Bella Trattoria E Pizzeria

I had the opportunity to dine at this place and the experience was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the Penne a la Vodka and I was really impressed. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the creamy sauce had an ideal balance between the flavor of the tomato, the softness of the cream and the subtle touch of the vodka. It was noticeable that they used fresh and quality ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, the service attentive and fast. Without a doubt, a place I will return to soon. Highly recommended!

It’s the worst experience I ever had, not because the food is mediocre and over priced but because the restaurant rip us off in our face! We came in expecting a nice lunch based on all the good reviews, but the seafood tasted like frozen, even garlic and basil was not fresh you can’t taste the herb. When the bill came we are surprised our waiter Edgar charged us 20% tip for lunch for 2 in a slow afternoon where the restaurant was empty!! Then after we paid we found out he put an additional $3 saying that’s credit card fee ( he charged us 5% but the receipt says 3% fee! See picture of receipts. This restaurant is dishonest and lack of basic integrity and I hope more people are aware of their fishy business ⛔️⚠️‼️

Every day we have rushed to the little bakery for breakfast, then rushed to the bus stop, pretty much ignoring most of the establishments along the very well established Bergenline Ave, the major commercial vein along the Hudson District of New Jersey. Today on our early walk back from the bus stop, we noticed an Italian restaurant across the street just off our turn to go "home". It had great curb appeal, so Luke checked it out online and made a reservation for 7:15. We walked over and were greeted at the door by the owner and chef. In addition to the perfect ambiance, we were treated to the most incredible dishes ever! We had cheesy garlic bread, then Luke had pepperoni pizza. He said it was the best he's ever had. I ordered the Mia Bella baked chicken and pasta dish. So delicious!! THEN the owner talked us into the Tiramisu! Seriously, the best I've ever tasted! I don't know how often you might get up to Guttenberg, NJ, but I'd be willing to bet it would be worth your time to take a bus over to Jersey and eat at @Bella Trattoria E Pizzeria!

WOW this food is Phenomenal!!! All the pasta dishes were amazing and the PIZZA was better than New York pizza, seriously. It takes me 30 minutes to get here, but I will definitely make the trip anytime I want good pizza or Italian food, because it is WORTH it. Even something as simple as the cheese garlic bread… was so mouthwatering good.

The pizza is mediocre. It's too bready with too much cheese. It taste like over priced Papa John's. I asked for pepperoni and they gave me the smallest quantity I've ever seen.

The food here BLEW MY MIND! Absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would eat there over and over just to taste every dish. Everyone at our table enjoyed what they ordered just as much as I did. We all took our time and we never felt like we were being rushed out like in some restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Hi everyone!!! I come at this restaurant for dinner, the food was AMAZING 🤩 and the service too. The food tasted really fresh and not greasy at all. The owner is very friendly and attentive, the restaurant is very clean, the music it’s not loud and the prices are affordable. I definitely come back and I really recommend this restaurant. I have passed by this place a few times and always have had the curiosity of coming inside, unfortunately I was always in a rush! But on Wednesday I decided to stop in for lunch and boy was I happy ! This place didn’t not disappoint! The ambience was great! I had the fried calamari And a delicious antipasto salad with homemade dressing to die for! I also tried a delicious tiramisu! Enjoyed an excellent conversation With Patrick Whom was very nice! This place is BYOB good to come with the family and friends for a good lunch or dinner! Definitely coming back to Bella 🫶

This is definitely one of those places you must try if you stop by the area. The staff is super nice and friendly and the food is delicious!! I'm a foodie myself and the food here is amazing I had the opportunity to try several plates everything exceeded my expectations. Definitely recommend!!! Great ambience too

The food here is so deliciously Italian that you expect to hear "Benvenuto amico mio" upon entering this establishment. The staff is friendly, accommodating and menu knowledgeable. The owner/chef Patrick regularly makes his way to the dining area to make sure his guests are satisfied, happy and comfortable. The music is pleasantly appropriate and at volume that permits conversation with your party without yelling. Very few quality Italian cuisine restaurants in North Bergen area and even less that can be as consistently superb as Bella Trattoria. This is with a car trip if you're not lucky enough to be a local. Yummy Tummy!

Hands-down the best Italian we had in New York (and it wasn't even in NYC). We stayed on the Jersey side so we could park our car and found this gem on Google. I wish we found it on day one. As an added bonus it's BYOB, so get a nice bottle of wine. The sauce will haunt my dreams.

Wonderful find ~ visiting from Philly and found this great little restaurant pizzeria! Chicken Picatta, penne Vodka, pizza ~ we tried it all and it was delicious! If you're in the area ~ eat here! Friendly people too!

Perfection is the best way to describe Bella. Stumbled on this gem while traveling to the area for a funeral. The food is amazing, layered balanced flavors, adequate portions, great price (BYOB) Don't miss the soup (pasta fagioli and minestrone were a meal in themselves), but don't stop there. Try the lasagna, pollo Marsala, rigatoni bolognese - all three are winners. Finish it off with house made tiramisu (no sugar) and carrot cake. It was evident when we returned with 20 people in tow after the service a hidden gem had been found by two Texans. Everyone raved about the food and the atmosphere was soon filled with storytelling, memories and laughter. There are few times while dining you get to experience the passion of the owner, it is reflected in every dish he served. If you are lucky enough to eat at Bella, Patrick will make it a memorable experience.

Bella Trattoria E Pizzeria is a real diamond in the rough, tucked away in Guttenberg, New Jersey. What makes this the best Italian restaurant in the area--and that includes Hoboken--is the high quality of all the dishes. Eg, the penne puttenesca is by far the best I've tasted (and I've been to great restaurants, from Manhattan to Rome). The chicken parmesan is yummy--it's perfectly cooked. Ditto the pizza pies, salmon, and penne Bolognese. Bottom line, all the dishes on menu are superb. Bon appetit!

Great service and awesome food!!! Very quaint and lovely ambience! Waiters are very helpful. Owner is very friendly and will try to accommodate your diet. I'm vegetarian and he did great with my food.

10/10 experience! The owner Patrick was a very gracious host, stopping by to check in on us a few times and even speak to us at length about his business. The food was spectacular, at a very reasonable price point. The environment is very welcoming and warm. If you're looking for a cozy date night or family restaurant spot, this is it! Bathrooms were also very clean which is not always common.

OMG this hidden gem was amazing! Can't believe I've lived in Hudson County and just found this place on the busiest street Bergenline. The food was excellent!! Service was super attentive and friendly. The whole place is a just a cozy vibe and it's BYOB. From beginning to end the entire experience was perfect. Definitely won me over !

If you're looking for Authentic Italian food definitely make your way here. Everything is good from the fresh vegetables to the lasagna to even the homemade desserts! My favorites of course was the chocolate cake and the carrot cake. Very attentive servers and beautifully decorated scenery on the inside.

Food is amazing! Everything-- from the warm bread basket to the last tasty morsel of tiramisu-- tastes fresh and flavorful! The service is nice and friendly, the ambiance is warm and welcoming. So happy to have found this place!

Love love love this place! The owner and the staff were amazing and professional and they are always making sure your drinks are topped off. From the appetizers to the desserts (which the owner makes it fresh) to the pizza we took home, it's probably one of the best spots we've visited in a long time. The owner will tell you that he owned a restaurant for 25+ years and had to close due to CoVid and had to relocate. He'll tell you his patrons from his Times Square location will make the drive to Jersey for his food. When you have this type of ownership and relationship with your patrons, you know the place will be amazing. They do have daily lunch specials and on the weekends it's BYOB brunch style. Do try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Came in on a Saturday night and the place was a little empty. The pizza was excellent. Crust was perfect and it had the right amount of cheese. The waiters were very attentive and kept checking on us. The inside is nicely decorated and they have classic Italian music playing. The staff was very friendly and they gave us really good homemade ice cream at the end. Definitely will be coming back. This place deserves more foot traffic.

Awesome food!!! We had an event at the restaurant and the owner was so accommodating. I am vegetarian and he did great with my food. Waiters are helpful and friendly. Restaurant is very quaint and cozy. Highly recommend it!!!

Bella is located just north of the West New York border in Guttenburg,NJ. We had only heard about it recently and off we went on a Thursday evening. Right from the beginning, the service was excellent and a very relaxed atmosphere. We started with the calamari fritti, which was different from all the others I've eaten. The chef slices them very thin and the result is a very crispy calamari. Delicious! Along with the calamari, we shared the caprese salad, which had juicy slices of tomato, topped with fresh mozzarella (which is made in house every day), basil and olives. Very refreshing! For the main entree, my wife had the chicken picatta and I had the chicken Marsala. For both dishes the chicken was tender and perfectly cooked. The flavors were amazing! Both entrees came with broccoli and tasty, roasted potatoes. For dessert, we shared tiramisu, which was a very unique version, also made fresh in house. It's a much lighter version with more emphasis on the lady fingers and also a nice chocolate flavor. We ended the evening with an espresso, which was perfect. They also serve breakfast and lunch. The pricing is very reasonable and they accept credit cards and AMEX. It is BYOB, so bring your favorite wine with you. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we will be returning to taste everything their menu has to offer.

Late Saturday evening business trip hotel arrival. I was very hungry but did not want to leave. I searched online through yelp found pizzeria with good reviews. ordered online with delivery, very prompt pizza was great, salad was excellent highly recommend!

Flew into NJ for a funeral and found this place close to us and based off of ratings. Being from Texas we wanted to find some great Italian food, and we scored big. We went in and was seated by the owner, Patrick. He brought out our soup and entree fast and piping hot. Best Italian food I have ever had in my 52 years. He even let us try his scratch made, sugar free, tiramisu. The food was so over the top good my guest and I told him we would be back the next day (we were on a 2 day trip). At the funeral we asked the local family if they knew of this place and they did not. We ended up filling up his place with the entire family. Once again Patrick knocked the ball out of the park. He served our entire party in a very timely manner and even took photos with us before we left. If you are ever in the area this is a must place to eat. Thanks again to the staff for allowing us to bring some laugher to a family who had lost one of their own. If I could give him 10 stars out of 10 that would be the rating.

Worst experience I have ever had. Placed two orders first one was cancelled and second one never arrived!!! Delivery driver said it was delivered but it was never delivered, they said to check outside but who leaves pizza outside anyway???! Didn't ring the bell or even call the phone number. Contacted slice since they do not answer the phone, all they did was to tell me sorry but we will cancel the order. Worst service ever! Won't be ordering again from this pizzeria! Don't order from this place

AMAZING! From the food to the service. When I walked in I was immediately greeted. The server was so kind.The food came out fast and was delicious. I definitely recommend eating here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Wow. Breakfast was amazing !!! At first we walked in and didn't know if they were open but they were. My son rated this place 8 out of 10 only because they're was something in his drink. He had 2 eggs sunny side with sausage and potatoes. Sunny side eggs were cooked perfectly and great for dipping his toast. Sausage cooked perfect and the potatoes.. "he asked for seconds" ! My wife had the pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The pancakes were so fluffy and buttery !!! She's so picky and she was like wow ! Does have powdered sugar on top. She rated 7 out of 10 because she didn't like the orange juice and she's a big OJ person! I had the Italian Omelette with bacon and potatoes. The omelette was not dry and the bacon was sooooo goood ! It didn't come with the meal. I ordered it on the side. But totally WORTH IT !!! Our service was amazing. She was pleasant and bussed our plates at the right time and kind ! I would say 9 out of 10 because I wasn't a big fan of the regular coffee. I'm sure their latte and cappuccino taste great. The ambiance of this place is so chilled and vibed. Mello music, mostly Italian music. Relaxing. The way you should be eating breakfast. We hung out for about 10 min more because of the music. Haha. Highly recommended for a place that is new and local !!! Definitely coming back for Dinner and it's BYOB !!! Amazing.

This place is a gem from the atmosphere to the music, the vast delicious menu, the wonderfully helpful staff, reasonable prices and overall experience there. The food is the best part and never disappoints no matter what meal of the day you get to enjoy there. HIGHLY recommend this place, you won't be sorry you went or took out from there! Enjoy!!
