella (the former Sullivan’s Downtown) on a Thursday night, and wow—it did not disappoint! We’d heard rave reviews from clients, so my husband and I made reservations for 7 PM. We ended up arriving around 6 PM and grabbed seats at the bar—even though our reservation wasn’t ready yet. Drinks & Appetizer: • Their white peach sangria was sweet and delicious, perfect for early evening sips. • My husband’s walnut cocktail was also phenomenal. • The bartenders were awesome—friendly, efficient, and fun. • We shared the candied bacon appetizer, which was so good that we almost ordered more! Dinner: At 6:40 PM, our table was ready. Our server promptly took our drink order, and although the artichokes weren’t available due to a supply issue, everything else we tried was phenomenal. • We shared the beet salad and Brussels sprouts—both were fresh, vibrant, and deeply flavorful. • The highlight? The tableside pasta, spun in a giant cheese wheel and paired with a perfectly cooked filet. Seriously, it was the best steak I’ve had in ages. • The tableside cheese-pasta experience was a show in itself, and the server who handled it was personable and enthusiastic. Even though the restaurant was busy, service was flawless—no delays, no fuss. When we couldn’t finish everything, our server neatly boxed it up for us to take home. Bella’s décor is modern and upscale, making it ideal for a date night. They also have a private room available for larger gatherings or parties—great to know for future outings. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From cocktails and candied bacon to cheese-wheel pasta and steak perfection, Bella hit every high note. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

My husband and I spent our sixth wedding anniversary in Townsend together staying in a sweet little Airbnb. We looked for restaurants nearby and found Bella- luckily there was a cancellation so we were able to get a table for two. The restaurant blew us away- the atmosphere, the waitstaff, the food! Our waitress was so kind and attentive. We got the pasta served table side in the cheese wheel and the gentleman in charge of serving it was top notch as well! Lastly, the salads, Gorgonzola Filet, the aforementioned cheese wheel pasta, and the pot de crème were all delicious! If you are celebrating a special occasion, make sure to let them know when you arrive. We will definitely be back! P.S. for the quality food and the experience, the price was honestly much lower than what we would’ve paid elsewhere!

It was our 1st time here and what an experience. The staff was winning from the moment we walked in the door. Our server Presley was an absolute delight with a great smile and sense of humor I will look for her every time we visit. I was looking for something fruity from the bar and Adam was happy to make it for me. We ordered the Cheese Wheel (which I highly recommend) and Ian put on quite the show! Overall a wonderful experience.

Make a reservation, or if there is a cocktail table open, you may sit there. Grant was nice. It is a fine dining establishment. Prices were fair. Overall, it was great and will definitely return!

My wife and I celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary at Bella on June 12 and once again our experience was excellent. Thanks to management, servers and the kitchen staff for an outstanding dinner. The food was great, the atmosphere was delightful and everyone was friendly and cordial. We have dined at Bella four times now and highly recommend them.

If you're anywhere near Maryville and craving quality Italian food, do yourself a favor and go to Bella. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken parm, and both were absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being too heavy. The chicken parm? Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered in just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming--perfect for a date night, family dinner, or just treating yourself. Service was attentive and friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. You can tell they care about what they're serving. Bella is a hidden gem in Maryville that I'll definitely be returning to!

Well, so much for my keto diet. Three days on the road hauling my daughter's horse to our final destination and we as family come here. Here! I really tried y'all but that artisan bread and the table side cheese wheel with pasta. Shhhiiiiiiiit. I was gone baby!

I had dropped by Bella once without a reservation on a Friday night and they seemed pretty busy. Went back for a group outing from work about 12 of us. They allowed us to use the private room upstairs which was nice. Great tap list with solid choices up and down and the whiskey and tequila selections were great as well. You can definitely find 2 fingers of your favorite pour. We ordered basically every appetizer and the garlic dip, calamari, fried artichokes and meatballs were all outstanding. Great execution on them all. I decided on the mushroom rigatoni which turned out pretty well. The game changer here is the pasta rolled around in the giant cheese wheel. They have a large and small option to choose from and that is some cheesy pasta! I would skip the ribeye, it was mediocre. There were several chocolate martinis going around and the cocktails were solid. We all enjoyed their desserts, the tiramisu looks incredible and the lavender cheesecake was unique. Our waitress Savannah was incredible, she kept us company and our food flowed seamlessly from course to course. Overall make a reservation and bring your significant other, it's a great date night spot.

I had the immense pleasure of dining at Bella over the weekend and can't say enough about what a great experience it was. The service was impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, and the food?! (chef's kiss) Cocktails- on point (try the lucky penny), table side cheese-wheel fettuccini-a delectable event, spinach artichoke dip-best I've ever had, chicken parm-don't get me started, perfect blend of crispy and moist; even the baked fresh daily focaccia service was amazing, and take home the tiramisu if you can't fit it in your stomach. You'll thank me later. Was I full? I still am. Was it worth it? Completely.

Just enjoyed an anniversary dinner. Our waitress , Stacy. Did a very good job both entrees were excellent. I enjoyed the Grouper picatta. My spouse had a beet salad which she enjoyed All in all very good. Will come again and reccomend.

Bella was a 10/10 all the way from walking into the door until leaving. The cheese wheel pasta was phenomenal, and I'm not even sure how I would ever order anything else. They have the best espresso Martini I have had (knocking the first place one I had in Vegas off the thrown). I cannot wait to go back!

As always, everything about Bella was nice. Rachael was our bartender and we look forward to seeing her when we come to Bella. She makes a mean drink, and is incredibly pleasant. We had appetizers tonight and I wish I could make these artichokes at home. They are perfection here, and I have never had artichokes that taste as good as these anywhere. Thanks, Bella, for never letting us down.

We celebrated our 16th anniversary July 25th and loved the service and the food. It was worth every dollar for the great food. The atmosphere is wonderful.

Great space upstairs to host a birthday dinner party of 12. Cheese wheel parm pasta was a hit!

Great restaurant in the heart of historic Maryville. We had heard of this restaurant from a few people as a place to check out while visiting Maryville and really glad we did. Located in downtown, it's a charming restaurant with a vast menu. Walking in we were warmly greeted and led to a booth by the bar area. Our server was I think one of the bartenders. He did a great job. He gave us time to peruse the menu and didn't rush us. We ordered the focaccia bread shareable, a small beet salad, the rigatoni ragu and the creamy Tuscan shrimp. The salad and the bread came out first. I loved the beet salad it was light and refreshing with the poached pears and the lemon vinaigrette. Everything worked really well together. The focaccia had a spongy texture great for soaking up the olive oil and the pesto. The roasted garlic and goat cheese were nice accompaniments to enhance the flavor. The star of the meal was the Creamy Tuscan Shrimp pasta, it has great flavor that kept you coming back for more. The shrimp was perfectly cooked in it. The Rigatoni Ragu was fantastic. The pasta was done a little al dente so it had a nice chew to it and it worked great with the sauce. The sauce had a little spice to it that was unexpected but awesome. It was the heartier of the two pastas with the chunks of meat in the sauce. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs so we did have left overs which was not a problem. It just meant some really good late night eats in the hotel room. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Italian food. It's a great date spot or a place to get together with friends. We will definitely be back to try out the other tempting items on the menu.

We decided to come give Bella a second try and this evening was so delightful. The waitress was attentive and very kind. The food was delectable! My husband is obsessed with their truffle fries. I loved everything about this evening.

Food 5/5 - Absolutely loved both dishes! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Steak was cooked to order and truffle fries were tasty. I would love to try more dishes here! Service / Ambiance 5/5 - The ambiance is quite charming and elegant. Service was helpful and attentive. I loved the table side pasta experience and sparkler/candle birthday experience!

Overall, it was a very good experience. The focaccia bread appetizer was very very good, although I'm not a goat cheese fan. But the waiter Alex, was great, and was very happy to bring me some regular butter. But the pesto sauce was amazing to dip the bread in. Definitely recommend the focaccia bread appetizer. I got the tuna salad and a salad itself was excellent, I didn't care for the Aahi tuna as I felt like it was too chewy and not quite crisp enough. Kind of too meaty and cold. But I would order it again. My friend got the pasta dish with the white fish and loved it. Excellent dish. For dessert we got the blueberry cheesecake, which was just OK, there was something bitter tasting in the Dish and I think it was the crust. Although it was worth getting, I'll try something different next time. I got a classic margarita with salt on the rim and it was OK, there was a bittersweet flavor in it which I didn't care for but overall it was a good drink. And my friend got a chocolate martini which was indeed excellent. Overall I'll definitely be back at Bella, it's a great place, great atmosphere.

This is a great restaurant! The warm lights inviting you in from the street. The amazing aromas floating about the air as you wander the street. The happy customers as they leave boasting about how good their meal was. With so many positives, how could one go wrong? ......you can't! As my wife and I drove through town we stumbled upon Bella as we were beginning to get hungry after a long flight home. As we searched forever for parking, we eventually found a spot and it was so worth it. I won't spoil the details of what we ate, as it was all amazing. The pictures that so many before me have posted, just don't do justice. This is truly a hidden gem that if you are looking for an amazing dinner out, you are in for a treat.

The restaurant itself is very nice inside, and the staff are very professional and friendly. We weren't super impressed with the food through. Especially for the price. While the quality of the food seemed very good, it just didnt taste great. I was especially disappointed in the cheese wheel pasta. I liked the taste of the cheese alone, but their combination with the Alfredo and parmesan just wasnt good. Having said that, I've never had thay before so maybe it's supposed to taste that way. Regardless, I thought it was pretty over priced.

We celebrated our anniversary here on Wednesday the 9th, at about 530. The place is very well maintained and cleaned. I wished I could've remembered our servers name but he was awesome. We ordered drinks and I had a creamy espresso martini which was recommend by our server and I'm glad he did because it was so good. Wife ordered a traditional margarita and it's was pretty good as well. Now for the food we ordered truffle fries which were ok, nothing really special about them. Could've used a bit of salt but overall average. For our main entree we ordered the cheese wheel thing. I added shrimp to mine and as for my wife she added chicken. The whole show he did was good and the way it came out was amazing my one and only complaint was he didn't cook out the alcohol enough and you could taste it in the finish. With 100 proof alcohol you really gotta cook it to get it out. Wasn't bad but did put a bit of a damper on the flavor profile. My shrimp was cooked perfectly, not rubbery or crumbly and my wife's chicken had so much flavor without it being too seasoned. We had a free dessert due to use celebrating our anniversary. We ordered the donuts which weren't good at all. Very oily and had a bit of an old fryer oil smell to it. Which would make sense on why they were oily. If I had paid for the donuts I would've rated it a 4 but since didn't and everything else was on point 5 it is. Thank you Bella for making our 14 year anniversary great.

Another stellar dining experience at Bella! Upon arrival, we were greeted by a wonderful young man at the hostess stand who confirmed our reservation and seated us immediately at a cozy corner booth towards the rear of the restaurant; perfect spot to enjoy a quiet, intimate evening. Our server, Jordan, was attentive, accommodating and very professional in her craft. The evening began with wine and a salad for each. For our entree, we both decided to indulge in the penne pasta flambé with a side of shrimp. This was a fantastic choice. The wine was tasty and the salads were prepared with fresh ingredients. After our table was cleared of the salad bowls, a member from the "back of the house" approached our table with a rolling cart and introduce himself. He spoke of the ingredients he would be using to prepare our entree and what to expect by melding the ingredients with a large open flame. This was the highlight of our dining experience, one that you do not want to miss out on. Order the Penne Pasta Flambé. We ended the evening with another round of drinks and shared the caramel chocolate brownie cheesecake!

My friend and I went to lunch here after a hike because he said he LOVED going. This was my first time in Knoxville, so he wanted to show me all of his favorite places! I had the Chicken Panini with Truffle Fries, which were delicious!! The truffle fries were just the perfect amount of truffle. For cocktails, I really enjoyed all the different varieties that they have. But I had the Fig Smash: bourbon, lemon, fig simple syrup, tamarind, soda, and amaro. The place had beautiful decorations, as well as lighting! It was such a great time, and I will definitely be back.

I went for brunch for the first time. I was disappointed in the breakfast dish I had. I had the Caprese Frittata and it was cooked way too long. It was almost too tough to eat. Anyway, didn't want to send back as I was with others. I have been to Bella's several times for lunch and dinner which have all been good. Just won't be ordering breakfast food at brunch. Service was great. This review is just for the experience I had on this visit.

A wonderful upscale restaurant in downtown Maryville. The atmosphere is perfect. The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. I continue to die here on a regular basis.

My husband had the grouper Piccata over angel hair pasta. I shared the fettuccine Alfredo with a friend that they made at the table in a round hollowed out cheese wheel. Another friend had the pasta ragu with meatballs. All meals were delicious! We highly recommend and definitely will go back. Service was excellent!

We had a truly lovely meal at Bella. We ordered calamari (husband was excited to see the tentacles since so many places leave them out), fried artichokes, a small portion of creamy pasta prepared in a cheese wheel, and the Wednesday night special of spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was fantastic, offering suggestions and recommending my daughter and I share the cheese wheel pasta after we explained we didn't want a ton of leftovers. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The half mood booths are great - we loved the privacy. I wish we'd had time for a leisurely dinner because I could see spending a few hours with cocktails, apps, mains and dessert. Parking was also a breeze in the lot across the street (it was a Wednesday and we got there around 5:30pm...by the time we left at 6:30pm the lot was full). We'll be back the next time we're in Maryville.

A great experience all around! Bella has some of the most delicious food in the area, and great service to match. There was a 90 minute wait for a table due to prom nights, however they were able to seat us immediately outside on their patio which was a fine ambiance, but I'm sure inside would be much better. The cheese wheel pasta is actually SO delicious, as well as the focaccia bread(which is some of the best bread I've had in a while) and the brussel sprouts. I definitely recommend checking Bella out for a nice dinner that won't break the bank.

What a nice addition to downtown Maryville! Bella is located in the old Sullivans location, and it honestly feels like you're in a big city with its sophisticated vibe. I met a friend here for dinner several weeks ago. I selected the Tuscan Shrimp Pasta, which was exceptional. My date ordered a fillet and said it was top notch as well. Service was great - attentive without being hovery. I'll definitely be visiting Bella again in the future!

The variety of items on the menu are perfect when it comes to being indecisive. From their burgers or beet salad with salmon (my favorites) or their lasagna (my dad's favorite), there's something for everyone. Any of their pastas can be substituted with gluten free penne pasta, and all of the sandwiches can be substituted with gluten free bread-- something that I'm happy to know for my gluten-sensitive friends! The service is top tier every time I visit. I feel like every server/bartender I've had at Bella truly knows the ins and outs of a perfect dining experience. The interior is calm and inviting with warm lighting and high ceilings, and don't forget their stunning light fixtures. Took my breath away seeing them for the first time! I strongly recommend checking out this gem in the heart of downtown Maryville. Can't wait to go back!

I'm not sure how to frame this... I love Lasagna, we were in the area and chose this restaurant sight unseen. The ambiance was really nice, service was attentive, but the lasagna was loaded with spices, really too much for me personally. I brought home most of it and my husband finished it up later. No one else had any complaints.

We've eaten there on 3 different occasions. Had cocktails and dinner at the bar yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed. Great staff, great food and cocktails. Highly recommended.

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. We had a very romantic experience here. The food was delicious and the Pasta Wheel is a must-have. The menu doesn't explain your options very well, but you can either order 1 entrée or 2 sides (for 2 people) in order to receive the table side pasta service. You can also order proteins (meatballs, shrimp, steak, salmon) at an additional cost which isn't stated on the menu. We thought the Salmon was better than the Sirloin due to flavor and texture. Both needed a little more seasoning, but overall it was tasty. Next time, I want to try the Octopus, Meatballs, and Beef Short Ribs!

We ordered the filet, pasta wheel, and salmon. Everything was so good! The pasta is delicious and huge, very tasty. Love the ambience and decor as well. A cozy and intimate feel, we would definitely go back.

We came here for dinner after seeing the 4 star review. However, something must have been off. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo made in the Grana Padano cheese wheel. The pasta was seriously under seasoned. Even my 2 young granddaughters noticed it. My daughter ordered the Mushroom Pasta dish and she had to add salt too. The waitress was attentive but service was pretty slow for a rainy Sunday evening at 5:30.

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Bella's. We arrived in Saturday at 5:00 pm on a reservation. We ordered meatballs. Wheel, with shrimp, small salad. Perfect in every way!. Service impeccable. All around we would recommend this place to anyone. As a special treat they served us for his 85 birthday, Italian donuts with three different toppings. Chocolate, raspberry, powered sugar. Save your money and don't miss this place. Ambiance perfect!

We were at Bella for a private party and the food was served Buffet style. Everything was served at the correct temperature, and everything was delicious! The upstairs room worked extremely well for our group. Our waiter was professional, giving us the personal attention needed and kept everyone taken care of throughout the evening. I highly recommend Bella's.

Firstly, our server Crystal was very attentive. We didn't wait 10 seconds before our water glasses were refilled. She was pleasant & able to answer questions and make suggestions. Often the server makes the experience. Our meals were exceptional. We each had a House salad and then I had the short rib with polenta and mushrooms. My husband had chicken Parm, which honestly he orders often, & he said that it was delicious. For dessert we shared the chocolate Pot de Crème. The ambience is lively but hushed. We will definitely return!

First time there BEST meatballs in the Knoxville area. The wife's Tuscan creamy shrimp was delicious. The short rib was fatty but had a great favor the management staff took care of it. Service was great looking forward to returning!

Nice relaxing ambiance. Amazing drinks, appetizers! We were a large party that came originally for drinks and desserts. We decided to do apps too and thankful for it. Truffle fries were excellent light on the truffle and crunchy texture. The calamari was amazing with a little bit of spice and some fried spicy pickles/peppers tossed in. Focaccia bread service had pesto roasted garlic and a small slice of goat cheese. My only complaint was the size of the goat cheese. Then we had the fettuccini cheese bowl flambé and it was so rich and delicious. We did end up with the tiramisu and apple crostini. Everyone loved them. I would strongly recommend the restaurant even though I have yet to eat dinner here.

It was a wonderful night out for dinner for my post birthday dinner with my wife. The ambience of room set the peaceful tone for the night. Our server was very pleasant & helpful offering suggestions when we asked since this was our first visit . Even offered suggestions for a glass of wine. We had started with the bread platter with garlic , pesto and goat cheese. Our plates arrived just shortly after enjoying this wonderfully warm bread. I will definitely return for another meal

The food and atmosphere were at the highest level! Far exceeded expectations! Someone at the table must order the Pasta in the Wheel! So many delicious items, it is hard to choose. The cocktails are also creative and so good! Can't wait to go back!

My favorite restaurant (generally)... Unfortunately they changed my favorite dish. The pomodoro pasta noodles, and meatball recipe (now very very dry) has changed. I was highly disappointed. For the first time since the establishment opened, I did not take my leftovers home. Please put the dish back to its old self. It was literal perfection.

My family ate here for the first time and I was seriously underwhelmed. The atmosphere is fancy with smooth jazz music playing on the speakers and the clientele was mostly older folks. The server was very friendly and attentive, so no complaints there. The biggest letdown was the food. Three of us ordered the cheese wheel and none of us were impressed. The sauce was watery because they didn't properly drain the pasta and it had a pretty strong alcohol taste (not in a good way). The meals weren't cheap and they don't include any bread or salad. The appetizers aren't cheap either ($12 for some bread is on example). Overall I felt the place is trying too hard to be a fancy restaurant, but totally falls short.

Really enjoyed eating at this place and the ambiance it provided. The salmon dish was absolutely excellent and the mashed potatoes were out of this world
