This Will Be The Most Visited Country in the World By 2030 | Vogue

"Shanghai, for example, saw a slew of luxury hotels open in 2018. To name a few—Amanyangyun, the Bulgari, the Edition, the Bellagio, the Middle House, and the Shimao Wonderland InterContinental (which, built inside an abandoned rock quarry, has 16 floors underground.)" - Elise Taylor

Gorgeous clean hotel with a great view of the Bund. Super nice pool with sauna. Everything there immaculately designed. I stayed there from 11/3 to 11/7, had the King room with a terrace. Room was elegantly designed.|Service there was top notched. I had trouble using my app to order take out for delivery so I asked concierge to help. I didn't the young gentlemen name but he used his own app to order food for me and brought it up to my room. ||When it was time to check out to catch my flight to Chongqing on 11/7, my flight got canceled last minute so I was scrambling. I don't speak Mandarin Neal Hao and Juni Guo was at the front desk. Neal helped me communicated with the airline. With him willing to help with the call I was calm throughout the whole ordeal. | |Wasn't sure that I would make my flight ontime. I told Neal and Juni that I will definitely be back if I didn't make my flight. Juni even jokingly said she will give me a free upgrade if I came back. Because of the staff at Bellagio, my next trip back to Shanghai I am booking the Bellagio. Kudos to all staff there!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and professional service. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and the room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. One of the highlights was the view — whether from the room or the rooftop, it was truly impressive. I also appreciated the amenities: a well-equipped gym, a relaxing pool area, and a delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. The location was ideal, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport, which made getting around very convenient. I also liked how quiet the rooms were despite being in a busy area.Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

Easily one of my favorite hotels in Shanghai. Service is top tier and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The meticulously decorated bathrooms are an exceptional addition. The mini bar… heaven! Didn’t get to have breakfast but will definitely be coming back.

I had a lovely stay at the Bellagio by MGM Shanghai. The service was excellent—staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. My room was spacious, and well-maintained overall, offering a luxurious feel with a touch of classic charm. The highlight of my stay was the stunning night view of the Pearl Tower from my room—absolutely unforgettable. Watching the skyline light up from the comfort of my bed was a real treat. While most of the room was in great condition, some of the furniture, like the study desk, seemed a bit dated and had visible marks. It didn’t affect my overall comfort, but it stood out slightly against the otherwise high standard.Afternoon tea was okay—nothing spectacular—but the ambiance and view more than made up for it. The hotel’s location is also ideal, close to the Bund and major attractions, yet quiet enough for a relaxing stay. All in all, a fantastic experience with just a few minor areas for improvement. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, well appointed hotel located by a tributary to the main river near the Bund, but in a quiet location away from the crowds and traffic; stunning views of Pudong from the restaurants, roof top (when it’s open) and some of the rooms, beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi, small gym. The rooms are huge and very grand.A stunning place. The only difficulty we encountered was getting any help or information from the concierge or reception staff: their English is very limited, as it’s often the case in China, and they really didn’t know anything about stations, trains, day trips, laundries, restaurants.. we had to rely on friends and the internet, which made getting around and sightseeing more of a challenge and unduly stressful. Kamil, the wonderful Polish trainee, was the only exception: he should be given a larger role, as his English and manners were impeccable.
