Belleek Castle Hotel

The whole trip here was a fantastic experience the building and rooms look amazing with all the paintings, statues and memorabilia. The food was to die for and the staff amazing and friendly. If coming for the food make sure to get the steak is the best steak I've been had. The only issue we had with the whole experience was the bath plug wasn't working so we could fill the bath but there was a shower aswell in our room so it was no big issue

Stayed for one night and it was a magical experience. The castle is stunning, Christmas decor added to the beautiful ambiance. Every member of staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and cosy. Our meal was simply outstanding, full of flavour and catered to all our tastes. The four of us loved our stay and we will definitely be back in the future.

We recently stayed at this hotel with our three children (ages 6, 8, and 1.5) and were looking forward to a weekend getaway. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning surroundings and a very authentic, castle-like atmosphere. My two sons especially loved the castle’s style, the armor, and the overall ambiance. The receptionist and the staff at the reception were lovely and fabulous, which was one of the highlights of our stay.||However, the experience was marred by several issues. The room was not up to cleanliness standards and showed signs of neglect, with cobwebs and layers of dust. Given that the castle only has 10 rooms, it really shouldn’t be that difficult to maintain a higher level of cleanliness. We also received damp bedding for our baby. It’s important to note that it wasn’t the receptionist’s responsibility to ensure the bedding was dry, as that falls under the laundry department. Nevertheless, she was incredibly apologetic and lovely about the situation. Additionally, the room had missing knobs and handles on the furniture, and the radiator control was broken, making it impossible to adjust the temperature. To make matters worse, there was a private party downstairs that we weren’t informed about when booking, forcing us to leave in the middle of the night and cut our trip short. On a positive note, the hotel did refund us and did not charge us for the room, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, this stay did not reflect the prestigious reputation of the Blue Book Ireland group, and we were left very disappointed.

Beautiful atmospheric old castle. Staff and food in the restaurant were exceptional. One of the finest meals I have had in a long time. The quality of the produce was outstanding and the chef is clearly very skilled at delivering delicious dishes created with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. I had scallops to start, salmon with lobster cream for main (accompanied by mouth watering butter mash) and pistachio tart to finish accompanied by a very good quality bottle of Sancerre. Breakfast was by order and individually freshly prepared, again the quality of the produce was excellent. I would hesitantly suggest that some of the smaller details for example cushions, dried flowers and bathrooms are a little tired and require some refreshing.

we were at the castle on first days of december, Overall a very nice experience. Rooms are lovely, maybe could do with a little TLC and a attention to cleaning (there was a sweet o the ground in one of the room corners) but overall very good. Reception staff very good, particularly Raja, very attentive and professional. Food was really good. Some little points - at reception and bar area a member of staff was going around with mulled wine and mince pies, we were completely bypassed. When we asked another member of staff they said they would look into it but nobody came back. After the meal, we went to the bar, all the tabled areas were reserved, which was a little annoying, it seems that people who weren't staying in the hotel got preference over hotel residents. No running water in the morning which meant we couldn't shower and had to check out earlier.

I will be a bride here, but I am rating this as a guest because I got to spend the night here for my tasting! Belleek's service is incredible, their staff are the kindest people, the food is amazing, and the building and interiors are cozy and full of history. I feel relieved knowing I chose a venue with this kind of service! A special s/o to Eva/Elaine/Antonio/Raquel for making every trip here for us so memorable. IDK why you'd get married anywhere else!!

My partner and I truly had the best experience in the few days we stayed at the Belleek Castle. We were in town for a friends wedding and are so happy that we chose this place above all others. It’s the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. It’s beautiful, and its staff match the warmth and passion of the corridors and the rooms the castle hold. The staff - always so courteous, helpful and friendly, went above and beyond in every way. The room (we stayed in the Kings Room - because - why wouldn’t we?) was huge, warm, the furniture was beautiful and the 6 poster bed divine. Catering for every need - with its luggage holder, heating, robes et all. A beautiful, quiet getaway in Ballina. I’ve had the best sleep I’ve had in months. The castle sits alone, in a forest, away from the road so was very peaceful and relaxing. The dinner we had, as well as the breakfast in the morning were fantastic. From what I saw, there weren’t many rooms / not many people staying so you always feel like you own the place - that you are a duke or a monarch reigning over such a beautiful exquisite castle that has kept its charm and power. Truly, thank you so much - we’ll absolutely be back.

Booked for anniversary meal 2 months in advance. Received a phone call with 3 hours notice to tell us we've been moved to a side room so that they could accommodate a large 40th birthday party and we wouldn't be eating in the main restaurant as requested. Really disappointed but we had to cancel. We did manage to get into the cot and cobble and had a very nice meal at an affordable price.
