Bellapais Gardens Hotel

This genuinely is a wonderful hotel, retaining a welcoming sense of charm, relaxation and warm customer service that can be hard to find in the hustle and bustle of the modern age.||Set in the quaint village of Bellapais, the hotel is well signposted and easy to find down a steep hill, with guest parking either by the accommodation or outside the main reception. Our warm reception set the tone for the next few days and from the moment of arriving, we felt like valued guests.||Our accommodation (number 8) was superb. Set on two floors with unbroken views to the northern coastline and to the right the monastery was nicely in view. The rooms were excellent, clean, comfortable and extremely well appointed. Certainly amongst the best accommodation we have enjoyed for quite some time.||Below the accommodation and down a steep flight of steps, the pool. A good size with luxurious pool furniture and adjacent to the bar and in season, the external restaurant. An oasis of calm, a perfect place to relax where unobtrusive staff will serve you a drink or meal.||Breakfast was taken in the indoor restaurant, located with the lounge and reception. It was a short steep hike from our accommodation, not problems for us, but a reminder that Bellapais is built on a hillside! Breakfast was superb, both traditional and western, but with an extensive selection of local products and delicacies to savour while looking through the wide windows to the panorama of the north coast far below.||We were fortunate to still be in season and enjoy dinner by the pool for three of our four nights, the last being taken inside. Again, excellent in all respects, with a more comprehensive review submitted elsewhere.||This review might seem a collection of superlatives but all are wholly justified. We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing stay in this classic and genteel hotel. Most highly recommended.

Bellapais Garden is a wonderful getaway. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The scenery is breathtaking — Mediterranean Sea views in front and green mountains behind. The garden is full of citrus trees with a lovely fresh scent, and Bellapais Abbey sits beautifully on the hill above. The restaurant has a semi-panoramic view and a cozy atmosphere, with a nice fireplace where you can relax with a glass of wine. The chef is excellent and the food is delicious. Mr. Selim warmly welcomes guests and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay with great food and amazing views.

Staying at Bellapais Gardens was honestly one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had. The hotel is stunning, so peaceful and calm, tucked away in the mountains with views that are out of this world. You can see the Bellapais Monastery right in front of you and the sea stretching out in the distance, and waking up to that every morning felt magical. Everything was spotless, the hygiene was one of the best I’ve come across, which made the whole stay feel even more comfortable. The restaurant was just as special, offering proper fine dining with food that was truly unforgettable. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully cooked and presented, and I honestly don’t think words do it justice. The service was amazing too, the staff were attentive and friendly, and it made the whole evening feel like such a treat. It’s the kind of place where you leave already planning your next visit.

We have recently returned from our fourth holiday at Bellapais Gardens Hotel, after a gap of six years, and were delighted to find it as welcoming and enjoyable as ever. Akile, the receptionist, and Ercal, the manager, greeted us like old friends and we felt comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay and were well looked after by all the hotel staff. Selim still runs an excellent restaurant where we dined every evening by the pool, enjoying lovely food and attentive service. I cannot fault Bellapais Gardens, it is truly a gem of a hotel and we will certainly be back before very long.

We live in Bafra for 13 years .I was asked to Levi details as the manager with contact me in regards to the incident the night before. We accidentally left our keys in the room overlocked out he did phone the number of the given but no one answered so I had to wonder around for 90 minutes looking for someone to open a door to let us in very artificial in many ways have been there for three meals over the past few years that good years certainly will not be going back ever again

The restaurant has a beautiful view, but unfortunately the food did not live up to it. Kleftiko is a Cypriot dish we’ve enjoyed all over the island, yet this was by far the worst we’ve had. The meat was poor quality, carried a strong smell, and lacked any flavour. The two potatoes on the side were dry and nothing like authentic Cyprus potatoes, while the asparagus, cauliflower, and carrot added nothing to the dish. Even the desserts were very basic. Looking around at the tables nearby, the other dishes also appeared very plain. In my opinion, the whole menu needs refreshing and so does the approach in the kitchen. It’s such a shame, given the beautiful setting.

Beautifully situated by the pool below the Abbey with great views. The service is excellent, friendly and efficient as you would expect at this standard. Very Good food with the elevation of some Cypriot classics.

The view of the scenery and the settings are beautiful. The food is fresh, well prepared, far too expensive though. Good service. Far too many mosquitoes, ensure you cover up to your ankles during the evening.
