Belvedere Swiss Quality Hotel Grindelwald

We had a wonderful trip! The hotel staff answered all of our questions and in general helped make our stay comfortable and memorable. We asked about bus schedules, local trips, weather, tickets, it didn't matter, everyone was always willing to help with patience and a smile. Our room was spotless and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We could not have asked for a better experience. The restaurant had delicious and generous meals, a highlight was Friday night steak tartar custom made at our table by the the owner, Urs Hauser, what a treat! The piano player in the restaurant was a delight and made every dinner better. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and had so many choices of food and beverage. We are so thankful to the Hauser staff and family for making us feel like family while we were in Grindelwald!

visited June 2024 Although we only ate at the restaurant and didn't stay in the hotel, we got a good look at the grounds and inside. Everything seemed clean and well organized. Although the hotel is located in the middle of the downtown, it is large and has plenty of room to walk around. The views are pretty good considering it is down in town. Their gondola fondue is a fun experience, but might be best for the fall and winter, because they turn into ovens in the summer. Would visit again.

The view from this hotel is wonderful. Words fail to describe what you can see. Rooms and service are excellent. Very quick walk down from the train station but the hotel will send a shuttle to pick you up if you call them but I would suggest this is only needed if raining. One of the best hotels We have stayed in.

I recommend this hotel and I'd rate our experience a 100/10!! We flew in from the US and were greeted by the friendliest staff with a welcome drink and the most incredible views in Grindelwald. Our room was upgraded and had been decorated so nicely for our special occasions (birthday and anniversary) that we were celebrating. We had dinner down at the restaurant which was amazing and the hotel and property was so peaceful and very clean. It was hot outside when we visited and the AC unit inside the hotel room kept us so very nice and cool. We will absolutely be returning and staying here again. We cannot thank the staff enough for such an incredible and magical experience that we will seriously remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you for everything and cannot wait to return again in the future!

I have never experienced this level of customer service. From the moment I made my reservation the staff went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. They made all the arrangements we needed, transportation to/from the train, answered all my random questions and all with such positive energy. I just felt at peace at this hotel. The grounds are lovely, the views are breathtaking, rooms were spacious and nice and the pool with the indoor/outdoor jacuzzi was the cherry on top. Seems like they've done some updates although the bathroom in my room didn't seem to be updated. Not an issue but the shower set-up was a bit awkward. The food was good, especially the fondue and brownie desert! We had beautiful weather, soooo warm, and it was easy to walk to restaurants and the different train lines. ||I hated to leave this hotel, truly great experience!

I knew this hotel would be wonderful, and it exceeded expectations in about every way. ||The room design is very thoughtful and intentional — from the panoramic views, the storage, the lighting/shades, and so much more. We stayed in a deluxe Eiger view room (highly recommended!) and it was outstanding and immaculately clean. They thought of everything! ||The service at the hotel was excellent - front desk and restaurant staff were all friendly, attentive, and helpful. ||The spa and wellness center was fantastic, we loved the opportunity to soak in the jacuzzi and whirlpool each night… and with views of the Eiger!||The location cannot be beat as it is just a a few minute walk from the Grindelwald station (not to be confused with Grindelwald Terminal). It seemed this side of the station is more private and quiet than the other side, which was fantastic. There are many restaurants and stores within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The restaurants inside the hotel are also wonderful. ||We are so very happy we selected to stay in Grindelwald instead of Interlaken. It is the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and nature. It turned out Gridnelwald was more convenient than Interlaken for many of the mountain activites we wanted to do (Jungfrau, Murren, Lauterbrunnen). Thank you Hotel Belvedere for making our stay in Oberland an outstanding one!

My wife and had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Belvedere Hotel during our honeymoon. We were immediately impressed with the vistas and stunning beauty the property provides. What made our stay a 10/10 was the amazing staff. Kimo at reception helped us better plan our day trips and activities, as well as answering the many questions we had with a pleasant and welcoming attitude. Our server Anabela was incredibly warm and endearing and made us feel as if we were eating dinner with family. Last but far from least, the bar manager Felix whipped us up amazing drinks and conversation during our “Fondue Gondola” dining experience. The food was amazing, the facilities are charming and well kept, and all of the complimentary amenities made us feel welcome and special. We will most certainly be returning to the Belvedere in the future

We stayed at the Hotel Belvedere for 3 nights May 27-30. What can I say that others haven't? The room was clean and comfortable. The view from the patio deck was something out of a story book. The staff were ever so helpful. And the breakfast buffet was delicious and very clean. My husband is a retired health inspector and he was so impressed with the set up of the buffet and cleanliness. The hotel was everything we had hoped for. Thank you to you all for making this a special time for our 40th anniversary.
