Belle Isle Golf Range

This is the best practice facility in Detroit! From the TopTracer range to the manicured greens on the practice facility there is no better place to work on your game!

Really great facility. Friendly staff, plenty of bays at the range, and all of them now have Toptracer. They also have a great little 6-hole par 3 chip & putt course and a practice area with bunkers.

Wow what a gem this place is! I’ve gone a few times this season - way off my game it’s been about 8 years since I’ve gone to a range - and this couldn’t be the better place to get back into golf. It’s beginner friendly (it’s not just all pros), and atmosphere is fun and laid back. Chris gave me a few tips and my hits went from terrible to actually something good? Few little changes and bam I was hitting amazing. Going to keep coming back as much as I can

This is a great driving range. They have Top Golf's ball tracing technology. They also have a practice area for chipping and a sand trap to practice those shots from the trap.

Stellae Location, the Driving Range is stellar as well as the chipping and putting area, I strongly advise taking a lesson from Adam Wright, he really knows his stuff

I like this range and I also like their small chip and putt course. Plus belle isle is pretty so it makes for a scenic drive.

Looks great. Not so much. Very uppity? Unpleasant. Not really a great enough place to earn that uppity atmosphere. Made enemies with literally every hiker and tourist by shutting down the exit to the trail around the lake; amounts to approx. a 1.5 hr walk, 2 miles, stopping for photos at the CLOSED lighthouse, no water, with tourists of all ages (elderly, kids, dogs even...) assuming it's a short little jog back around to their cars.

I'm a new golfer. I still find the thought of going to a "regular" course daunting. This is a nice par 3 course - 6 holes + driving range. The driving range is nice and always quite busy. The course is very enjoyable - obviously surrounded by water with wildlife & nice views of the city. There's a tree on the 5th that could use a good trimming - it kept me from getting on the green! The 6th is my nemesis...I mean, project. The owners are always pleasant. They've done a great job with it.

Well maintained practice range. You can hit off a matt or grass. Management is very helpful and friendly. A pro is present if assistance for lessons is required. Beautiful little par three course, chipping and putting greens. Top Tracer will track each swing as you strike the ball, and don't forget to enjoy the different type of wildlife you will see while practicing your golf game.

The improvements to the Belle Isle executive course are incredible. It has transformed from a dog track (scruffy fairways and greens) to a well tended course. Whether you are a beginner (like my girl) or a seasoned pro, you will enjoy this track.

Great driving range option within the City of Detroit. I've been here both before and after the addition of the Top Tracer equipment. It is awesome to be able to track your shots and compare results over time. That said, I find it a bit pricey in comparison to other driving ranges. And some of the range balls have gotten a little too banged up...a few in my last session, especially.

I'd rather pay 10$ to have someone hit golf balls at me then pay 10$ to play this course. Driving range is below average as well. Don't recommend!

Nice practice facility for the most part. Bird poop from ducks, etc. needs to be managed better. Also, greens could benefit from better care. Maybe a partnership with MSU agronomist would help. Attention to these things would move it from a nice place to top in the region.

This is a great place to practice your drive and short game! Hit off the grass Friday through Monday, or Tuesday through Thursday on artificial turf. Totally reasonable prices on buckets, and a great view of the river. I dig it! Summer hours 9am-dusk - see the website for details.

This is a hidden gem on Belle Isle. There's a driving range - $8 for medium bucket, $11 for a large, a 5 hole mini course, and a 3 putting greens and 2 chipping greens. The mini-course has 5 holes that are 34-40 yards each. Pitch on, then try and 2 putt it to make par. If you buy the large bucket for driving you can also play the mini-course. Perfect way to practice your driving at the range then wander over and work on your short game. Plus you get a great drive around the island and can see all the great improvements going on.

Terribly managed. Chipping and putting area's conditions are atrocious. Progressively getting worse and worse the past 2 years. Don't waste the trip.

Good experience. Prices reasonable, staff very friendly. I would play here again in the future.

Beautiful and calm driving range. Great place to hone skills and relax. Met owner and she's very dedicated to making it a great place.
