Bellamar Hotel Beach & Spa

We had a lovely 1 week break at the Bellamar Hotel, which was excellent. It is located just across the road from the beach and is central to San Antonio Bay, with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, and nightlife within easy walking distance. The hotel is classical in style, open, and spacious and is cleaned to a very high standard, with rooms being provided with clean towels and bed linen every day. Dining is half board, but lunches can be ordered from the pool bar. Breakfast and evening meals are varied and cater for most tastes, with a fairly good selection of courses. Some entertainment is provided in the evening at the outdoor area by the pool, but consists mainly of one or two performers singing. There aren't any daytime activities provided by a hotel entertainment team, so most people just sunbathe around the pool or whirlpool. Drinks are available by waiter service from the pool bar. The hotel is equipped with a free gym, and there is a spa available at an extra cost, although we didn't use them. There is a room where luggage can be kept, which has changing and shower facilities for late pickups. The staff were very friendly and were happy to help in any way. The hotel, whilst being a little dated, is more than compensated by its many redeeming features, and I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent Hotel and great location. All staff are very helpful and amenities are great. Occasional evening entertainment was very good. The Hotel is kept spotless. The food at breakfast and dinner was great with plenty of choice. Drinks are reasonably priced and the selection will satisfy all tastes. Service was outstanding. Lots of guests have been returning for a number of visits which speaks volumes for the Hotel.

We’ve just got back from a relaxing break at the bellamar didn’t know what to expect but it had a really family feel run hotel. Rooms are a bit dated but we’re always clean as was the rest of the hotel. The dining room had pure white table cloths which is a rare site these days, there was always plenty of choice, the only suggestion I would make is to label the puddings as you didn’t know what they were even the ice cream looked like vanilla and wasn’t. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Perfect location for the beach we went every day €21 for two sun-beds & parasol. We would return.

Lovely hotel. Well located. All staff very friendly. Rooms spacious. Bed a bit too firm for me but otherwise comfortable. Left my kindle at poolside and didn't realise til I returned home. Contacted hotel who had my kindle behind reception and I arranged for friends who were staying nearby to collect for me. Food plentiful and very tasty. No queues for buffet. Omelettes and eggs at breakfast - perfect.

4th time at this amazing hotel I had a single room 4th floor had sea views , family had double paid for amazing sea views well worth it. So clean amazing staff as always . Food amazing staff are so so helpfull same staff from pre ious stays actually remember you, lovely pool bar amazing peaceful. A most to go you won't be disappointed .

Very good hotel, nice location next to the beach. Good breakfast and dinner, with plenty of options to choose. The bar at the pool is also somewhat plenty of choice, but with poorer service. We had lunch once by the pool, the food took ages to arrive and were delivered all at the same time (we ordered some starters to eat before the main meal, and the unfriendly waiter tried to discuss with us that the starters should arrive at the same time, even though they were cold when served). The wifi was terrible, slow speed and always dropping. The curtains at the bedroom did not completely block the sunlight, so be ready to wake up at the first ray of light in the morning

immaculately clean well run hotel in a nice area , All the staff are attentive and work with a smile on there face , front of house in the restaurant was very helpful , B fast good and evening meal plenty of choice too, only critique would be that the carpet was reminiscent of my nannas and could do with a change, also bar prices a bit over the top ,however the bar staff were great and also could not do enough for you . we enjoyed our stay .

The Bellamar Hotel is spotless. Food was great and plenty to choose from. No problem in getting a sunbed at the pool.|Location is great as in the quieter part but only a short walk into the busier part . We would definitely recommend this little gem.
