We had a fantastic experience at Ben Nghe Street Food. There are so many different food stalls to choose from, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Whether you're looking for local Vietnamese flavors or international dishes, they have it all. The staff members are very friendly and welcoming. Plus, unlike many other street food spots, there are plenty of seating options, so you don’t have to worry about finding a place to sit. Highly recommended if you're in the area

Great food market, the best in town if i may say. Easy to reach, right in the city center, with many (safe) options for food and drinks. Is is crowded in the evening, but still nice and you can spend couple of hours here (while you decide what to eat from all the great options). The food is prepared on the spot, and the waits are not long. We were here daily at least for one meal. The mango juices are to die for.

Ben Nghe Street Food Market is one of those places that quietly solves a lot of travel cravings all at once. Centrally located in District 1, just a short walk from Independence Palace and the bustling Bến Thành Market, it’s easy to reach from most nearby hotels and fits naturally into a day of exploring. We ended up here three separate times: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which probably says more than any recommendation could. The sheer range of options is the draw. Stall after stall turns out Vietnamese staples in all their comforting, familiar forms, making this an ideal place if you want to sample widely without hopping all over the city. It’s truly a greatest-hits lineup, designed for curiosity and appetite rather than restraint. Seating is communal and straightforward: long tables with bench seating that keep the energy lively and social. Beverage stalls are scattered throughout, offering everything from strong Vietnamese coffee to fruit smoothies along with a full bar and live music, making it easy to linger longer than planned. Timing matters. Late afternoon into the evening is easily the busiest stretch, with crowds filling nearly every seat. Earlier visits feel calmer, but even at peak hours the movement stays relatively organized. Ben Nghe Street Food Market isn’t precious or curated for show. It’s practical, abundant, and built for eating. If you’re looking to try “all the things” in one sitting and want a reliable, central spot to do it, this market belongs high on the list.

We went here because it was easy but we were extremely disappointed. The food wasn’t good and it wasn’t cheap either. We got Thai- we didn’t even finish it. We got a beef kebab which was ok but could have been better. We also got roasted egg plant which was the most intriguing. The best thing was the mango coconut milkshake. I wouldn’t waste your time going here.

I liked it, but most I liked some of the boys doing skanderberg there in their spare time :)) like really. That was the most authentic expenrience there. In rest, it is more modern street food, westernish, for the americans to enjoy. Price included, not very much more, but it's there. So go other places if you want the authenticity and not too many americans around you :)) Music and too much of a noise at some point. We could hardly hear each other. P.S. not so authentic as one of the pics uploaded says :)) I wonder how a real street food from the '90 would be then. Otherwise, once again, not bad. As you can see the stars I've given. :) for the smoked duck stake only 5 stars, you have to check for others. I really liked it.

Ben Nghe Street Food is an alternative place if you’re a tourist. Not the authentic Vietnamese street food feels but the place is really clean and very spacious. There are a lot of choices for food local Vietnamese cuisine, Korean dishes, Japanese noodles, assortment of juice and also if you want rice or seafood, you can find it here. It’s a convenient area if you want to drop by around district 1.

The atmosphere was amazing! So many representations of Vietnamese and Asian culture foods here. Open late so you can get some food all night long. Would like to commend the live band that was playing on Saturday night. The singer was absolutely belting out the sounds and was really impressive. The food speaks for itself. Well seasoned and great portions. I had the Banh Mi, Banh xeo, strawberry smoothie and the beef pho rolls. If you come here and you have allergies to food. Make your best judgement as they say they have gluten in everything but I’m not sure they full understand what gluten is.

Stayed in a Hotel nearby, only a 15min walk away. Read good things online and came here for dinner after a long day on our first day in town. The whole set-up is like a street-food market, but covered. And all in one place. With plenty of seating in the front. A smoking and a non-smoking section. Even though busy, there were always some tables (or at least part of them) available. There are many stalls to choose from and there's really something for everybody. Vietnamese classics like Pho or Vietnamese Spring Rolls of course, but also steaks, skewers, all kind of rice and noodle dishes. And a stall specialised in snails, mussels and shellfish. We chose food from several stalls, getting a buzzer from each to pick up when ready. Of course there's a place selling beer (tap or bottle) as well. Good priced even. Nice and cold. Ordered some veggies, steamed spring rolls with pork and Cha Lua (steamed pork sausage), Xôi chiên phồng (like fried rice sandwiches) and a plate of sea snails and mussels. All really delicious items. Nicely cooked and well priced. Enjoyed it very much, so we came back the third night. Some veggies again, again the Xôi chiên phồng (a real favourite), a whole fish, some more sea snails & mussels and also "Cha Dum Mo Chai". Like a steamed meat loaf. Contained pork and also pork liver. I really enjoyed that one. Again of course a couple of beers with the meal. A really fun place. Atmosphere is great. It's very lively, some music is playing over the speakers. People are in a good mood. And the staff cleans up quickly (they do appreciate a small tip, but nobody is pushing it). Great value food here - like I said, everybody will find something interesting.
