Bell's Drive-In Restaurant

Every time I'm anywhere near Toccoa GA, I make the drive to Bell's. They claim to have the best fried chicken in Georgia, and I believe it!! Their meatloaf is pretty good too. This little diner is always packed but it's worth the wait. Really good southern comfort food with great service. Try the chicken gravy.......the best!!

Wow, it’s hard to believe we’ve been living up here for nearly two years, and this is the first time we’ve dined at this place! Our experience was nothing short of AMAZING. It has quickly become one of our go-to spots! The quality of the food matched the warmth and friendliness of the staff—everyone was truly dedicated to creating a wonderful dining experience for us. Being a family-owned restaurant, you can really sense the passion and care they put into their work, and it’s clear how their presence positively impacts the local community. I ordered the burger, and I must say, it was incredibly moist and delicious—definitely one of the best I’ve had! Plus, the prices were fantastic, making it even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu!

Great service tonight! We will definitely be back and will order take out as well. There is a reason this place is ALWAYS busy! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such reasonable prices on a menu AND great food. I can’t wait to try more things off the menu. Wonderful place

When I saw this I turned around and had to give it a try. It did not disappoint! I'm excited to come back, and will take a longer route to give other menu options that I was too full. The burger hit the spot, and the Georgia fried chick wings were delicious! Plenty of dessert options too.

Service sucks. Very unprofessional. Made fun of my brother who is special!! Believes the little girls that work there over a customer whom has being doing business there for year's!!! Kayla is very unprofessional as far as being a so called supervisor. Hung up on me told me to be the food back. Wouldn't listen to the issue that was going on. I don't care how long that business has been there you don't treat people like they are garbage and you definitely don't make fun of the Disabled! You don't ever have to worry about us coming back there. M&J buffet is much better and polite

Never had anything bad from this place. Burgers are good, Ribeye sandwiches are AMAZING!, Fries squash is the best never soggy! Creamed corn, rice and gravy steak tips. All of it is amazing ❤️

I’ve dined here for years and the service, especially carry out gets worse. It’s not difficult to get basic orders correct, such as not putting mustard on burgers, yet after confirming that during carrying orders, it constantly happens. Seriously, it’s not hard to for the cooks to actually read the ticket. Try it some time.

We had a pretty good experience here. I could tell they were short staffed and the restaurant was busy, under these circumstances, they did a fantastic job!! We had a party of 12! We got our food fast and it was fresh! Very good!! We never had to ask for a refill. All of our orders were correct! I wish this restaurant was in our town!

Most amazing fried chicken....ever Their blackberry cobbler is to die for! If you are looking for home cooked southern meals this is your place!

I had the Fried Chicken Livers with baked potato & Coleslaw. It was awesome. The service was excellent, with attentive staff. I recommend this place if you are in the Toccoa area and in the mood for comfort food!

Enjoyed the burger in basket. Delicious burger with all the fixings, crinkle cut fries made just right, and sensation slaw. All for just $9.99. You can't beat this place.

What a find. I haven't been to a place like this since I was a kid. The fried chicken is amazing and the hubby had chicken livers. We give it a 10.

So glad we stopped at Bells Drive-In. Service & decor is what you'd expect from a small Ga town. Meatloaf & sides are a solid 5. Took me back to simpler times, home cooked meals, and my southern roots. And the star of the show was the blackberry cobbler & vanilla ice cream. Definitely stopping again.

Our first time there loved the atmosphere and selection on the menu. i had the double hamburger, fries and coleslaw and my wife had the BBQ sandwich, fries and stew. my fries weren't hot so i asked the waitress if i could have hot fries, when she came back she dumped them on my plate and then took her bare hand and grabbed the cold fries and took them off my plate. that evening i got so sick throwing up and diarrhea all night, my wife only experienced a little sickness. the only thing that we both had was the fries and she had one bite of the coleslaw.

I would have thought I was at my Mama's having lunch. It was delicious! We have had fried fish sandwich, BLT, hamburgers and numerous vegetables. The fried okra is divine!

It's my understanding built in 1961 as a "Drive in" with the canopy, bell hops burgers and shakes. Don't let the outdoor restrooms decide if you eat there or not as I like the nostalgia because they need all the parking they can get. Well now to the reason I posted. Bells is a long-standing statement in Toccoa Georgia. It is your friendly neighborhood old timer new timer whatever timer and the food is excellent. Service is excellent. It's really a great place proud they've been a part of the core for years and years and years. As a newcomer to Toccoa, it is our go to place when we're feeling the old-fashioned fried chicken or hamburger! Don't get dressed up because you're gonna spill some food on you because the sides are that soppy good?

Bells is hit or miss, sometimes it's the best place in town and at others it's the worse. They really need to work on consistency. The absolute worst thing in the world is getting a soggy hot dawg.

Best fried chicken ever! The nicest staff around ! This place runs like a well oiled machine! Smooth and efficient. You won't find a better place to get a burger over chicken ! That why they have a line every Friday !

If you are looking for a good Southern style meal with Southern charm, I would highly recommend Bell's. We have enjoyed Bell's for over 50 years. They never disappoint. Best chicken livers this side of the Mississippi.

The food was really good. Service wasn't so good The waitress was mad because I asked for more tarter sauce. She charged me for it and didn't bring it. She was an older woman and she acted like she was mad to even have to wait on us. Its a great local place with good food. Just hope you don't get the same waitress we did. Her attitude just ruined the great dinner.

Delicious diner food and perfect sweet tea! It gets crowded fast at lunchtime for good reason! The fried chicken is as good as fried chicken can be. My mother loves their chicken livers. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Toccoa.

It was awesome. Country fried steak was great. They had gravy on the side which was super cool. Green Beans were better than my Grandma. Karen who was our waitress was like family. My wife lived her fried Fish sandwich.

The atmosphere is so prominent right as you walk in the door.. The food is good ..it's as if you stepped back In time and was eating at your grandma's house

One of my hometown favorites so I had to stop in while I was visiting my mom! We picked a booth when we walked in because it's a self seating restaurant. Brenda greeted us with a smile and brought us some really good sweet tea! She came around and checked on us every couple minutes to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I ended up ordering the chicken livers, okra and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. They gave me plenty to get full and take some to go! The food arrived warm and had a southern touch to it.

Absolutely the best place to eat in Georgia!!! Everything from the best fried chicken to fantastic cheeseburgers. Then to top it off with a slice of pie or a milkshake.

This restaurant is a Toccoa staple. I highly recommend it he chicken liver dinner, burger basket or ham sandwich.

I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. Best burger in Toccoa and no one can compete with their fried chicken. Great family environment and the staff is as courtesy as they come. If you have never eaten here before you are missing out

Don't let the old building fool you. It's the best hole-in-the-wall around! The sirloin tips, served with grilled peppers & onions, were cooked to perfection. The fried chicken was out of this world! Homemade fried Okra and mashed potatoes were a southerner's delight. We were seated and served promptly. We highly recommend Bell's Hamburgers for lunch or dinner (don't know if they serve breakfast).

Great food! Fried pork chops, fried chicken, chili dogs, salads, etc.--all of which taste so good. Some may find it important to know that the restrooms are on the outside of the building so it is inconvenient to get to the restroom when you've gotta go.

This place has went downhill since I last came here. The wait staff is rude (not our waitress, she was sweet), and the man who cleans tables made my mother get up out of her chair to get past and then made her do it a second time when he could have went around. The food is always good, but the atmosphere is terrible.

First time eating here. We got our food quickly about 5 minutes after we ordered. We got the burger deluxe in a basket. It was a big hamburger. Come with cole slaw and fries. The hamburger was good. Wouldn't say great. The cole slaw wasn't good. The sweet tea was great though. Service was excellent. And it's pretty cheap to eat there.

I went in with a group of 12 and most of us thought that the food ranged between meh and unpleasant. A few outliers liked the food. I think it really depends on what you get. It was also expensive for the type of food and atmosphere. I wouldn't go back.

They have posted a special menu entitled COVID-19. Ordered (2) Chicken dinners for $13.00 with mashed potatoes white pepper sauce gravey and cole slaw. Brought it home and it was so delicious. Certainly recommend this drive in for a nice good priced meal. Call ahead and go around to the side for pick up. Most convenient. Aloha and Mahalo Nui Loa.

Great little diner in town. Very friendly service. Food was great home cooking. We couldn't decide what to get so we got several things to try. Did not disappoint! We will definitely be back. Great family restaurant. Prices were great.

Very good southern food for anyone interested. A staple restaurant in Toccoa. Not something I'd eat weekly or anything, but good every now and again. I haven't found anything on the menu I didn't like. Only compliant is that they have the strangest business hours of any restaurant I've ever known. Closed on the weekends which limits my availability to go.

My go-to restaurant after hiking in the area. Good service and great food. It's in a strip shopping center and looks a bit out of place, but I've found these types of joints have the best food. You won't be disappointed here.

We went here because of all the positive reviews& ever time we go to Toccoa it's packed. I had the chicken liver, hubby had fried chicken. The food was a little bland needed more seasoning but Texas Pete helped. The macaroni & cheese was watery but mashed potatoes were good. Our waitress was nice. We will probably go back.

I could really like this place but I never know if my order will be right or whether the food will taste ok. Or if it will even be opened.

Bell's is simply your small hometown American Diner and you could say as far as Small American Hometown Diner's go, it's a 5 star for that. A seat yourself but fantastic southern hospitality and food experience after that, it's completely unassuming hole in the wall diner outside well makes up for the food options and service inside. I can't even tell you everything I've had here, I've been here at least a dozen times and had everything ranging from the fried chicken, fish dinner, sandwiches, and bbq chicken. I don't think there's really anything on the menu you can go wrong with, everything comes out well assembled, piping hot and tasty. A staple of Toccoa and a place you have to put on your must-eat-at list if you are in this town.

The fried chicken is amazing. Prices, atmosphere, and patrons all from the 1970's. A throwback to days gone by. Well worth an extra 30 miles of driving to visit.

Bell's Georgia Fried Chicken is out of this world. Takes me back to my grandparents Sunday dinners. $6.99 you get 3 pcs and 2 sides. You most definitely want be disappointed with anything on the menu. So if your in the area make sure to stop by.

Southern hamburger and Georgia chicken! This restaurant takes you back to a different era as soon as you walk through the door with friendly service that makes you feel like a regular. The fried chicken and hamburgers are definitely recommended. Next time will have to save room for dessert!

Real down home atmosphere with real good food. Their burgers are what you would expect from a home cooking type diner. Friendly service. Pretty good chance your waitress will call you "hon" or "darlin'"!

This place isn't much to look at, but the fried chicken makes it worth a trip. It was outstanding -- not greasy, nicely seasoned, and crispy!!! The baked potato and the mac and cheese were okay. Go for the chicken!

Not sure what's going on but ordered 4 plates of their iconic chicken fingers and got some of the worst food service chicken strips I have ever ate. Not only that but the coleslaw was bland and the crinkle cut French fries were obviously frozen food service fries. I have lived in the area now 5 years and that was by far the worst food I have eaten. Praying for the old Bells to return

Great burgers and fries!! Very packed when I went which is a good sign as to how good the food is. Got takeout after realizing it was "seat yourself", and I had my mom and baby waiting in car. Realized it was easier just to order to go! 1 Star off because when I tried to order food to-go the older cashier lady told me I had to wait until all the customers waiting to pay had paid in a not so nice manner. Luckily, a younger nicer lady directed me over to bar area to take my order. I will come back to dine in if I'm ever back in Toccoa!

Atmosphere is old country. They have an. order window you can walk up too. Food is very reasonably priced. Check out their chili dog $1.50 for two on Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday. Avoid the slaw upcharge. Their chili slaw dogs are awesome though. Their burgers are great. You get a real burger for the price of a quarter pounder at McDonald's.. If you're an onion ring fan, get them with a side of their homemade ranch dressing. That is five stars all day. Love the place. Employees are always super friendly.
