Had to find somewhere to stay at short notice due to the ferry not running because of the wind. This was the perfect place to spend the night. Very nice and clean rooms with a balcony. Great price. Would stay here again

I travelled here with my girlfriend. The place is well located, close to a series of good restaurants and the parking municipal in case you cannot find a free parking in town.||It is a busy area, but the windows were very good and kept the noise out. Clean and cosy, inside and reasonably priced. Comfortable bed. No 24 hours reception but you can reach them on the phone. There are no shutters, if you like to sleep in compete darkness take a mask with you.||Overall I would recommend it.

Tarifa ! PARKING IN OLD TOWN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE . Apart from this,, hotel is fabo, next to lots of tapas/bars/ restos. nearby and a nice homely local aspect to the rooms and halls. Yes coffee machine in room means morning a yuba duba do, start to the day. Room was spot less and well looked after ,maid was in every day keeping us happy. It has a boutique feel , we like. would stay again , and we know where to pay parking tickets/fines. love it.

I still don’t understand how it is possible? The host tells you « don’t worry you will pay at your arrival and it is not a problem if your card doesn’t work when you booked ». And then the evening we arrived, the host canceled our reservation without a call or message! It didn’t seem to be a problem for her even if we were with a child… To give the room to somebody else. Fortunatly some others professionnals of tourism helped us to find something in order not to sleep in our car. So we cannot give a good opinion to someone who is not looking for the satisfaction of clients. On the contrary!

We were supposed to stay at Benali last year. We booked a room several weeks out & gave out Visa number as a deposit. A week out we got an email from them saying there was a problem with the card & we needed to call them. We were already in Italy, so I had to spend vacation time and expensive phone time trying to sort things out. Just trying. I gave them the card number, & they said it wouldn't go through, even though I had been using it in Europe for two weeks with no problem. Visa confirmed there was no problem. Visa called the hotel. The hotel wouldn't take the card from Visa. I tried to call them back. Now suddenly no one could understand any English or the little bit of Spanish I knew. Then they just hung up on me. Repeatedly. ||So, we decided to just find another hotel in Tarifa. When we booked there were lots of rooms available in the $65/night range. Now, a week out, there was nothing for under $300/night. It turns out that there was a soccer game in Morocco that weekend (a short ferry ride from Tarifa), & all of the hotels were charging top dollar for the few remaining rooms. Including Benali Guesthouse, who now had the room we reserved on their website for five times what we had reserved it for.||So we had to cancel not only our trip to Tarifa, but the rental car we were going to use to get their, our ferry tickets for going to Morocco, and our tour of Tangier. And we had to find a place to stay in Sevilla for an extra night. All of this while we were on our vacation.

For a stay in Tarifa, this is an excellent alternative to an hotel. The guesthouse is full of authentic, rustic charm with the typical Spanish-Arabic touch. Nice, clean rooms with prime location for dining out - just outside the doorstep!

Lovely and cozy place in the center of Tarifa. Terrace with amazing views of the old town and exclusive possibilities to hear live music from the nearest restaurants, while you have a tasty dinner or just resting from the day full of surfing and jogging. Excellent place to spend your holiday.
