Beautiful Creole house situated just 5 minutes from the centre of life on the island - La Passe. Situated just next to a lovely supermarket and the best pizzeria on La Digue. Lovely rooms and a real Seychelles warm welcome. Bikes available. Each room has access to a kitchen and they are beautifully decorated in Creole style. You are five minutes away by bike from the famous Anse Source d’argent beach. An ideal self catering guest house to discover La Digue.

We had the smallest of the rooms but still spacious enough for us. Very helpful host, which helped us with the transfer and bike rental. The kitchen was separate from the room but that was no problem for us. The breakfast they arranged each morning had coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruit, toast and eggs. The room was cleaned every day and usually you get fresh sheets/towels every 5 days. The view from the balcony was a little bit disappointing, that was the only minus we had.

We stayed at Belle Amie self catering for 10 days, and had an amazing time. Marchan, Laura and Dave where excellent hosts and made sure we had all we need. The value for money was very good. It is central located and combined with a bike this is a perfect starting point for exploring La Digue. Highly recommended

we stayed for 3 nights, the host daughter Mercianne was truly amazing, help us with newly bikes at a very good price...gave us a good insight of the local places worth visiting. Considering how pricey is La Digue, we found a local eateries called Gala about 2mins by bike from the hotel. great local dishes at reasonable prices.||We had a wonderful stay in the local wooden bungalow, This place is very safe, the only issue will be lack of light at night on the road.

NEGATIVES:||||-On arrival at the ferry station we were met by a guy wearing an official t-shirt from the Bella Amie Guest House with a postcard of the hotel so we approached him. He said he was waiting for us to give us a transfer to the guest house, but asked us to pay for his bicycles (which in fact were in a very poor condition compared to other places that rent them out on the island) and when we said we don't want the bicycles, he said we have to pay 150 rupees if we want him to take us to the guest house. When we refused to pay this, he said ''ok ok, I get you free transfer''.||||-When we spoke to the owner of the guest house who very proudly announced that she provides her guests with free transfers, instead of apologising for the above incident, she just said that they like to ''help each other on the island'' and so she felt it was right for her to send a scammer to try to sell us his old bikes to us and ruin the first impressions of her guest house. ||||-The attitude from the guest house owner was as if she is in charge (which she of course is) and you have to feel lucky and thankful that she let you stay in her house. She came across as very dominant. However, she is clearly forgetting the fact that we paid a lot of money to stay at hers, so it would have been nice if she treated her guests as guests and let them feel like they are on holiday and she is there to help them not the other way round. ||||-The room is extremely small, there is barely any space to put you baggage there.||||-The bathroom had a shower, but there was no curtain / glass so every time you had a shower, the floor was flooding. I mean really flooding that even with your shoes on the feet would get wet.||||-The sink was dribbling at the bottom, so not only the shower was flooding the room but also the sink was adding to the flood.||||-The breakfast was quite small. You get toast, 1 jam to share between 2 of you, 1 butter, 1 small egg and a few pieces of fruit. As females we could barely do with that breakfast, but I am sure that men would struggle and would need to look for more food elsewhere. ||||-You have to wash your own dishes after the breakfast, so good luck if you want to preserve your manicure.||||-There is no reception and if you need something, you end up walking around the house desperately trying to find someone. You are lucky if you stumble across the owners son who seemed to be always walking around half asleep and not really acknowledging your requests.||||||POSITIVES:||||-They had 2 single beds which was a bonus for us (2 females) who did not want to sleep in the same bed as most other hotels / guest houses had only 1 double bed.||||-15 minute walk from the ferry station, 20 minute walk to Anse Source D'Argent||||-The room and bathroom looked nice at first sight.||||-You get your own kitchen with a fridge.

We spent 3 nights there and can fully recommend this place. It is a self catering but you can get a breakfast full of fruits and toast. Rooms are quiet dark but with A/C and nice bathroom. You get towels and welcome drink. The Owner made our stay very nice. Very close to supermarket and Gala take away - best on the island :) Thank you for your host!

We stayed 5 days at Belle Amie Guest House and had a nice stay.|The owner and her daughter was very nice people, very friendly and velcoming.|Belle Amie is located nearby everything, just a short bike ride to the most beautiful beaches in the world. The takeaway and grocery store, just across the road. We had a lovely balcony just outside our room. Loved it, because you could have shadow whenever you need it.|We will highly recommend this place.|Siren and Erik|Norway |

Belle amie is a beautiful Créole style guesthouse 10 minutes by bike from Anse Source d'Argent and 5 minutes from La Passe town centre on La Digue. Rooms are tasteful and you can take the smaller downstairs ones or the larger upstairs ones. Belle Amie also offers budget "back packer" style bedrooms in the annexe building which has been newly built. So something for every budget. Ideally situed also with a great supermarket, bank and excellent restaurant just nearby. And for a warm Seychelles family welcome, there is no better place. See you next year again!
