Belmont Shore

You leave home but somehow you find your way back. Growing up here was a blast. Everything is walking distance from each other. You have everything on the main strip, the bay on one end and the beach is on the other. Neighborhoods are nice and quaint with cute bungalows style homes tucked away. And of course the fame second street with loads of shopping, dining, bars, specialty boutique and many local businesses. A small but big feel city with everything in close proximity. Loads of nice restaurants to choose from. Depending on what mood your in for food, there's always something there. Thai, Indian, Japanese, Mexican, Middle Eastern. Whatever you're craving there's something for everyone. They use to have some of the chain stores but those have fizzled out and replace with one of kind boutique. It still has the same feel many years ago but with a new twist. Locals and visitors enjoying the streets, window shopping, cocktail at one of the local bar/restaurant. Perfect place for a day or a nice weekend away.

My neighborhood and my college weekend hung out. Great strip for just chilling, hanging out at bars, restaurants, coffee shops, donut shops, or any shops. Great vibe and cool ocean breezes. Parking can be a hassle, especially weekends or holidays. Easy walk to the beach or the lagoon of Naples.

The parking fees are out of control. $8/hourly behind super mex. Just ridiculous!!!! I don't know how people are okay that. While I was walking around, some older gentleman got a ticket even tho he tried to pay the meter parking on the street, which wasn't working yet he got a ticket (he called the cops which couldn't help him). I miss the old days of Belmont where it was a joy to walk around the mom and pa shops. Now it's just about talking advantage of the consumer.

The most popular places on 2nd street in Belmont Shore have to be 1) open sesame - Mediterranean. Street side seating 2) nicks on 2nd - a bit on the fancier side 3) saint and 2nd - date night. Upscale dining as well. 4) simmzys - always crowded. Outdoor seating. Pizza and beers 5) George's Greek cafe - try the lamb chops 6) ranches Chicago pizza - known for deep dish pizza but I go for the maple bourbon wings 7) domenicos pizza salad and pasta 8) Pietris - morning dishes and sweets throughout the day 9) Angelo's Italian subs and pizza and pasta 10) cafe gazelle - romantic Italian spot 11) dogz- specials everyday. a broad menu 12) Riley's on 2nd- happy hour menu with pizza and burgers 13) lb tap house - best burgers on 2nd street but $20 and fries are a la carte 14) legends - good for sports and ufc. Dance club upstairs. Try the wings. 15) taco shore - try taco Tuesday specials 16) super mex - more Mexican 17) Sanchos tacos - more to go Mexican 18) Shannon's Bayshore - local watering hole with pool table and tri tip burritos 19) murphys pub above Belmont athletic club next to salud 20) Quinn's. Try the sliders and the bartender ellcee is great Also try out rakken ramen for plant based ramen and poke pola for some poke. There's quite a few coffee shops such as Starbucks, Philz and Pietris etc Breakfast spots such as let's yolk about it and breakfast republic opening soon A subway, chase, rite aid, el pollo loco, banks, gyms, pressed juicery, dog snack shops and local attire (lb swag) (beach on 2nd) Hair and nail salons and massage and tattoo parlors. Liquor stores are macs on 2nd or liquor locker or the spot on Granada and ocean Sweets such as cinnaholic, frozen sweets Just the Verizon is not an official Verizon They have a marijuana shop called catalyst Vietnamese - mangosteeen pho or bahn mi Just missing a pizza slice place and a bagel shop and some Chinese. Belmont mail shop is great too along with ace hardware. What else is missing?

Belmont shore is a trendy atmosphere. Plenty of restaurants and clothing shops. They is paid and street free parking. If you are looking for tackle? There are a few shops to choose from. Happy shopping in Belmont Shores.

Came here to enjoy my birthday and did not disappoint by the options and service. Got to eat some great burgers and enjoyed the day out
