My partner and I stayed in Belleek Castle last weekend for a little getaway, and it exceeded every expectation we had. The castle is absolutely stunning, the grounds are peaceful and beautifully maintained, and the service is genuinely second to none.||From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest receptionist, who checked us in swiftly, gave us a tour, and brought us to our room. We noticed a few flies around the window and light, and we were initially hesitant to mention it l but I’m so glad we did.||Stephen, the manager on duty, was incredibly apologetic and immediately arranged for the room to be cleaned while we were at dinner. He offered us a complimentary drink and even arranged for us to meet Mathieu, the General Manager and grandson of the legendary explorer who rebuilt the castle, Marshal Doran. Mathieu personally showed us the armoury, along with the incredible artefacts, weapons, and historical treasures collected over decades. What could have been a minor issue became one of the standout moments of our stay, handled with genuine care and professionalism.||The food deserves special praise.|Dinner in the Library Restaurant was exceptional packed with flavour and beautifully presented. We didn’t leave a single crumb behind. Breakfast the next morning was another lovely surprise. Instead of a typical buffet setup, we were served a freshly cooked breakfast from the menu. As someone who has managed bars and restaurants for most of my career, I was seriously impressed by the quality, consistency, and attention to detail even down to the freshness of the oil used for items like chips.||Overall, our stay was unforgettable. The combination of history, charm, warmth, and outstanding food makes Belleek Castle a must-visit. I’m still reading about the history of the grounds and have already recommended it to everyone I know.||A perfect 10/10. We can’t wait to return.
