I’ve been a regular customer here for years, mainly ordering for my dad, and I usually have good experiences. But what happened today was really disappointing and honestly upsetting.
I placed an order and was told it would take 15–20 minutes. Not even a few minutes later, I called back to cancel due to a sudden change. Instead of simply helping me, I was questioned about why I wanted to cancel.
What made it even stranger was that they claimed the food was already ready, even though only a few minutes had passed. It felt like I was being pressured, almost forced, to come pick it up. I was even asked, “Are you going to come pick it up or not?” in a tone that didn’t feel professional at all.
Then the manager got on the phone and made the interaction worse. She brought up “past years” of cancellations (3 times) which confused me since I order regularly and haven’t had an issue like this. She even told me I can’t order the next time or at all, which was hurtful and uncalled for — especially considering I had just ordered from them the day before with no problem.
I was simply trying to handle a quick change for my dad. I didn’t expect to be spoken to like I was doing something wrong.
I’m not writing this to be negative, I’m writing this because customer service matters and you never know what someone is going through. Even if you’re having a bad day, it shouldn’t be taken out on customers. I genuinely hope management reflects on how situations like this are approached moving forward.
