NEGATIVES:||||-On arrival at the ferry station we were met by a guy wearing an official t-shirt from the Bella Amie Guest House with a postcard of the hotel so we approached him. He said he was waiting for us to give us a transfer to the guest house, but asked us to pay for his bicycles (which in fact were in a very poor condition compared to other places that rent them out on the island) and when we said we don't want the bicycles, he said we have to pay 150 rupees if we want him to take us to the guest house. When we refused to pay this, he said ''ok ok, I get you free transfer''.||||-When we spoke to the owner of the guest house who very proudly announced that she provides her guests with free transfers, instead of apologising for the above incident, she just said that they like to ''help each other on the island'' and so she felt it was right for her to send a scammer to try to sell us his old bikes to us and ruin the first impressions of her guest house. ||||-The attitude from the guest house owner was as if she is in charge (which she of course is) and you have to feel lucky and thankful that she let you stay in her house. She came across as very dominant. However, she is clearly forgetting the fact that we paid a lot of money to stay at hers, so it would have been nice if she treated her guests as guests and let them feel like they are on holiday and she is there to help them not the other way round. ||||-The room is extremely small, there is barely any space to put you baggage there.||||-The bathroom had a shower, but there was no curtain / glass so every time you had a shower, the floor was flooding. I mean really flooding that even with your shoes on the feet would get wet.||||-The sink was dribbling at the bottom, so not only the shower was flooding the room but also the sink was adding to the flood.||||-The breakfast was quite small. You get toast, 1 jam to share between 2 of you, 1 butter, 1 small egg and a few pieces of fruit. As females we could barely do with that breakfast, but I am sure that men would struggle and would need to look for more food elsewhere. ||||-You have to wash your own dishes after the breakfast, so good luck if you want to preserve your manicure.||||-There is no reception and if you need something, you end up walking around the house desperately trying to find someone. You are lucky if you stumble across the owners son who seemed to be always walking around half asleep and not really acknowledging your requests.||||||POSITIVES:||||-They had 2 single beds which was a bonus for us (2 females) who did not want to sleep in the same bed as most other hotels / guest houses had only 1 double bed.||||-15 minute walk from the ferry station, 20 minute walk to Anse Source D'Argent||||-The room and bathroom looked nice at first sight.||||-You get your own kitchen with a fridge.
