This Will Be The Most Visited Country in the World By 2030 | Vogue

"Shanghai, for example, saw a slew of luxury hotels open in 2018. To name a few—Amanyangyun, the Bulgari, the Edition, the Bellagio, the Middle House, and the Shimao Wonderland InterContinental (which, built inside an abandoned rock quarry, has 16 floors underground.)" - Elise Taylor

I had a lovely stay at the Bellagio by MGM Shanghai. The service was excellent—staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. My room was spacious, and well-maintained overall, offering a luxurious feel with a touch of classic charm. The highlight of my stay was the stunning night view of the Pearl Tower from my room—absolutely unforgettable. Watching the skyline light up from the comfort of my bed was a real treat. While most of the room was in great condition, some of the furniture, like the study desk, seemed a bit dated and had visible marks. It didn’t affect my overall comfort, but it stood out slightly against the otherwise high standard.Afternoon tea was okay—nothing spectacular—but the ambiance and view more than made up for it. The hotel’s location is also ideal, close to the Bund and major attractions, yet quiet enough for a relaxing stay. All in all, a fantastic experience with just a few minor areas for improvement. Would definitely stay again.

One of the best hotels that I’ve stayed at. Stayed there for 2D1N on March 6 2025 with my partner for our anniversary and booked the city view room with the balcony! The views were great and the Bellagio team gave us a special surprise in our room. The rooms were luxurious and the amenities provided were great. I was checked in and served by a tall slim Chinese guy with glasses (sadly didn’t get his name) and his service was top-notch! We asked him about the promotional events going on at the hotel (Panda collaboration) and he helped us purchase the panda plush that we were looking for and also ensured that we were able to pay in cash (to avoid the 3% international card charge) and also helped us make reservations at the hotel’s restaurant and even gave us a free gift, the Bellagio lion plushie after showing interest in purchasing it!We also went for the hotel breakfast; They have the buffet section (which is quite small) and the made-to-order menu. Although the buffet section is small, everything I ate was at the highest quality and the made-to-order food tasted amazing as well. All in all, because of my 2 days here, I have became a lifelong fan of Bellagio Shanghai and will be staying here the next time I’m back in Shanghai! Kudos to Bellagio Shanghai!

Beautiful, well appointed hotel located by a tributary to the main river near the Bund, but in a quiet location away from the crowds and traffic; stunning views of Pudong from the restaurants, roof top (when it’s open) and some of the rooms, beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi, small gym. The rooms are huge and very grand.A stunning place. The only difficulty we encountered was getting any help or information from the concierge or reception staff: their English is very limited, as it’s often the case in China, and they really didn’t know anything about stations, trains, day trips, laundries, restaurants.. we had to rely on friends and the internet, which made getting around and sightseeing more of a challenge and unduly stressful. Kamil, the wonderful Polish trainee, was the only exception: he should be given a larger role, as his English and manners were impeccable.

A stay at the Bellagio Hotel in Shanghai offers a luxurious and sophisticated experience. The hotel’s spacious and well-appointed rooms provide stunning views of the city skyline, complemented by high-end amenities and plush furnishings. Dining options are exceptional, featuring a variety of gourmet restaurants that cater to both local and international tastes. The spa and wellness facilities are top-notch, offering a serene escape with a range of rejuvenating treatments. Located in the heart of Shanghai, the hotel provides convenient access to major attractions, shopping, and entertainment.

Beautiful hotel with some missing touches.||We stayed in a king Terrace room...great size with some lovely amenities and a huge terrace! ||Check in was smooth and lovely, we were escorted to our room which was nice too.||First night turn down service was terrific with some fresh fruit, water , slippers, bath robes hung eyc||Unfortunately from there it went down hill...and honestly I know this sounds so picky ...no fruit , bath robes in the cupboard from there on in...such a minor thing but the room rate is the same each night...so you would expect the same||As said we had a huge terrace with 2 chairs and an umbrella...but no table...the terraces both beside us had small outside tables so I asked if we could as well...I was told " no we don't have tables for outside " ???||All in all it was a lovely hotel but for the price I would expect a little more

If your looking for a different view to the Bund its great but make sure you check online which "river view" your getting to the Bund or Suzhou creek. Rooms are nice but weak wifi, international Tv channels resolution quality is mediocre.Breakfast is very underwhelming low quality ingredients you would get in any 3-4 star hotel no innovation or feel of Bellagio luxury.
