I came here with a big group. The young ladies who took care of us were such gracious hosts. I ordered a mocktail and steak. The steak was not something I’d recommend or enjoyed, but when I told them, they let me order something different and the Cod Ratatouille was INCREDIBLE. I am still eating on it, as we speak, as the serving size was VERY generous. And the white creamy sauce on the side…amazing. I will definitely be back. Very kind staff, very delicious food.

First time coming here since Belly took over Hoss’s. Paid 50 bucks for 2 sandwiches and 1 fry. The Rueben was so over cooked and the ends of the pastrami were so burnt it was inedible. Not char, burnt. I hate when people exaggerate to make their poor review have a larger impact. So when I say it was inedible, it was too gross to finish. Ate half in house covered in extra dressing and just threw the rest of away.

Had inarguably the BEST pastrami I’ve ever eaten. They make it in-house and it’s spectacular. I ordered a “double” meat since last few times (from other places) the serving was pretty puny. Not at belly! Huge, huge sandwich. May be able to eat half of it. Taking the rest home. YUM.

Belly Market is hands down one of my favorite lunch spots. The team is always welcoming, the atmosphere feels cozy and local, and the food is incredible. I can never resist ordering either the salmon salad or the fried goat cheese salad—both are packed with flavor and always perfectly prepared. Highly recommend!

Came in for dinner after a couple of good lunches, and I've got to say this place is unique. They have short rib, octopus, and a varied wine and cocktail selection. The Chablis was wonderful with their goat cheese salad, and the staff were very friendly and genuine

People, people, people if you have been here before you MUST come back for the current version. They have perfected their groove and now you can get giant artisanal salads, sandwiches or 15 amazing unique small plates. We had the wild mushroom lasagna and meatballs with caesar salad. The red sauce is the best in Missouri. Cocktails are amazing and wine and beer list is on point.

Belly has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Columbia. I love that I can go by and get a quick lunch close to work that is carefully crafted. You can get anything from wings with the perfect crisp to a healthy option with chicken & veggies or a salad. To my surprise, they also have a very fun craft cocktail bar. I love that my wife and I can go out on a date night and stop by Belly for a fun experience that doesn't involve having to go downtown. Greg is an incredible bartender and it's a blast to describe the kind of cocktail you want to try, then let him dream up a new drink that you likely never experienced before. He even has a mocktail recipe that he's perfected. If you haven't already, give this place a try!

We had a fantastic dinner experience at Belly. This up and coming restaurant not only had very friendly service, but the food was fantastic. The scallops were seared to perfection - best scallops I’ve had in Columbia. Some other stand outs included the carrot cake we had for dessert, and the fancy ham and cheese was also delicious. The squash (pictured) and fried Yukons were also great. I can’t write a review and NOT mention Greg the mixologist. His bar is well curated with small, but unique choices. Incredible drinks done very well; it’s clear he is passionate and takes time to ensure the cocktails are very well crafted. We can’t wait to try brunch here, and we will definitely be back! Im looking forward to seeing this spot make a name for themselves in the Columbia food and beverage scene.

The BLT is USUALLY outstanding! 9 out of 10 times, when prepared fresh. Best sandwich in Columbia when prepared fresh. Salads are very good when fresh.

We stopped by here for a business dinner. The drinks at the bar were amazing and very delicious. We had the octopus for dinner and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. The squash was something to write home about. I highly recommend it for every person that eats here. The service was amazing and very attentive .

First time eating here since they bought Hoss's Got the Italian hoagie and fancy ham and cheese. Both were fresh, large and good. We both brought half home. We will be back

We came in for lunch on a week day, and we arrived just before the lunch rush around 11am. I had heard this place has one of the best salads in Columbia, and it was big and delicious. The staff was very friendly. Ambiance is like a deli style fast casual spot. - Cobb salad (4/5): The salad was a large portion, with lots of bacon, chicken, cheese, blue cheese. Great combination and delicious lunch option. Comes with dressing on the side. I got ranch which was perfect. - Steak and burrata sandwich (3.5/5): This sandwich was the special of the day. The bread was perfectly toasted, buttery. Good portion of steak, which was cooked well. The sandwich was juicy, good flavor overall with pesto. The meat could have been seasoned a bit more but still yummy.

Belly has been on my long list of spots to try here in Columbia, and I'm kicking myself for not prioritizing this sooner! I've gotten the fried goat cheese salad now twice, and it still lives in my head rent free. The staff is so kind, the food comes out quickly, and the atmosphere is welcoming! One of my new fav lunch spots, and definitely worth trying! I'll be back soon!

Absolutely delightful meal. Food was delicious. The server, Rosanna, was so knowledgeable and accommodating but not overly so. She was an ideal server. The restaurant temp was chilly.

Slow service. Our server disappeared for some time. Wings were burnt and almost inedibly salty. I took the majority of the order home with me with the intent to strip off the meat & give it to my dog. I've reconsidered. Got meatballs as well. Burnt outside, tepid inside. Really a bad experience. Wouldn't recommend.

Excellent food... and even better drinks! One of the BEST bartenders in town! They have several vegetarian options, all of which are very good. And, make sure that you save room for dessert... DELICIOUS!

Super inconsistent. I've had good enchiladas from this place and then one of the worst sandwiches ever. It bugs me that I let the management know that I had been served a bad meal and that no one sought to make it right. I didn't make a fuss -- just wrote a straightforward email and received no reply. Can't recommend this place.

I don't normally write reviews on restaurants but I received a $40 gift certificate last year to Hoss's and didn't realized they had been purchased by Belly. My impression was that when you buy a business and keep it as the same type of business you also buy their debt which includes gift cards. I called and the "owner" told us tough luck. They were really pretty rude so I won't be patronizing this business. There are so many other restaurants in Columbia that I'll take my business elsewhere rather than supporting a grill that doesn't care about the impression they create with patrons. (Plus I've read some pretty distasteful reviews here anyway.) Maybe it saved me from a nasty bout of food poisoning.

Got the rigantoni special with pasta la fata pasta and it was amazing!!! It was a couple weeks ago I think. I wish they had that all the time! The staff was great, the food was hot and delicious. The restaurant itself was clean, casual, and comfortable.

Belly always has at least one great offering on their hot lunch menu, and their deli case is diverse. Ben and company make some delicious food. Definitely stop in and check them out.

I have ordered from here several times using grub hub. The burgers are good and the pea salad is awesome. I always have to get the smoked wings and their ranch is fantastic. They need to expand their kids menu choices. I have one kid who would eat wings all day if I let him but the other has little kid taste buds and needs something basic. I doubt I'm alone. Other than that they rock

We just adored Hoss's, and the new owners of the renamed "Belly" (gross name) have updated the look for sure, but the food quality and choices have plummeted. VERY few menu options. All the fun wines and cheeses and spices and gifts and canned stuffs are gone. Old lunch favorites are gone (they claim they will still make them: why are they not on the menu, then??). And a couple of days ago was the last straw: my husband was eating his salad WHEN A BUG JUMPED OUT. He picked up the large piece of lettuce from which it appeared, and there was dirt all over it. And the seafood gumbo was NOT how it used to be -- had a weird fishy smell and milky and lukewarm. He got food poisoning -- I'll admit, there's no way to know for sure if it was at "Belly" -- but sure seems a strange coincidence. We used to love it when it was Hoss's -- seems like now all they care about is catering.

Just moved to the area and was very pleased with the service and the Pulled Chicken Sandwich and fries! Also has a great selection of Wine and Beers!

Great place to get a burger and side salad. It was Missouri grown beef and home made salad dressings. It's also market where you can take home to cook your own.

This place is amazing with great food and friendly staff! Lots of choices. Also lots of wine. We were there for lunch and they have delicious sandwiches and pasta! Desserts looked awesome but was too full to try! Highly recommend!

Josh and I are so very grateful and blown away by the service we received from Hoss's Catering in Columbia MO for our Wedding. From our first tasting which was more like a full thanksgiving meal (they gave us full-size chicken!) to the service received on our day was top notch. Hoss's catering staff treated us with the utmost professionalism and provided great table service. The biggest pet peeve of ours is when guests are done eating and plates sit and sit on the table before they are cleared, needless to say, we did not experience that. Hoss's also accommodated some of our more non-standard requests when it came to how the salad was served, cake cutting, and late-night appetizers. Our guests were very satisfied and we have received many compliments on the food. The food we chose for our big day, buffet style, chicken dijon, beef brisket, garlic parmesan mashers, homestyle green beans, and Pasta Al Fredo. Yum! Pulled pork sandwich was amazing. It has Cole slaw in it, which worked perfectly in the sandwich. However, ordered some on the side and it was too soupy. Also had a size of the broccoli salad, which also was a bit too soupy and sweet. So, I subtracted a star just because of the sides. The sandwich was great- not too sweet and the bread was a good mix of chewy but slightly crunchy.

Our family chose Hoss's to cater appetizer type foods for a Celebration of Life that we hosted here in Columbia. We had heard good things about Hoss's food and they did not disappoint. Trish was great to work with and she helped with suggestions for the vegetarian members of our family as well as some delicious meat based items for the others. The food was delivered and set up efficiently by one of their friendly staff and he came back at the agreed upon time to pack up. People raved about the food from Hoss's. We look forward to enjoying food from their market again.

Got a chicken rotisserie meal to go. We loved the rub on the chicken. Our sides, mashed potatoes and green beans, were delish--although our gravy was not included in our to-go bag. Would certainly return!

Stumbled across this place, while taking our newborn child to the doctor. Actually, my wife spotted it as we drove past. Glad I turned around! Doing so made both my wife and stomach very happy. I ordered their Fish & Chips. To be honest, the Cod was the best I've eaten since living on the Oregon coastline. Even better is it was cooked perfectly! Believe me, it takes a lot to impress me and I'm still impressed with my meal. My wife ate the prime rib. She's sort of a picky-eater, but she was amazed at how tender the meat was..."I'm using my butter knife to cut it!" A big thumbs up to anyone looking for a great meal with a relaxed atmosphere!

We stopped by here on Tuesday for a quick lunch. My husband got a Rubin Sandwich with coleslaw and I had al pull pork and potato salad. We were quite disappointed with our meals. My pull pork was cold and flavorless. The potato salad had very little flavor and the potatoes were bearly cooked. My husband was surprised at so little meat on the sandwich and the coleslaw was bland. We will not be back.

Just walk in and you salivate. Forget Pavlov and a bell. No sound needed here. The smell alone started my stomach growling in anticipation. Rotisserie is the word here. Sandwiches, salads, even meat platters, this is great spot for lunch. This is also a darling market with tasty treats like sauces, truffles, and cookies. One of the folks with me for lunch ordered a baguette to go. He said that it is fresh and just right crusty. Since I am here for a business lunch, I was boring and ordered the Cobb salad. However, I was delighted when it showed up with hunks of rotisserie chicken with fantastic flavor! Based on the aromas wafting through the air and the tasty rotisserie chicken, I would eat here again. Even if I wasn't hungry, stepping through the door would fix that!

I don't think I've tried something at Hoss's that I didn't love. They have a HUGE selection and you can tell that they put a lot of time and thought into their recipes. I consider myself a baked beans connoisseur, and Hoss's are AMAZING. I would recommend this place for any and every event- good thing they cater!!! BONUS: they have a tiger gear shop inside!

Their store smells so good. They have a ton of cool food items, kind of a mix of high quality food products such as condiments, snacks, sweets, pasta, sauces, etc. by different brands and some of their own homemade items too. Lots of Mizzou merchandise also including clothing and such. Once I bought their pork chop with brandy peppercorn sauce meal and added roasted potatoes and green beans. I also got a pound of their spicy smoked chicken wings and took it all home. It was all delicious and the pork chop dinner was enough for two meals. I also have tried their Prime Rib (which I think is only on Fridays) and it was enough for two days of food again and was moist and tender. I also recommend the lobster bisque when they have it. It's creamy and has chunks of real lobster in it. I do think the prices are a bit high there for a lot of their products though. I was looking at jars of their homemade salsa and I thought the $6.99-7.99 price tag was a bit excessive for the amount given. The meals can be pricey too although you do get quite a lot. Most of the time it's enough for two dinners for me.

Okay, I can only rate this place on it's BBQ beans. Because what else matters, really? I mean, beans take a lot to get right, and it's easy to do mediocre. Anyhow, they are the magical fruit, right? Anyhow, I saw Hoss's at the roots, blues, and bbq thing in Columbia, and tried their beans. Lots of big chunks of some sort of meat, and a good spice. They also do non-bbq catering, and it's above-the-line kind of stuff, even if they use some sort of chinese-take-out sauce for the hor's douvres. It looks like from their web site that they make take-home meals, soups, and their specialty, rotisserie chicken. So someone needs to actually visit this place and report back with more bbq data.

Great food and Great customer Service. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend Hoss's, to anyone looking for great catering. From Sophisticated, to casual, Hoss's has you covered!

I would not say this is the best place in Columbia to eat because the food is generally good but not great. The prices are also good but not a bargain. The best thing is that the food is consistent and solid...and service is fast, so it makes a great place for lunch.

Amazing as always. When I'm in town I eat here or carry out least once and maybe twice a day. Fresh food, great staff and portions are always generous and enough for leftovers. This week I enjoyed 4 days of great food including a delicious Cobb Salad lots of chicken and fresh veggies - Just off the grill chicken sandwich - not on menu but they fixed it because I said "I wish u had a grill chicken sand." Great wine and special drinks togo. And the catering is amazing. My clients go wild when I mention Hoss's. Five stars

Wow Just Wow!!! My wife and I have driven past Hoss's for years now but with so many places places to eat in COMO it just hasn't happened. Well today we stopped in for lunch with our two little girls and had a wonderful lunch. We have been missing out on so much more than just a lunch or dinner spot, they have so much GOOD food to go along with a great wine selection, anything you would need for a party tray, and almost a small line of grocery items. We are so sorry we haven't stopped in sooner but plan to make up for lost time! Thanks for all you do and your wonderful restaurant!

Over the years we have periodically eaten or picked up food from Hoss's and have never been disappointed. Tonight we splurged and got their Valentine dinner for two. 2 filets, one 11 ounce lobster tail, 2 twice baked potatoes, 2 rolls, a large Caesar salad, and 2 truffles. Everything was excellent. I can truly say the steaks were probably the best I have ever eaten. We will think of Hoss's more often when thinking about where to pick up dinner.

Hoss's Restaurant in Columbia has the BEST FOOD EVER!!!!! I first ate here as a recommendation from my hair stylist a couple months ago. Ever since then, I've eaten Hoss's food 4 or 5 times a week, plus I leave with a carry-out or two. The food is absolutely 100% home made from scratch, right down to the salad dressings & soups. "Hoss's Famous Enchiladas" on the Tuesday dinner menu are so delicious that I eat them in the restaurant AND take an order home when I leave! Three DELICIOUS crispy corn tortillas with Hoss's special creamy chicken filling, topped with a cheesy sauce. "Chicken fried Chicken breast" on Monday night is crispy & so tender you can cut with a fork. The smoked meats, steak & seafood are top quality. Their mashed potatoes are REAL potatoes that they boil, (not instant potatoes) & they are flavored with real butter...not margarine. Other fantastic sides are creamed spinach, scalloped potatoes, sauteed vegetables...the list goes on & on. You can ignore any nasty reviews you might read about Hoss's. They are posted by people who obviously don't know what GOOD FOOD is. And the prices are NOT too high!!. I've known people who pay more money for sub- quality food at fast-food restaurants. You will love the food at Hoss's! If you ever ARE disappointed, the owners, Trish & Hoss want to know & will make everything right for you. Don't just leave unhappy! Tell them!!

Okay, "WOW - Hoss's is AMAZING", are the words that pretty much sums up my recent experience with Hoss's! Osborn Barr, the company I work for, recently used Hoss's for a tailgate at Mizzou and could not have been happier with every aspect of their catering expertise. Not only was Trish incredibly responsive, but she was pro-active when it came to the game time announcement and updated options, and as a meeting coordinator, I truly appreciated that, as that is an almost unheard of quality in any service based business these days. When it came to game day (or morning, as was the case of our Tailgate), they were on time, coordinated set up of the various groups immaculately, and the food was AMAZING, as was the staff. Every member of the Hoss's team was stellar and professional - I was so impressed as were all of our tailgate attendees. It was their special touch that made this the "best tailgate event ever" - which I heard several times throughout the morning. Would I use Hoss's again? Seemed like a busy spot, and the food might be great, but we were made to feel unwelcome. Will not visit again.

Quaint place, half shop, half restaurant. They've got coffee, and desserts as well. This place has more character than most spots in South Columbia (not the 'cool' part of town). Lunch and dinner are REALLY good here, but you have to be on time for it, because they cook it like grandmother used to. Come on the off hours and you're likely to get something that's been sitting. If I lived in this neck of the woods, I'd come all the time.

The food- great. The treatment of paying customers- HORRIBLE. I work just across the street from Hoss' but I will never be back. I informed the staff that I have a dairy allergy. They put cheese all over my food. When I called them to state the error, it was "Oh well, you didn't say cheese specifically. So what do you want us to do about it!?" Then when I drove back on my short lunch break, I was met with more RUDENESS. I WILL NEVER BE BACK I don't care how good (or overpriced) their food is!

I ordered take out from this restaurant from the Order Up service. The food (prime rib and baked potato) was warm but the prime rib was as tough as shoe leather. The potato was fine as well as the iced tea. The delivery guy was exceptionally nice and delivered my order quickly.

Really good food and service. They offer gluten-free buns which was great. I appreciate places the offer gluten-free! It was so nice to be able to eat a sandwich!

Hoss's definitely makes it into my top five places to eat lunch. The service is consistently good and fast. The food is always made fresh and amazing in the prices are very reasonable. I bought lunch for under $10 yesterday and it was worth every penny and more. I spend about the same at a fast food chain and leave disappointed with the quality, where that "food" came from, and with myself in general. With Hoss's you can't go wrong. Keep up the awesome work!

Amazing food right here. I love how they always make sure the food arrives on time at just the right temperature. I've never been disappointed by this guys. Quality service all the way. I've been their loyal customer for almost three years now.

Hoss's is probable the worst food I've ever eaten. The store is right down the street from my house and I've tried them out several times. I've tried several dishes and each of them has been uniquely terrible. At this moment I'm eating overdone, way too smokey beef jerky. The only time to eat at Hoss's is when every other eating establishment is closed and your pantry is barren. And then go in with the expectation of terrible food and you might be pleasantly surprised with their horrendous fair.

I tried their Almond Chicken Salad - 1 Lb., and it was absolutely delicious! The Bowtie Pasta Salad (5oz) was a little too oily for my taste. Their Strawberry Cheesecake was incredibly good as was their carrot cake. Highly recommend them for delivery.

Hoss's catered our event last night. It was fresh and so good. I had a filet and it was cooked just right. It was so good. I also enjoyed my baked potato and awesome green beans!!! Check out there catering !!
