Could not recommend this experience enough. We did the Selezione Benanti Premium tasting of 5 wines and a “full former lunch” for 120 Euros each. We were blown away by the food, the pairings, the knowledge presented, the stunning grounds, and the overall vibe and atmosphere. The risotto was particularly delightful - my favorite dish. It completely exceeded our expectations; we will be returning!

We loved our visit and can’t recommend this experience enough. The Benanti tasting room was gorgeous, Dario our host was generous with his expertise, and the hospitality shared by the estate was incredible. We booked our tasting in advance and had a pretty small group along with us. We hope to come back again soon.

Our visit to Benanti was a highlight of our time in Sicily. From start to finish, the experience was warm, insightful, and memorable. Our guide, originally from Canada (though her name unfortunately escapes me), was absolutely lovely. She was deeply knowledgeable—not just about Benanti’s wines, but the entire Etna region. Her passion for the area’s wine culture, history, and geology was contagious. We came away with a real understanding of what makes Etna wines, and Benanti in particular, so unique. Even within a small area, the wines vary dramatically due to differences in soil, elevation, and microclimate. It gave us a new appreciation for how expressive and distinctive these wines can be. We also learned about the recent eruption of Mount Etna and how events like that shape the future of winemaking. It was fascinating to hear how volcanic activity affects the soil and presents both challenges and opportunities for growers and producers. The wines themselves were excellent. Each tasting was paired with food that was a pleasant and thoughtful surprise. The dishes were clearly chosen to complement the wines and added an extra layer to the experience. The winery grounds are peaceful and full of rustic charm, and the overall atmosphere was intimate and welcoming. Every staff member we met was kind, professional, and attentive. This was a truly enjoyable and enriching experience. If you’re visiting Sicily, Benanti should definitely be on your list!

This experience was incredible. The wine was delicious and the tappas accompanying it were absolutely exceptional! The staff was lovely and the interior and exterior design was beautiful. I highly recommend!

We visited here driving through with no reservation. The team were very welcoming and accomodating. While they couldn’t sit us down for a full tasting, they did offer us to buy a bottle and sit and take in their beautiful location. We felt like the luckiest couple ever. The wine was beautiful, location was stunning. Highly recommend you make a reservation so that you can experience all they have to offer. While they were well in their right to turn us away, we are ever so grateful that we had the opportunity to make some great memories here.

The Benanti Winery tour was the highlight of our vacation. We chose the “Iconic Tour” and paid a small extra fee to enjoy it privately — and it was absolutely worth it. We had a private room where we experienced a curated wine tasting, paired with exquisite dishes prepared by their chef. Everything was beyond exceptional. Without a doubt, it was the best meal we had in Sicily. The quality of the wine and the level of service were outstanding.

This was the first winery we visited while in Sicily, and we were not disappointed. I will say, this winery's tours are pricier than others. The food was fantastic, the presentation was great, and the wines were good, but I don't know if all that equates to double the cost other wineries charge. Regardless, we enjoyed our tour, they accommodated our vegetarian preferences, the estate was gorgeous, and our sommelier was very informative. We prefer semi-sweet reds, so we didn't end up buying any wines here, but we found most of the Mt. Etna wines we tried were generally drier. Although pricey, it was a great experience, it was just the two of us and we had so much fun, so would highly recommend! We visited around the third week of September.

Truly an extraordinary experience. Giuseppe, our guide, was fantastic, knowledgeable, welcoming, and incredibly patient with my not so wine wise American family. Food was next level.
