Loved our stay in this cosy bnb home cum hotel. The location was very scenic. However it is a bit far from the main promenade. But it was perfect for the views. Loved it.

Wi-fi is only available in the breakfast room. Basic breakfast but good coffee. Limited customer service. 10 min walk to local shops but you can call a taxi. Mobile burger station is a fantastic option for a quick bite as there is nothing available at the hotel. Kind and polite burger lady.

We have stayed in this nice hotel two weeks ago. ||The room was big and very clean, but small bathrooms Good mattresses, but pillows could be better (or at least leave extra pillows inside the closet for the guests). ||Breakfast was OK but they could offer a little more hot made-on-the-spot options. The orange juice was not natural. Good bread and croissants.||A cause of the covid restrictions, we've decided to have dinner at the hotel, on the second night. We ordered fondue, which was really good. However, it was a surprise to realize that dessert was not considered as part of a dinner service, as we were informed that we should "ordered it in advance" when we decided to book a table for dinner at the hotel. Weird response for a place that have a restaurant service and considering that bakeries were close to their location and get a dessert was not too much difficult (in case a home-made dessert was not an option to offer to guests). The Swiss staff were nice.

We visited Gstaad and stayed at Hotel Bellerive Gstaad | Bellerivestrasse | CH-3780 Gstaad on a weekend in February 2017.||||It was a spontaneous visit and we checked over booking.com and found this hotel, one of the only ones free in Gstaad on this particular weekend.||||We booked it and got the room. After that we went to the various sites and found to our surprise that the hotel had poor reviews on various sites.||||Some of the reviews were mixed and said it was good, and some others that it was not a good hotel. We said we have to wait that chance favours us and that we have a good experience as the reservation could not be cancelled.||||When we finally arrived in Gstaad and the hotel, and after our stay there, we are fully happy and satisfied.||||We were greeted very professionally and sweetly, by a young lady who was kind and gentle and handled our check in very well. The room itself was wonderful, big and very well equipped. Nice toilet too with an excellent powerful shower.||||That night we ate at the hotel, and the rustic restaurant and lounge area was extremely nice. The food was the highlight though, we had the Rösti and it was incredible. Some of the best we have had.||||Gstaad is a wonderful place and somehow being in the mountains and in this lovely place really rejuvenated us.||||The hotel is a bit out of the main town, but its walkable (15 minutes), has a normal bus connection (Bus 180 - 5 minutes walking) and the Skibus stops right outside the hotel and was free as well - (No walking needed). So really excellent connections to the town. The taxi charges 12 CHF from the train station to the Hotel and the taxis have Fixed tariff rates, and no meters in Gstaad.||||The hotel is close to a stream and a bridge and also when you walk 5 minutes you come to some stables and a horse riding center. Excellent for some fun with kids.||Breakfast is nice and wholesome and adequate. A treat.||||So overall we were very happy with our choice at the end, do not be scared by the poor reviews, do try out this little gem. It may make your holiday very pleasant. We were optimistic and were rewarded by a very nice experience and got to meet some really nice people working at the hotel.

Nice clean spacious rooms with balconies that give you a nice view. Staff was nice and the check in was smooth. However given the location and the weather around here I would recommend this place if you have a car otherwise it would be a long cold walk to Gstaad city center which can be unpleasant. In terms of value for money it is good. I really liked the hospitality of the young receptionist not so much of the older one. It counts to be friendly to a traveller. Breakfast served was limited but again the same young lady did as much as she could. Housekeeping lady was also very accommodating. All in all nice clean place would recommend to anyone just bring a car along

After reading some negative comments we were very positively surprised by this hotel. The rooms are big, nice, cosy and clean, as well as the bathrooms. The "Blond" receptionnist, who is in fact the owner, was very nice and helpful, looking for information about open ski areas for us. The breakfast was very good, We will certainly stay here again if we come in this region again. The price / quality relation we got in Bellerive was really excellent.

Very bad service. Staff was very rude and non polite. There is no bus stop in front of the hotel and they don’t propose a shuttle service. Last but not least a 2 person room cost us CHF 225.- off season. Unacceptable price for such a bad service. Do not recommend.

As frequently, I find the assessment scale at Tripadvisor inappropriate: there should be a mark between "average" and "very good"! As for the Bellerive, our room, looking southward with balcony, was great (supposedly "superior" category), no complaints there, neither as regards the "facilities" or the breakfast buffet the next morning. What I find a bit irritating is the restaurant (and bar) service: we came to Gstaad for a concert at the summer music festival and decided to have a bite to eat before the concert (between 6 and 7); well, the menu was extremely limited, and later, after the concert (c. 10:15 - 10:30), the place had shut down, not even a beer was to be had, not to mention kitchen service (the minibar in our room did come in handy). I think a Swiss (meaning you pay through your nose) four-star hotel should do better.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for two nights this summer and the experience was AWFUL. We could both move past how dingy and outdated the hotel was, we knew it was a good deal for a place as expensive as Gstaad. However, the woman who worked there made our experience truly awful. It started when my husband asked her for suggestions on where to rent a bike. She replied, shortly, "the train station". Later, I asked a man who worked there if he had another recommendation. At this point, the woman came bolting into the conversation saying "Just go to the train station!". I explained that we didn't expect her to have the answer of the best place to rent bikes, we were just looking at all of our options. The next morning, we went down to breakfast. I asked her for some coffee (patrons have to ask- it's not independent available) and she said OK and made it. We noticed that, as everyone else in the hotel came down to breakfast, she greeted them and offered them coffee. The day before at breakfast, she asked that we leave our used plates on their bar. So, on this day I cleaned up our table and brought the dishes to the bar. A few minutes later she came to the door of the dining room and YELLED at me across the room "Don't do that! Just leave your dishes!". Additionally, I asked her to fill up a large water bottle I had. She was unhelpful and suggested I do it in the sink. This woman, owner, employee, whatever, was nothing but rude towards my husband and I, often singling us out and making the hotel experience truly horrific. Don't ever go here, unless you hear they are under new management!
