I booked the reservation a week before and we made it to the 6:30 time slot (other time slots are full) When we arrived, they asked if we have reservation. We heard someone walked in and they told them "sorry we are full for the night". So make sure you make a reservation before going:)
The floor manager is very nice and he gave us two tables to choose from. We prefer the low table. We ordered quite a lot to try out everything, especially the more expensive ones with less reviews
- starting bread: it could be better
- cappuccino: average
- beef tartare: best I've ever had! They taste so good and slightly salty because of the smoked bacon/thick cut Parma ham in it. It'll be chewy (like when the steak is tough and not tender enough ) for some people. The beef tartare is good, but the salad on the dish is outstanding! This starter is a must try!
- onion soup: what would be better than a boiling soup in a cold night? Onion soup is boiling hot so please drink slow. The cheese is so good with the soup. It's sweeter than most restaurant but I like it
- scallop risotto: scallop is a must try!!! They cook it to the perfect temperature perfect timing, absolutely stunning! The risotto taste really good but it's too salty for me. I might try scallop with pasta next time
- seared tuna: beautiful plating and good choice of using veggies and quinoa. Very healthy dish for a city person like me, the tuna again, cooked to the perfect. I would recommend this dish to everyone
- dessert: bello cake is the most popular dessert so we gave it a try. It's good but not for my Asian taste bug haha. Coated with chocolate which I like, and the inside is like sea salt and caramel cream. The bottom is like cake with crushed nuts? Hard to describe. You can give it a try.
Overall, the atmosphere is 5/5, service super 5/5, food 4/5, improvement could be made: less salt for main dish, less sugar in the onion soup, and maybe have in house baked bread?
Btw don't know why they put 3 clients on my bill when we only have 2 people, and I think they charged us $2.5 for the bread.. thought it's free cause they gave it to every table before their appetizer (like east side Mario haha)
