When the small neighborhood pizzeria moved to this spacious new spot, a fine Italian restaurant was born. The staff has clearly been trained to provide thoughtful professional service. The menu offers pastas, pizzas, meat and seafood entrees and heroes. There's a full bar. I've been here a few times, and each time we've been carefully attended to, eaten delicious food, and enjoyed the mellow buzz of a restaurant where people are relaxed and enjoying themselves. There are three large TVs over the bar, which is a little distracting, but sometimes they are covered by landscape paintings. In the back, there's a room with a skylight -- perfect for gathering friends or family for a celebratory occasion.
Particular things I've enjoyed: my mom has twice had the salmon over spinach -- a lovely chunk of perfectly broiled salmon. I recently had the farfalle with funghi, which was slightly creamy and really delicious. I also enjoy their salads. I'm not a big fan of their tiramisu, which has chocolate sauce on top, and seems to be missing the central elements of a classic tiramisu.
The owner is ever-present, walking the floor and making sure his guests are happy. The restaurant seems to attract all sorts of people from the neighborhood-- families with children, young singles, elderly couples. It's the
