Great spot by the beach for brekkie. I liked my miso scrambled eggs special though the bread was a bit tough. But the mango smoothie was excellent. Service was good too!

Food was lovely, but the service felt rushed. I waited about 10 minutes just to get a menu after sitting down. The beach views and atmosphere are amazing though. Probably just caught them at a busy time :(

The best maple bacon eggs Benedict ever!!! Coffee is fabulous and so is the service. With views to Cooly beach and watching the water glisten while enjoying excellent food. Will come back to Bellakai for sure!

Have been here multiple times on vacation and not been disappointed once. The staff members are lovely. The two young ladies we were served by today were awesome and very accommodating. Not sure of the names but one of them had some beautiful tattoos and the other blonde hair in a ponytail. Both on front of house. We had absolutely no complaints about the food it was incredible as always and the hot chocolates are always consistent and taste phenomenal.

My family turned up for breakfast 9 of us. Where made feel welcome with a table to fit us in at short notice. The meals were absolutely amazing and well priced. The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was family oriented. Would highly recommended having breakfast/brunch at a fabulous place.

Sterling Saturday brunch. Compelling menu, great tasting food, excellent value and gentle down-to-earth service that was super attentive without being pushy. Three staff seamlessly served us, carving out a calm zone as if they weren’t even busy although they were at capacity. Can’t imagine why you wouldn’t enjoy eating here, and it might even lift your mood if you need it!

Quick stop in on a Monday morning for breakfast and we both had the fabulous Breaky Roll plus a cappuccino. Terrific spot on the main road, plenty of parking either side of the road and right across from the beach! ⛱️ Shady seating outside plus there's also inside, very attentive servers who will take your order from your table and then you pay at the counter once you have finished your meal. We'll be back next visit!

I've come back to update my review and increase the rating from 4 to 5 stars. I know this is a big call but I have to say that this place simply has the best service I've ever experienced. A special shout out to Bec, Anna, Nina and Luke who made our holiday a better experience, simply through excellent customer service. Bellakai is my benchmark of the customer experience.

The manageress (or owner) was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great, especially the seafood omelette. Coffee OK. The disappointing thing was that the waitresses were way to quick to remove our plates and cups, before others had finished their meal (giving us the "hurry up" signal) and even reached to grab my mother-in-law's plate while she was still eating. Also went to take away coffee cups before we'd finished. It was such a contrast to the host mentality of the manageress. We know that it wasn't deliberate to get rid of us, as they provided papers. We would return as the food is very good and the location great, but I'd want to ask the waitresses to let us all finish in our own time. I'm so old school.

What's important when breakfast dining? Everything! You'll enjoy it ALL here! The View, THE MUFFIN, the friendly service...next time I'm looking forward to a green machine smoothie - yum!

Bellakai cafe sits opposite the beach strip with both outdoor and indoor seating. An amazing breakfast menu to start the day.

Ate here for breakfast. The view is nice and the wait staff were very welcoming. BUT, we waited over 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. And once we got it, the food was cold and nearly stale. We also paid a pretty penny for it. There are better places to eat nearby. I wouldn't waste my time or money.

Me and my family visit Bellakai each year as a birthday tradition. Service is great, coffee is better and the menu, simply delicious. Thank you Bellakai for being such a treat!!

AMAZING SERVICE! our waiter was very attentive. The food was great but very overpriced for what it was. $25 for fish and chips?? No thanks!! There are many reasonably priced places nearby.

On previous trips to Coolangatta we very impressed with the food and service at this establishment.This time however, things are not quite the same. My first trip back was for breakfast, my choice was Eggs Benedict,I chose bacon as a side.The eggs and hollandaise were very good however the bacon was cold and greasy and the toast was cold and soggy, a disappointment. Thinking this was a one off bad day we gave them another chance for breakfast the following day.My wife chose muesli with fresh berries and was very impressed.I chose simple bacon and eggs on toast. Once again the bacon was greasy and cold and the toast wasn't toast. What was supposed to be toast was the end of a loaf of bread that hadn't been within cooee of a toaster, thats right cold and not toasted. My daughter chose a brioche, I can't remember the filling, and it too was cold and she claimed, tasteless. In all fairness it should be noted that this visit was on a busy Sunday morning and the staff were under the hammer.The table staff were excellent but the food took an eternity to arrive at the table. Sadly, as we were getting ready to leave, my daughters asked that we not come back here.

We've been going here for years. The food is great and the coffee magnificent. In the past we would eat there every morning. It's got fairly expensive now compared to other places close by so we restrict our patronage to a couple of times a holiday.

Came for some fresh seafood and a glass of wine with a friend. The seafood platter was way overpriced, minimal and poorly presented. The sea scallops were overcooked. Very disappointing food with poor value. The service was fine but I won't go back.

The coffees are simply the best in Coolangatta. Always freshly ground and perfectly rounded taste!
