Belly of the Beast

We chose to sit here since we didn’t want to wait in line for the well-known Flying Dutchman bar upstairs. This place feels more spacious, and they also offer a wide variety of cocktails. The presentations are visually very impressive. The service is attentive, but unfortunately you do end up waiting a bit too long for a single cocktail.

This was a fantastic bar. My wife and I visit bars all over the world trying different cocktails and the bartenders here really knew their stuff. To me, a great cocktail bar is one where the bartenders are able to be creative with drinks, and we saw that first-hand here as Jinny, Mariano, and Fillipo were creating new drinks for their next menu. We even got the honor of trying one of the drinks and giving our feedback. I recommend this cocktail bar to any looking for a great drink in a fun atmosphere.

The reception was very warm and welcoming. The €1 tacos special was super nice. Their drinks are the reason I scored the food as a 3 star. Watered down Palomas for my wife and I. Disappointed. We really love our cocktails and know this wasn’t it. Other than this, the place is has a nice layout and the server that served us was great.

Belly of the Beast in Amsterdam was easily one of the best cocktail experiences I’ve had. Every drink we ordered was absolutely perfect. Well balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with real attention to detail. You can tell the bartenders really know their stuff too: super knowledgeable, happy to recommend something based on what you like, and they nailed it every time.

We went here for Taco Tuesday and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was super fun, the tacos were delicious and the staff was really friendly.

This is the place to be for your late night drink every day of the week. Good drinks and bites till late. So give it a try!

This place is so cute and a great late night vibe! I enjoyed the food, drinks and staff so much and can’t wait to come back!

Have had, and made quite a few vodka martinis in my time but - Jinny knocked my socks off - I think maybe the best martini I’ve ever had. Hats off to him. I’m a tough customer.
