A good size hill with stable ski conditions 150 miles from NYC. It's family oriented and friendly. The lodge is currently being renovated but usable. BelleAyre is twenty miles from the NY Thruway, but a common mistake people make is speeding on rt 28. You've just gotten off the Thruway where the cruising speed is over 70 mph. As a matter of fact, people give you dirty looks if you are going 70. The speed limit is 45 mph on rt 28 and the posting of that speed limit is inadequate. But the police surveillance is more than adequate. So, keep that in mind.

Great for intermediate skiers- lots of blue trails. Some harder than others. Not many green trails and the ones they do have are short. Wouldn't go if you're just starting out. Has a decent number of black trails and even trails that go through trees, though Hunter mountain nearby has lots of black trails for advanced skiers. If you're a beginner, Camelback mountain in PA has great beginner trails and even the bunny slope is super long and fun to ride!)

Amazing Mountain. Went on 1/24. First time here but the conditions were great, staff was super friendly. I also really appreciated how easy it was to find information on their website. Can’t wait to be back.

I come here every year, and the people are very friendly 🤝. However, this year I can’t give five stars because the dining area has changed. It’s only 50% of the original size, there’s less food, fewer tables, and even no napkins. Also, the magic carpet in the kids’ area wasn’t open today. Why is that? It’s a bit disappointing. Of course, I usually spend four days here for my ski trip.

Good ski mountain and a great overall experience but the food was awful and overpriced. What’s worse, the sandwich made me sick because it had clearly been sitting out for hours not heated nor refrigerated. Clearly they’re not making any food fresh, but you would think they could at least keep the premade items cold for freshness and then heat them up upon ordering.

Best mountain in the Catskills! I absolutely love it here! Great trails for everyone and reliable lifts as well. Tons of lodges around the mountain to stop into for a break. Highly recommended!

The best skiing all season long in the Catskills, a three hour drive from South Jersey and Philadelphia. “It may be an hour further than the poconos, but the conditions are 1000% better!”

Came here for a nice challenging hike. Parked in parking lot E and did Dot Nebel all the way to the top. Didn't have to deal with overgrown brush and could turn around at any point to see the incredible views. Would absolutely recommend this hike if anyone wants a challenging 1000ft climb in less than a mile. For a nice run down I would recommend Deer Run!
