We usually love this place, but our last experience - not as much. Freezing outside, the restaurant has a thick beautiful curtain at the front door that should have been closed on a nite like this, except when guests come in. It was partially open. We were seated near the door, and experienced cold drafts on our legs as we ate. We indicated this to the manager?/owner? standing there for reservations. Instead of closing it right away - he said, I am keeping it open for folks with reservations -- we can close it when they're done. OK, without questioning why he wouldnt close it between reserved folks, we put our coats over our legs. About 20 ms later, all the tables were full - and he went to the bar. The curtain remained open. Added to that, our female server did not appear to like her job. When asked what juices she had at the bar, she answered: just orange. We noted that cranberry and pineapple appeared to be in cocktails - and she changed her answer. She was not patient when we asked about gluten free options, and actually insisted that certain dishes were not gluten free - when we were quite sure they were. Ice cream, for instance? When she kept insisteing that it was not gluten free - we sent her to please ask the manager. She never came back, and then we had a new server who told us it was indeed g/f. Honestly, the food and ambiance here is great. We will give it another shot. But if they continue to treat their customers this way (it's not inexpensive food, btw), we won't be back.
