Belly's Watering Hole

We were looking for some food mid-day and this place popped up nearby. The food was decent and the service was good. However, they seem to cater mostly to foreign retirees. It gave us more of a dive bar feel, but still worth checking out if you're in the area. The also have e a pool table, which is nice.

I got to make my own breakfast the staff are enthusiastic and up beat, one even came to have a chat with me. I loved the toast, hash browns and my eggs were well cooked but the sausages weren’t great. But it was cheap and cheerful! 130k

Nice place for western cuisine, though the servers don't speak much English which made communication a bit complicated. Hot and fresh food, pizza was freshly oven baked and tasty. The grilled sea bream was well made and the pepper sauce was so good we asked for extra! Decent vegetarian options too and of course plenty of cold beer 🍺

A Vung Tau Institution never a bad meal here always consistent with the food and service. First time back in a couple of years, we had a great lunch and a relaxing time, bumping into old friends!

Excellent food and service. I come here a lot and always feel very welcome. The menu has a wide selection of food and the portions are large. I usually go for the Belly burger or chicken parmigiana which are both top notch. Great grub no matter what time of the day or night it is and the eatery is usually my go to spot for comfort food! (Especially when hung over)

Good solid expatriate comfort food here. I had the pork with mustard sauce (eh), Giang had the barbecue pork ribs (ah). Giang ordered better than I did. Anyway, they were both good plates of food for a reasonable price. So this looks like the main Australian expatriate hang-out bar of Vung Tao possibly all of Vietnam. Seems like a lot of old timers come together here to pass the time they got left. It also looks like the bar runs tours to Long Tan Cemetery and the battlefields where the Australians fought during the Vietnam / American War. Probably this is the best place where you can learn about Australia's participation and their soldiers' bravery in that war. I don't get it though how some people are defined or find identity by their military service. I'm retired from the American Army. I don't know, sometimes I feel like I was never in the Army and those decades never happened.

Amazing food and drinks, diverse menu, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would recommend.
